Maverick Dallas 8 month Ridgeback brothers Love Insist Wet side dish with separate Dry Diet. My two boys Maverick Dallas 8 month Ridgeback brothers Love & as they grew a few months began to Insist on a Wet side dish with a separate bowl of Dry Diet. My boys love this particular Science Diet wet food and will not eat at all or eat minimal unless then get their tasty wet food I picked here. I picked it for good puppy growth with taste, balanced protein and fiber. The wet food is like a treat to them that I normally give only at my dinner time and so they eat dinner with me. I typically give them as pups 1/2 can each pup daily. This adds something they look forward too each day. The boys told me that that they were tired of just the quality dry food that I fed them from 4 month (I could hold one pup in each hand a very brief period) to about 8 months approximately 60 lbs. They will be something over 100 Lb at adult.I still feed the boys dry food also but changed to a different premium dry food made for large breed pups in separate bowl. I have always kept their dry food bowl filled for them to eat when they like. Each pup has their own unique personality and they eat when and how they want and they do not over eat. This way I give them both a great diet, and are never hungry or waiting for food and do not over eat as there is never a pressure to eat the dry at a particular time because the dry food bowl is always filled. They love me for taking care of them as I do with my tender loving care. I use food as one way to keep them happy and healthy and good for bonding. I did not expect to write this much but I love my two boys and this is not even complete on ways I take care of them with lots of love. They come to me when I call because they love me.I have discussed ways and types of food with my vets. I think pups and types of breed are all unique.
Like Hill Science Diet products…but. Was not too thrilled with last case of Hills Chicken Barley puppy food I purchased. The food was dry & flaky like it had been sitting around too long. This is obviously not the fault of the manufacturer but more, I would guess, sitting too long in a warehouse. If the next case I order is the same, I will purchase elsewhere.
A Healthy dependable starter pup food. This blend tends to be dry. Everyone recommended it, but unanimously advised to add chicken broth to the mix. It is nutrient rich and hearty food. My one complaint is that it only comes in one favor for puppy food. After weeks of feeding the same food I found my pup was getting bored of it, leaving portions uneaten. It is not inexpensive either. I started adding fresh elements; peas n carrots, small diced sweet potatoes and added protein, chicken, shredded cheese, salmon bits bacon pieces, etc. just to excite get Pallet. But for a mainstream food this is the GOLD standard.
Cans dented up. Each can was dented up but the dog food was still good
Keeps my dogs happy 😊. My dogs loved it though it’s a bit pricey Still worth every penny to keep my dogs happy .
My Dogs will eat their meals. Maltese dogs are the “Pickiest” eaters!!! I have tried a lot of different dog/puppy foods. My Maltese stopped eating after my senior boys pasted away (less than 6 months apart) I tried Spot & Tango, Farmers Dog, Honest Kitchen, I can go on and on. Over $400 of trying to find something she would eat. I am so glad I tried this, she loves the Chicken
Very chunky and gravy like …. My Goldendoodle has been on Hills Science dry food since birth, so I decided to stick with this brand when I started adding wet food. This particular one is his favorite of the Hills Science variety. More like the true consistency of a beef stew.
My dogs love this food. Even the old dog want to eat this only
Recommended bt Vet exspensive but our dog is worth it. I liked it is easy to open and helps regulate stools.
Last case a disappointment. The media could not be loaded. Normally, I love this food for my puppy, and she loves it too. The thick gravy like consistency along with the chunks of meat are much better than chopped up dog food. BUT, the last case I received, and I am on a subscription plan for this, has been a total disappointment. At least 3 cans that I’ve opened so far have been about half full. The fourth one was only missing a little bit. This makes me mad because this dog food is not cheap. This company is either starting to skimp big time or a filling machine is off. You can bet I’m gonna call the company and let them know. But overall, I really like this food for my dog.
