  1. Not sure if it worked, but my cat LOVES it. Long story short, my cats gets so stressed from traveling that she gives herself UTIs (WTF nature?). I bought this for her to mitigate that, along with an oral urinary heath supplement. She LOVES this food. I used to leave dry food out for her 24/7, but I can’t do that with this food because she’ll eat the whole thing at once. Her urinary issues did clear up, but it’s hard to tell if it was because of this food or just good ole time. Here are my tips if your cat is having urinary issues:1. If it’s a one-off incident, investigate why it happened! If it’s stress-related, which is common, address that first. When traveling, cover the carrier with a blanket to avoid sensory overload.Try spraying the carrier with a pheromone spray like Feliway, which allegedly calms cats. You can even try a pheromone scent plug-in if you want. When kitty is in a new place, isolate them in a room where they can unwind without being disturbed. Google has plenty of resources for how to reduce stress in cats!2. WATER WATER WATER! Entice you cat to drink water. Cats dislike water sources near their food, so try placing another water bowl away from the feeding area. (This is a natural instinct, as water sources near food / meat in the wild are often contaminated). Give fresh water every day. Try a water fountain. (Again, instinct – in the wild, running water is less likely to be contaminated than stagnant water).3. Wet food! This kibble is okay, but cats with UTIs NEED wet food! They often don’t drink enough water on their own, so incorporating it in their wet food is the best solution. And use a quality wet food – with the nutrients they need, avoiding ash and fillers. Fun fact, CATS DONT NEED ANY CARBS OR VEGGIES! Their food should be all protein and fat – any diced carrots and peas are to make YOU feel better, not the cat.Experiment with adding extra water to the wet food! (Some cats like it, some do not). Maximize your cat’s water intake as much as possible. But I wouldn’t suggest adding water to dry food. It gets pretty gross, like soggy cereal.4. Consider an oral supplement. I tried a liquid supplement available on Amazon. My cat avoided her food when I added the liquid, so I administered it directly. To ‘force feed’ a cat, you just quickly pop the supplement in the throat (not the mouth, where they can spit it out). I prop my kitty’s mouth open with one hand and administered the liquid with the other (but I have a very patient, tolerant cat).5. Keep that litter CLEAN! It’s likely your frustrated cat will be peeing often, and possibly peeing outside the litter box. Mitigate this by keeping the litter pristine and possibly adding another little box. There’s also a product called “Cat Attract” that allegedly attracts cats to their litter, though I’ve never used it personally.6. Finally, track their potty behaviors as much as possible. If urinary issues persist, especially in male cats where they can get total urethral blockages and actually die, go to the vet. Have a log of all the times your cat visited the litter box the day before. Note how much they pee, if it’s discolored, etc.To anyone who ended up on this page because their cat is having pee-pee problems, good luck! Just stick with it. <3

  2. Good For Urinary & Stomach issues. Update: 8/5/24 unfortunately I went off this brand. Only because the bites are too big for my 7 year old cat. My 13 year old cat died in February of Kidney disease. I regret not sticking with all urinary food, including wet food. Please if your cat has kidney issues. Keep your cat totally on urinary cat food. Wet or dry. Even though I switched dry food to Iam’s, I do plan to buy Hills Science diet urinary wet food. If your cat is a male. Definitely stick with urinary cat food. I lost two cats to kidney disease.I really like Hills Science diet cat food. As I have been giving this to my cats for over a few years, along with Fancy feast petite wet food.I had concerns for my cat b/c his brother died of kidney failure. Meanwhile he was having gastric issues that he was at the vet three times for constipation. Since I put him on this Urinary & hairball cat food, along with wet cat food, the constipation stopped. Plus no more throwing up hair balls.I wish these kibbles were smaller bites, as my almost 13 year old cat has trouble chewing these. So that’s why I gave this 4 stars. Also even though I have previously purchased off here, however I refused to give $50+ from these sellers, when I can go pay $32 elsewhere. I am furious Amazon allowing them sellers to price gouge the consumer, with inflation the way it is. So I won’t be buying on here, until the price drops to what tractor supply & Chewy sell’s it for! Which is at least $20 less.

  3. For my Male Cat with Urinary Crystals. This is the first cat food I got when my cat started having crystals in his urine and having issues. Switched to this as a recommendation that worked and had good ingredients, he loves it and it resolved his urinary issues with an addition of the Tikki Cat broth toppers occasionally. Going to be buying regularly.

