Useful product for 4 servings, but not many more, … a bit pricey, … the sleeve is slippery. Useful addition to my sous vide experience. There is a lot to like, because it is pretty well suited to sous vide cooking with my model of sous vide, if a bit pricey. The container is ample for more limited number of servings. It very comfortably handles 4 servings of things like steaks and chops. Feeding 8 could be a challenge. The underwater holders are serviceable and configurable. And the container is not so large as to be unwieldy. That’s a good thing. It’s efficient in its limitation.Additionally, the cutout in the top neatly anticipates my sous vide unit without modification.I like the idea of the neoprene sleeve because insulating the water container should help maintain temperature at higher temps more evenly. On the plus side it is reasonably thick and a decent insulator…. However, putting the sleeve on the container is a bit awkward because of the narrower base than top. In theory it slips on from the bottom. But it fits tightly and wants at every turn to slip back toward the bottom again. With no straps or loops to grip, this is an awkward process, that never actually satisfactorily is accomplished. The lack of attachment points to the container for this sleeve, threatens to make this a forever struggle. … We’ll see.Usually the recipe books that come with cooking appliances are not worth really saving. However, I was surprised to find the booklet inside these accessories offered up a number of recipes and ideas that merit looking at.Overall, I can recommend this. It serves its purpose. I’ll reserve final judgment as to how well and conveniently until after more uses.

  3. The Rack is nice but. What I like: The polycarbonate container is nice and lightweight. For me, that’s a huge plus but if it’s mishandled, it could easily crack – so a big ding in my rating comes from that. And the neoprene sleeve is great because if I want to peek in, I can draw that down and pull it back up easily. It slides off easily for cleaning and goes right back on before I put it back in the cabinet. And the rack stores neatly right inside the container – couldn’t be better! What I’ve learned: After using this several times, I’ve decided that the rack (which was the biggest draw for me!) – needs to be assembled *and loaded* OUTSIDE of the water then dropped in. We were letting it sit in the water, without the rods across the top, while the water heated and then when it came time to put the bags of whatever food we were cooking in, we realized the water was too hot to work with putting the rods on the top to keep the bags from floating up.Having said that, we do like this – mostly – though I do wish I’d gotten a slightly larger container but there are only a handful of times when I’d use a larger container so in that case I’ll go back to using my large stockpot.Final thought: Like many things today, I think they’re overcharging for this. I think a fair price would be $40 not $53 (the current price). But I couldn’t find anything comparable locally (though I do think these will start showing up in WalMart and Targets – just have to keep an eye out) and since it was my husband’s Christmas present, time got down to the wire and I pulled the trigger here at Amazon. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out in case this one breaks!

  4. Great kit for sous vide. Great container, and kit, for sous vide! I’ve now used this about a dozen times, and not had any issues with it.The container is a “normal” plastic container, it seems like it will hold up for quite a while. The neoprene cover does seem to allow the water to get to temp and stay there without issue. I honestly have no data that tells me this, but it feels good to have it there! The metal rack that they gave has worked well so far to help keep items submerged and separated. Honestly something I didn’t realize I needed until I got this. Now I can package items individually and keep the water flowing around all of the food. The only down side is that the neoprene cover does have a normal smell for neoprene for about a week and a half. Just let it sit out in the open and the odor goes away. It of course does not impact the flavor or anything as it’s on the outside of the container! While I got this deal on a prime day special, it’s a good kit that gives you what you need to get started…

  5. Práctico, portable, compatible con ANOVA. Es compatible con los equipos ANOVA, y las rejillas para colocar las carnes al vacío están muy bien hechas y dsitribuidas.

Great Product. Works great. We already had the sous vide, but purchased the container and sleeve. Fits perfect.

  7. Excellent Choice for Sous Vide. Right out of the box, I knew that this would work. My first experience with my sous vide was cooking ribs, and I used a large stock pot without a lid. After research on Amazon, I found this item which included the insulator and a rack. As soon as it arrived, I assembled it and saw that it would not only be efficient to use, but it would provide better heating so that the sous vide does not have to heat constantly. I believe this item will enhance my cooking ability with the sous vide, as well as provide efficient easy cleanup. It uses little space and fits nicely on the corner of my stove. Highly recommend this item for the beginner, like me, or even a seasoned person who knows what they’re doing with the sous vide.

  8. Nice container for sous vide. I like this container for sous vide cooking. It’s plenty large enough for cooking several steaks at once and the insulating sleeve helps to conserve power. The notch in the lid fit my 1100w Joule Sous Vide Cooker cooker just fine. The rack is ok, I haven’t needed it but it’s nice to have one just in case and this one should work. There are nicer racks out there but for the price of this kit I have zero complaints. I think this kit is a great value all around and I’d recommend it if you’re in the market for a dedicated sous vide container.

Awesome. Exactly what I needed and well made. Sturdy with a good design

  12. Just right for my Anova sous vide circulator. I use this with a regular Anova sous vide circulator and it’s great. I fill it with distilled water, and if I use the cover both while cooking and when not cooking, I can use the same water (just adding more as needed) 3-4 times before changing it. It can be cumbersome to empty the container for cleaning so it’s nice not to have to do that every time, not to mention wasting less water. I wouldn’t recommend that with tap water unless your tap water is really soft or you’ll get bad scale buildup on both this product and your sous vide. No bueno. I’ve had this tub and accessories for close to a year now and all have held up really well. Absolutely no complaints and this is a GREAT value for the price.

  13. Nice Container. Bought this along with the heater. Has a wire cage to lay the meat in to separate. Also a cover that insulates the water.

  14. Good Quality. The plastic is heavy duty. It comes with a nice cover but I haven’t used it yet. Has lots of racks. Not sure how to use all of them. I have used the container twice and it worked very well. I would buy this again.

  16. Sous vide. Such a different experience using a sous video! Works great!

  17. Convenient. Lots of water. But perfectly prepared. Heated water very fast

  18. I love it. I bought this after owning a cooker/circulator wand for quite awhile. It’s a smaller sized tub. It’s perfect for us because we don’t have a large family.Still, it took two plus gallons of water to fill past the wand’s minimum line. I like the little rack that’s included. It keeps the bags of food separated and in the vertical position so their surfaces get maximum exposure to the water. The sleeve that comes with the tub is nice. It keeps it insulated and also keeps some heat buildup off my countertop. The top slides off so you can tilt it before it’s completely removed to pour the condensation back into the tub instead of getting water all over your counter.I recommend this to you if you’re just getting started with sous vide or just want to sous vide small batches of food.

  19. Good Value. The product worked well and, with the lining, maintained the set temperature

  20. Sous Vide Must Have. This is a great cooking vessel for a sous vide cooker – with an insulated sleeve and versatile rack for your bags, this device makes the best use of space for what it is.
