Me gusta mucho concinar, pero detesto picar cebolla (me hace llorar, tiro por viaje).Cuando vi esto en Amazon… y a este precio… simplemente tuve que pedirlo. ¡Una excelente decisión!Es pequeño y fácil de usar. Pero, quizá lo más importante: ¡es facilísimo de lavar! Smiplemente quitar la tapa, la cuchilla, y la base, lavar con cuidado, secar, y guardar. Ahorra mucho tiempo picando las cosas, y me gusta mucho cómo deja los cortes.Por supuesto, hay que saber utilizarlo. No se deja apretado consntatemente, porque haría un licuado. Más bien: se le dan pequeños “toques” (yo diría que de medio segundo cada uno) y se va midiendo cómo va el proceso de picado… y se le dan más toques (según sea necesario) hasta que quede justo como quieres.Ahora, picar cebolla es tan fácil como partir una cebolla en octavos, echarlos al chopper, y listo.Ya solo falta ver cuánto tiempo dura… pero, por el precio… vale la pena intentarlo.

A good blender. I gave 5 stars on blending power and easy to use & clean. Main reason for purchase has been chopping onions. However the advertised photo of chopped onions I am afraid would be difficult to replicate in reality. The result cannot come even close in comparison to the Vidalia Chop Wizard I have had for over 20 years and still working. The onions came out uneven, almost mush with a few chunks still in – not a good look to add to salads, etc. Regardless it will serve as a useful blender for small quantities. For larger quantities you need a larger capacity blender, otherwise it would be a veritable chore to empty and fill every minute or so. Therefore 4-star review.

Finally! A small food processor that can do the job. I’ve gone through a couple of the small Walmart electric “choppers” and have found that they don’t last long, are slightly too small and dull easily. This chopper and food processor handles all my needs with ease. The slightly larger capacity container (3-cups) allows a single batch of processing instead of having to do two batches – while maintaining the small footprint of a handy small countertop device. The container doesn’t require twisting to hook onto the base or initiate the motor. The top also doesn’t require any twisting and just sits on top. Press the top down and the motor starts. SOOO much easier to use than other small models and a very powerful motor to boot. I use it to make humus, rough cut carrots, fine cut onions other vegetables for my spaghetti sauce and other recipes. I highly recommend this product to all of you out there who need something simple and powerful to get the job done without having to pull out the big beast. Enjoy!

Decent initial value overall. Note: This is an initial product review after one week of limited and mild use only. I use the machine no more than 45 seconds overall during each use and use it 5 to 7 times a week. I use this product only to blend minced/chunck wet cat food into a patte consistency. This initial review was posted on 28 April 2024. I will follow up with a long-term review, if anything changes.PERFORMANCEPositives:- relatively quiet compared to my old Protor Silex mini food processor- safety feature is intuitive making it faster to start blending compared to my old Proctor Silex- does a good job of mincing and blending chunks of meat.- hand clean up is very easy. I quick rinse the blending compartment, the blade and the top/cover with hot sink water, spray everything with soap and then fill with hot sink water to the top, close the cover/lid & let it sit for a little while in the sink. When I have the time again, I empty the soapy water, rinse everything out and set aside to dry.Negatives- The gap between the low and the high blade is big enough so that anything under 4 oz will not mince or blend evenly. Even after stopping and pushing the food down, 3 different time in-between the blending, chunks of meat still remained unblended. The 5.5 oz can wet cat food blends perfectly in about 20 or so seconds.BUILD QUALITY- After using it in a limited and mild capacity for only a week, the initial impression is that the motor is strong, but overall the unit feels light, plasticky and on the cheaper side. The proctor silex unit felt a sturdier & better built than this. I hope though that this unit lasts longer than my proctor silex unit, which lasted only 8 months of mild use before it died. 30-45 second use, 1 time a day, 5 to 7 days a week.

Be it chopping/dicing the vegetables into tiny bits or processing the food to a smooth consistency it can do it all either by pulsating or blending it. The blade is thin and super sharp too.We have been using it for several things since we got it a month or so ago and have made several dishes such as Guacamole, Sauces, diced veggies(onions, peppers, carrots), Indian chutneys with nuts and veggies aka Roti Pachadi etc.It’s a simple setup of base motor, blade and a lid with a pulsating ON/OFF button; that’s it. To clean it I just use a silicon spatula to get all the contents out, then you just need to rinse the blade and the container under tap, apply some warm soapy water and rinse it again….it’s that simple. The container, blade and the lid are not dish washer safe as they are pretty light weight.Overall, a great value simple vegetable chopper and processor that works like a champ.########Update October 8th, 2024 ############This has become our go to blender/chopper for all our chopping needs unless we need it a certain way especially for onions, peppers, garlic, cilantro, mint etc. We even threw some chunks of chicken breast, salt, jalapenos, few garlic cloves, onions, cilantro, cumin and coriander powder and gave it a spin for few seconds and this beast was able to mince everything together perfectly without any problem to make some yummy chicken patties…way to go Hamilton Beach!!!