Urinary Tract Infection. Several years ago our kitty had several urinary infections. The vet suggested we switch cat food brands to Hills Science Diet avoiding the high acidity found in other brand food. Today she has been free from urinary infections for several years.

Better than Purina. So I’ve been using Purina formula for uti and hairball for 13 years what ive always done is a mixture of that and blue Buffalo. I ran out of cat food so instead switched to a 50/50 blend of this science hill and blue buffalo to see if it would be better. I had previously tried a few times using royal canin with blue Buffalo mix which didn’t give me any better results at all and was so much more costly. The hills is around twice as much as Purina but I found this to be the absolute best one. Fully deserving of the added cost. I’ve used this for the past 2 months and have noticed notable changes with my cat. He just seems healthier. I cab absolutely tell the difference within only 4 days and after 2 months I can honestly say this brand is a lot better than Purina. The Purina brand for uti food does work and it’s not bad. But this one is just simply better. I believe because the ingredients are much healthier. And there was no transition issues at all it was actually the opposite of that he immediately inproved. I totally recommend this hands down. For me it’s a no brainer to spend the little bit extra money to have a lot better product. Will help the cat live healthier life without trips to the vet worried why the cat isn’t feeling good.

  6. the only food my cats eat. after one of my cats went through ugly surgery with his urinary system, this is the only food I am giving to my cats, this brand specifically, so far no issues and cats like it better than wet food

  7. Asthmatic Cat Owners NEED this. I don’t normally write reviews, but I had to come here to say that after countless (very expensive) vet visits for my 11yr old asthmatic cat who would experience constant wheezing/coughing attacks 4-7 times/day, this food has resolved his issues within 3 weeks. I had tried everything and didn’t know what else to do. He has always been on prescription urinary food due to a previous bladder stone surgery, so I had never deviated from what the vet told me to do. My second cat is a young rescue from the streets and has a long coat. They are both on the same feeding schedule (very hard for me to separate their diets due to working long days). Her coat is SO SOFT now! I went out on a limb and ordered this food for both of them and will be a forever customer!

  8. Great product. This kind is very good for my cat but she doesn’t like it too much because the pellets are softer. I had to order the other Hill’s science for sensitive stomach because she likes that one better.

  9. Best stuff ever. My Adele has crystal that form and she was just a baby at the time . I gave her prescription food she would puke every where. Come to find out she had to have a special blend. I had given wysong with Purina urinary foods that worked for a little while. Then I went back to a non prescription hills science urinary. Best thing ever. Her wet meats are delects for ten year old. It helps rehydrated her when she she gets to much fluid out from food. To help I also give hill science 7+ and now Purina vitale.wet meats. They are doing good. My Casper has cardiomyopathy and she has to eat the same things to keep fluid off and to rehydrate when to much fluid is taken. Haven’t had to use pills yet. Thank God. My cat was was born in 2019 and the other was born in 2020. Adele is five and my Casper is four. They’re doing good for now. Thanks so much

  10. Good product. Healthy food for my fur babies

  11. Wonderful! Repeat order. Repeat order for 2 or 3 years. So far, there haven’t been problems with any of my orders. Price is good, and my cat is satisfied for less calories. My cat’s weight is lower when I feed her this food.

  12. Science Diet. I switched to this food years ago to help prevent hairballs and keep crystals forming in their urinary tract. It is the only food my cats will eat. It does a good job preventing both, but regular brushing is still required to prevent hairballs.

  13. Good. Healthy

  14. Perfect. A little more pricey, but worth it in managing hairballs for Maine Coons and Himalayans.

  15. Given as a treat. The media could not be loaded. One of the boys in my Tuxedo mafia has kidney damage from an unknown source. Ruger and Benelli are only six months old and still require kitten food according to the veterinarian. I started giving this to them as a treat. Both boys gobble it up! Momma Mila not so much. She is ghetto fabulous and has a particular palate. I have seen a decrease in “accidents”. I could have added a video them eating but the proof is in their playfulness!

  16. Kitty loves it. Healthy. Good price. Came fast. Digestible and kitty loves them. Eaten them for years.

  17. Rafi-approved. My cat is a picky eater, but he loves this product.

Science-Diet is the best dry food on the market. This dry cat food is PERFECT for the cat that won’t scarf n barf if the kibble size is too big to stuff themselves! The bags are well built/store well. Our cat went from eating mouths full of kibble to having to actually take her time to chew the larger kibble. Our family has been using this brand for years after it was recommended to us by our local vet.

  19. It works for my cats. I am happy with this food, my cats have been eating this food without any problems for some time now…
