GREAT BATTERY LIFE & STURDY BUILD. This is about the 7th or 8th Chromebook in the family and happy so far. Was looking for something something kids could abuse and also suitable for semi-rough treatment at the beach, camping, etc. Also wanted excellent battery life, which this has (non-touch screen version), typically 11 hrs plus at about 80% brightness. Is very snappy with new processor. Screen isn’t the highest quality but better than expected at this price. All-plastic build, but very sturdy, and more compact than earlier models due to smaller bezels. And it gets updates until June, 2028.
Amazing value, amazing battery life- a couple frustrating issues. This is my first Chromebook, and overall I’m quite pleased with the purchase. I’m mainly going to be using it for basic internet browsing and writing, so when I was shopping for the right model I was favoring cost, weight and battery life over other features like screen size and processing power. I ultimately felt this was the best balance of weight and battery life for the price. I definitely wasn’t wrong about the battery life. I’m amazed. This thing lasts and lasts. It’s not the fastest computer but it suffices for my use case. Two things that bother me.This first is the lack of an illuminated keyboard. I knew it lacked one going into it, so I can’t complain that much. I just didn’t realize how much I’ve come to rely on it on my other laptops. I’m often using the computer in dark environments, where it’s difficult to see the keys. Again, I knew this wasn’t an included feature, so this isn’t really a complaint as much as something to give extra consideration to before purchasing. With that being said, even with the lack of the illuminated keyboard, I don’t regret the purchase, and would buy again.Which takes me to the second point. There is an issue with some of the video playback. In extra bright scenes in videos on YouTube and elsewhere, there is some discoloration in the highlights. Meaning, that in certain areas of the video, particularly that are white, there is some blue artifacts/pixelation happening. I have confirmed that this is an issue with this model and have seen it replicated in floor models at Best Buy and heard other people complain about this. I’m frustrated that HP has allowed this to continue to be a problem without offering a fix. As I said, most of my use cases involve writing; so video watching isn’t high up on my list of priorities. If it was, this would be a much bigger problem for me.Overall, I’m pleased with the purchase given the price, and recommend it for anybody who is looking for an inexpensive, long battery life Chromebook option.

Great for me. I’ve had this Chromebook for a few months. I needed to sell my Macbook Pro due to financial issues, so I got this and was definitely worried because of the iffy reputation of Chromebooks. It works really great, though. It’s a little bit slower than my Macbook, but I was expecting it to be WAY slower. I don’t like that there’s no keyboard backlight – makes it harder to use at night. I don’t really like that there’s no actual desktop and no way to actually fully shut it down, but that’s a Chromebook problem in general, not specific to this version. Other than those minor issues, it’s great. 9/10. Definitely a good buy/a steal!
Nice. I use it for class and it’s great
Good as new. Looks brand spanking new. Light weight and a good battery life
Basic Computer. I purchased this non mac computer to interface with my home embroidery machine, this is perfect. A simple computer, functions seamlessly and easy to use, wireless or by flash drive. This computer with it’s modest price is a bonus Big win for my sewing room
Good 👍🏾. Like
Excellent, the right size for me and works great. I’m always a little leery of buying refurbished instead of new. However, this nice smaller Chromebook seems to be working fine so far! I really appreciate the size (I can easily hold it in my lap) as well as the lower cost (I’m a cheapskate!). Be aware that like many older Chromebooks, you may not be able to update the Chrome. However, I am mainly using this as an offline writing device, so as long as I can get access to Google Docs and Drive, as well as my email, that’s not a problem for me.

No Complaints. Needed a new laptop because mine aged out of the field. For the price, it’s a great unit. Good sound, great display resolution, basic boxes checked. Very light weight, quality keyboard, not a touch screen, good battery life, great processing speed.

👍👍. 👍👍
Nice little laptop. I bought this to use on vacation trips so don’t need a lot of computing power. It serves my needs and the smaller size, although takes some getting used to, is totally fine. I was hesitant about getting this as some reviews were critical of the track pad but I haven’t had any issues. The display is not that clear and looks like you are looking through a screen. But again, for what I need this is fine and the price is great.
