Turned My Boston Into Godzilla. I have a 14-1/2 year old Boston Terrier who has been my faithful sidekick and companion since he was 8 weeks old. His whole life we have fed him Purina wet dog food and lots of treats – but mostly the lower cost treats. He seemed to like them well enough, so I thought we were doing the right thing. Then one day in late 2017 I saw these jerky strips treats, and even though they were much more expensive that the ones we normally buy, I figured my little guy is getting old and deserves some extra “spoiling”. What started with him relatively calmly taking these from my hand has warped into my little guy turning into a hungry beast ready to rip my arms and face off in order to get the treat faster! It is adorable, and I’m sure you won’t be surprised to hear that we now buy every single variation of these and no longer waste time or money on the “cheapies”. Cute story to demonstrate just how much my little guy loves these…My hubby and I have never had a problem leaving our pooch at home alone for short or long periods. He is litter trained and pretty much takes care of himself. All that changed a couple of months ago when we arrived home to find an empty bag of these, with the front of the plastic bag looking like it was ripped open by Godzilla himself. Apparently our little dude loves these so much that he can no longer be trusted at home by himself unless we put all of these in a high-up cupboard! Anyway, I love it that my little beast loves these so much and we will no doubt keep a constant supply at home so that he never runs out again. After all, if I run out, who knows if he will go ahead and rip my arms and face off in revenge! LOL
My Yorkie enjoys these snacks, especially if I break them into small pieces. I got these treats with a credit I had for buying a dog treat and food sampler box. I had no idea if my picky Yorkie would like them but I hoped she would. These are the only treats I bought her from Hills Science that she likes. They are small square treats about the size of a Triscuit cracker that are semi chewy. Molly prefers that I break them up into little pieces but she doesn’t have problems chewing the whole ones. She is just spoiled. The ingredients look decent and my dog enjoys these so I will repurchase. I will not be buying other treats from the brand because, even though many say they are chewy or soft, they are actually very hard. These are not soft but they they would be considered chewy.
human grade? no. puppy approved? yes. Let’s be honest here. This is not an artisanal strip of dehydrated grade a meat. This is very clearly some sort of extruded meat product shaped into the vague form of jerky. It smells a little suspect and it’s definitely dry and chewy, but we have no problems breaking it into halves or even fourths to feed our two tiny dogs. It does not have that tough, stringy meat texture that would make it hard to break up or chew. It’s more like a uniform, dried, thin slice of ground meat. I can definitely see how bigger dogs would just inhale this in a second, but it’s perfect for our 5-15 pound dogs.They love both the beef and chicken flavor. The biggest thing is one of our dogs is a senior who has a really sensitive stomach, and these are one of the few types of treats that don’t give her uncomfortable gas or a stomachache. Her teeth are not the greatest and she has no problem chewing these up slowly and enjoying them. Two paws up!
Somebody will fall down the rotten deck if they keep delivering to the front door. I can evaluate the quality of ingredients, buy flavor…. well, by the way my dog wiggle his tail, and how quickly he devour them, I guess the flavor is as good as the ingredients 😀

Watch your fingers. My fur-babies absolutely love these treats. There’s no question about the taste; both of my babies are bougie and particular about what they eat, and they pretty much snatch these out of my hand. I feel like I should count my fingers when giving them out. They smell them as soon as I open the bag and go completely haywire. Sometimes, I can’t get them to pay attention, and other times, they’re completely focused, depending on the time of day I give them. They get 2 treats a day, so I have to decide the best time to give them.These treats are just perfect—neither too hard nor too soft. They have good ingredients, and even my vet sells them, so I trust them. The brand is well known for its quality. All in all, I’d definitely recommend them. I can barely keep them in stock.
Echoe’s favorite treat. I have a 4 year old pit bull who I have this on subscription for every month! She loves when I have them, and they, unlike other treats, take her more than 10 seconds to eat. I like to give her things that are more natural, and she does love the taste. Plus, I feel that this is a great value. It is a good amount for the price. Echoe gives it 2 paws up.