Very easy to use. This mini chopper is very easy to use, almost too easy. Wouldn’t let a little kid use it, but then again I wouldn’t let a little kid use any appliance with fast moving blades. It chops great, only issue is you have to scrape the walls down couple times, but that would be with any chopper. if you’re chopping a lot for a party or family gathering, this really saves time and does a good job.

This little chopper works like a big boy. For the money, it’s t absolutely worthy for the money. The chopper chops so fast that you no more than push the button, it’s done. Its power works like a bigger chopper. And FAST! It’s durable and easy to assembly and easy to clean.

Scarey powerful. ** Updating 1/5/24:after additional use, I’m increasing by 1 star. Today, I used to make hummus. It turned out more like a thick paste. The chickpeas were fully pulverized. Going forward, rather than mixing all the ingredients in the chopper , and rechopping as i adjusted the liquid and seasonings, I plan to chop the chickpeas to the desired consistency, and then transfer to a mixing bowl to add the remaining ingredients.Worked mice for graham cracker crumbs. If nothing else I can use it for that purpose. The crumbs were superfine, but I’m OK with that. It was much easier than trying to crush with a bag and rolling pin.Third test was nuts. I added a cup of macadamia nuts to the chopper bowl, and what felt like 3 seconds later, they too were the same fine crumbs as the graham crackers. Next I tried pecans which were already chopped but I wanted them to be chipped. This time I only pushed the lid for one second if that much. Wasn’t enough time to chop all I added, but they seemed slightly more like the size I wanted.I believe the lesson is to do short bursts, not fill too full, and remove as you reach desired consistency. Hope that helps.Original review :I was hoping for something less risky. This is extremely fast and the blade is quite sharp. When I first tested I thought I was supposed to push the button with an off on icon, however I couldn’t get it to turn off so I had to unplug to get it to stop. It felt like the lid was going to fly off and wondered if the blade could fly out too.I tried pulsing by just touching the lid and it did stop when I lifted my hand, but again lid was rattling around. I can’t imagine this chopping vegetables with pureeing them, but seems like it could be useful for other items.Unfortunately I purchased with the intention of chopping veggies due to lots of problems with my hand.I’m going to try watching how to videos to see if I am doing something wrong before I decide if it’s safe to keep or if I’ll return. I tend to be clutzy in the kitchen so this may be fine for others.

A little bundle of chop chop energy. This little food processor, which holds more than you might think, is easy to use, easy to clean, and has a lot of power. (Careful how much pressure you put on your veggies or you can wind up with mush!) Does a great job of mincing and dicing! Great product!

There are very good reasons why this appliance is on Amazon’s Choice list. All around wonderfully designed and very nicely made, i do not know where to begin in describing how practical and useful this appliance would be. It is home kitchen size, not large, and although it is described as having a 3-cup chopping bowl, in practice this chopper was actually designed to chop up to 1 1/2-cups of carrots or onions, etc., carrots sliced into about 1-inch lengths or onions sliced into about 1-inch cubes, for instance, which makes sense because the chopping process inside this appliance needs to have enough overhead free space to flip and overturn what is being chopped in order to regulate the uniformity of the chopping, to not produce a mixture of both finely minced and uncut carrots or onions, etc., and its operator’s instruction page includes some useful tips on how to use this chopper. This chopper is about all of what a single person, a couple or a small family could need and if you hit the limit of what a single 1 1/2-cup chopping can produce, then simply cut up some more, put it in the chopper and produce more, in other words it is possible for this chopper to satisfy you, you two, you few, you several and more. It is said fruits and veggies are more nutritious when eaten raw, uncooked, but who wants to chew on chunks of raw carrots or raw onions in their salad? But now, this chopper can reduce those chunks into tasty little, easy to chew, flavorful tidbits. And for those who appreciate what a Chinese wok can do, cook your rice in the wok then put the cooked rice into a bowl at the side of the stove, then cook or sauté your fruits, meats, veggies, or whatever, before putting the rice back into the hot wok along with just enough cooking oil to make everything just a little bit slick and slippery, then, at the last minute, once everything has been cooked, flipped over and mixed up, this is the time to add additional flavorings, seasonings and spices, including finely chopped onion, etc., before giving everything in the wok a quick, mix it up, final flip-over. That same method can successfully be used in any Eastern or Western cookpan or cookpot but Chinese wok design is particularly good at that. Lodge of Tennessee, USA, makes cast iron woks, 12-inch useful, 14-inch even better. Cast iron and carbon steel woks break-in or season in about the same way, scrub them clean in kitchen sink water, but use NO soap or detergent, then put them on a low heat stove to thoroughly dry them, and when cooled down lightly coat their insides with cooking oil. Anyway, this little chopper is very useful, much better and easier than doing such fine slicing by hand, recommended!

Handy chopper. This is really handy for chopping vegetables and making sauces. Well worth the money! I really like mine. Durable, has a lot of power, no leakage, and easy to clean!!!
