The only food our adopted stray can eat. Last fall, as winter started coming on early, we adopted Oscar, a yellow tabby stray that was hanging around the house. As we live on a very busy road, we worried both about the cold Michigan winter coming on earlier than normal and the dangers of him crossing the road. Unfortunately, he came with a bit of a problem – he could drive you out of the house when he used the litter box! The odor was unbearable, and his deposits in the litterbox were much less than solid – I was sent running for the scoop and a bag to scoop the box immediately upon him using it at least twice a day. I took him to the vet, of course, to be neutered and checked over before we brought him inside permanently, and had him tested for worms, Coccidia, Giardia and any other intestinal parasites or infections that might cause the odor and litterbox issues – all tests were negative. The vet suggested we change his food (we were feeding him Solid Gold dry, not a cheap food) to Hill’s Science Diet Adult Sensitive Stomach. I was doubtful it was the food, but to my surprise, it was! Within 4 days of changing the food over gradually until we were feeding him all Hill’s, his stomach adjusted and the problems completely stopped. His deposits in the litter box are now of a normal, solid shape and have very little odor. (I mean, it is what it is, there’s going to be SOME odor, but it’s minimal compared to what it was before!) As a bonus, his dry, brittle coat is now soft and silky – probably more due to the fact that he’s getting regular nutritious food than anything else (he WAS a stray, so was eating whatever he could find).I’m sold on it – that’s all he’ll eat from now on. Yes, it’s more expensive than your average supermarket brand food, but you get what you pay for. If you want a healthy cat, you have to be willing to provide a good quality food.

  2. My cats love it. I have 2 cats, both nearly a year old. I had been feeding them the Hills Science Diet Indoor Kitten chicken flavor dry food since the day I adopted them. One of my cats has a very sensitive stomach and after her most recent vomiting spree, I had to look for other food options for her sensitive stomach. I did some research online and read reviews from other people about the Hills Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and Skin and decided to give it a try.My cats both immediately loved it! I noticed they would actually pick out the new kibble over their old kitten kibble, so the transition to the sensitive stomach food went way more smoothly and quickly than I had expected. It has been nearly a month since I swapped them over to the Sensitive Stomach and Skin formula dry food, and my sensitive cat has not had any vomiting or tummy issues.I got the chicken flavor bag because my cats prefer chicken, but I did notice there is also a seafood flavor available (in case your kitty prefers seafood). The food is a bit pricey but I feel that the quality of the food, and because my cats love it, makes it worth the money. The bigger bag costs a couple dollars less per pound than the smaller bag, so I put the big bag on my Amazon subscription list.I included a photo with my review to help provide a visual comparison of the kibble. The left side is what I was feeding my cats previously (Hills Science Diet Indoor Kitten) and the right side is the Hills Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and Skin dry food.

  5. Shockingly good results. A friend recommended this food. I wish I had started my two boys on it a long time ago. We usually feed them a Costco brand of food. We mix this food with the Costco food half/half. Almost immediately, we noticed the litter pan rarely stinks after they poop. Which was shocking. The other good thing we noticed is our youngest cat has almost quit farting. Since he was a tiny kitten, his farts would clear the room. That rarely happens now. Also the older one rarely vomits now. And they love the taste! They took to it right away. It’s somewhat soft in texture. I feel really good about giving them this food.

Healthy food for skin and stomach care. This is my favorite brand of food for my sensitive skinned kitty. She can be picky and not a big fan of the healthier catfood brands, yet this Hills Science Diet Chicken and Rice formal for sensitivity has her begging for her breakfast every morning and keeps her body running regular.

  7. Quality for my peace of mind; tasty for them. I prefer this brand, Science Diet, because I know it’s quality food. Not the crummy stuff you find at the grocery store. I buy this flavor because it’s the cats favorite. I haven’t noticed a difference with their skin or the amount of hairballs since we switched but I do know they enjoy it which makes me happy. Also, my two love the size of this kibble compared to some of the other ScienceDiet options. This kibble is small and bite-sized so the cats don’t fight with it like they do some larger cat foods.Even the stray cat I’ve been feeding and trying to catch loves it!Good food. Wish it was cheaper but gotta do whats best for the cats. (:

  8. Pooh doesn’t smell!! Yay. I started using this due to the fact that when I picked her up from a stay at the vet…..her pooh was undetectable! Sooo this is what she has been on for more than a year! Never litterbox smell!

  9. Works well for itchy cat. I was in search for something, anything to relieve my cat and her crazy itching. She scratched herself bloody and bald in some areas. I had her on the instinct brand of cat food. I first switched from Hills science diet when I got her home from the ASPCA . And every 6 weeks or so, I noticed a new bald spot. This went on for a while and I started searching for supplements and was not successful, she wouldn’t eat it. Then I finally i figured it was the food and decided to switch her back to Hills. I came across this healthy skin food and thought why not and it works! I haven’t seen not one bald spot since I switched her and she loves the chicken flavor. I even get her the wet food. It’s all expensive but worth it.

  10. Good for kitty tummies. My cat was getting sick and losing weight eating a more expensive “premium” food. The vet suggested trying a “sensitive stomach” food. Since switching, my kitty has regained her weight and has not been getting sick. She likes the taste of this food – I know, because she picks any other kibble out of her bowl and leaves it on the floor. Her coat is also very soft and shiny.

  11. Highly recommend. She loves the chicken and rice flavor, and I’ve noticed fewer digestive issues. The dry food is easy for her to chew, and she seems healthier overall.

  13. My cats love this food. I have 4 cats and one has a skin issue. I looked up different food brands and I gave this one a try. All of my cats love it. Her skin issue has gotten a lot better.

  14. Great cat food. Cats coats feel super soft and silky and they seem to like it.

  15. Katt’s Food. Katt loves her food, excellent Cat Food!
