  1. Well made, minor issue was quickly resolved. I purchased the Dino Bruto Dog toy for my labradoodle who is quite fond of squeaky, squawky stuffed toys and oddly enough has shown a preference for purple. I opened the package with my hound standing by waiting for his gift. I detached the tags and attempted to squeak the toy. It seemed difficult to squeak or honk. I tossed the purple Dino Bruto to my dog who excitedly chomped to squeak. The toy squawked a couple times and then just quit. My poor hound was staring up at me with that “what’s up with this” look on his face. I tracked down the website for the GoDog toys, not going through the Amazon return process. I called the good people at GoDog and stated simply that my dog’s favorite part of the toy failed quite quickly and I was wondering about guarantees. I was told to go to the website and file a replacement request. The replacement request required that I include a photo which I did as directed. I received an reply email within a couple hours which stated that a new toy would be sent out shortly.I am happy to report that we received a replacement toy, not the purple Dino, but a colorful wood duck. The squawker device works well and is still performing like new more than a month later. It appears that the squeaker is not those little plastic squeakers but the bigger heavy plastic bag, bladder, with what I visualize as a duck call sort of sound device. I am guessing because I haven’t seen the inside of the GoDog toys. I have seen the guts of other stuffed toys which use this type of noise device. While our dog seems to enjoy the sound of the plastic bag, bladder set-up squawkers, they seem to fail quickly and I tend to avoid them because of this. The toys using this type of squawker that I have seen, use what looks like a cheap lightweight plastic bag which is not securely attached to the “voice box”.Since the GoDog replacement toy is holding up so well, I am guessing GoDog uses a heavier grade plastic bladder coupled with reinforced construction. The purple Dino Bruto toy still looks new even after multiple times of our hound grabbing the purple toy, shaking it at us with his invite to give chase or play keep away. Since the squawker failed so quickly with the new toy, I figure it was just a defective item which does not reflect the general quality of toys from GoDog.One evening our neighbor was visiting while his pitbull was playing in our yard with our dog. Our patio door was open so our dog ran into the house and grabbed his purple Dino Bruto toy. He is a bit of a show-off with new toys. Our dog then went racing back into the yard, shaking his GoDog toy at the pitbull. A quick game of tug-of-war ensued. Since this is a new toy, our neighbor leaped into the game and took the toy away from the dogs. In that short time of tugging between the dogs, the toy held together and did not even pull apart at any of the seams. There were no puncture marks either. This is a game our dog has initiated before with the neighbor pitbull. Normally, the stuffed toys are ripped apart almost immediately. I was surprised and impressed with the quality of the sewing which appears to employ some sort of reinforced construction or heavier material.I plan to make more purchases from GoDog toys. The toys are a little more expensive than some stuffed dogs toys but they hold up so well I figure they are worth a few more dollars. They are great toys that hold up well and the company provides quick responses to inquiries. I consider this a winning combination.

One Tough Gator. Update 3 (They aren’t made like they used to be.): The first ones I brought lasted until my dogs took them outside and I decided to retire them and order two new ones. Despite being dirty they were intact and squeakers still worked. I ordered two new ones for my dogs for Christmas and the squeakers must be made differently now because they died in less than a month. The toy itself is still intact so far I just wish they used the original squeaker that lasted much longer.Update 2: It is now May. My dogs have had these toys since Christmas! They are still alive! One of the squeakers is squished but the dogs still love them. No rips or tears yet even around the tags. I am completely amazed that these have lasted. Well worth the money.Original: I brought two of these as a Christmas gift for my dogs. One is a German Shepherd and the other is a Shepherd Lab mix so they aren’t small dogs. Toys especially soft ones rarely last more than a few minutes in our house. Well this little gator is over two weeks old and still going strong! Even the squeaker still works! My biggest dog, Shadow, loves it. He runs and chews it and drops it infront of us to throw it for him. I highly recommend this toy if your pet is a toy shredder.

  4. Not durable enough for my dog. So, I got my 40 lbs lab mix heavy duty chewer the goDog Gators Squeaker Plush Pet Toy, and let me tell you, it was a total mixed bag. On the one hand, the toy is made of high-quality and safe materials, so I didn’t have to worry about my dog chowing down on any toxic chemicals or anything. Plus, the pink color was super cute and my dog really loved the squeaker feature. But on the other hand, the toy didn’t last very long at all. My pup managed to rip it apart within a week, which was a total bummer. I mean, come on, I thought this toy was supposed to be tough and chew-resistant! So, all in all, I’m giving this toy a 4-star rating. It’s great for dogs who are less aggressive chewers, but if you’ve got a pup who really likes to sink their teeth into their toys, you might want to look for something a bit sturdier. Still, for the price, it’s not a bad option if you’re looking for a cute and fun toy to entertain your furry friend.

  5. Favorite toy. This is the second one I have gotten for my 5lb. Chihuahua. She loves to get the squeakers. She did chew the tail of the other one. I threw it away as I do with all toys that the stuffing starts to come out. She was heartbroken for several days. She slept with the old one before the tail ectomy. She got her new one today. She is thrilled to have her buddy back. This toy looks like it is made pretty well, but just like anything you can get a good batch or a bad batch. Keep your dog’s safety in mind. If the dog loves it and it is safe for them to continue to play with it, then let them.

  6. Tucker loves it. Well, it is difficult to find stuffies that will last more than a few minutes here, but it is still fun to give them 😀. We played tug, hide and find, and then Tucker decided he needed to get the heart out . He had a great time with his new toy!

  7. Good for tough chewers. Overall good toy. Durable material makes it tough for my tough guy to tear the body apart. Would give it 5 stars if the spikes and teeth were also as tough, those didn’t last as long.

  8. Made to last. Excellent soft, chew toy for our 1 year old Golden Retriever. Only stuffed toy that’s lasted….we’ve had it a couple of months and, despite being “well loved,” it’s still very much intact.

Well made, cute, but not great for “shredders”. My reasons for loving this toy: first off, my purchase of the Elephant arrived a day early; secondly, the toy is adorable and very well made. There are 3 “squeakers” in the body. One is a round ball located in the stomach, and two smaller “discs” in each of the feet (at least that is where I presumed them to be) which trigger “PLAY time!” There is also “crackle” in the ears. I felt a little remorse handing over this cutie, but that was the point of purchase; I hoped it would last a while. Our 1yr old GoldLab mix has been known to chew apart a three ring toy that was very hard rubber as well as removing the “hair” of tennis balls, popping and chewing the ball into bits. His toy ropes end up as shreds throughout the house. That said, I wasn’t sure this toy would stand up, but I had hope. Enter the elephant…..adorable! And doomed…he snatched it and happily trotted off to his bed. Within 5min, he had pulled off the tail, and within 10min he had ripped off a foot to reveal one squeaker (seams gave way). By a few hours later, “El” had been thoroughly de-feeted and unarmed, and I recovered the squeakers for my own piece of mind. Now, you might think this a sad/bad review, but it isn’t. I have learned that there is a difference in being a rugged “chewer” and being a neurotic “shredder”. I have no regrets with the purchase nor that it had no chance with our pup; without the squeakers and stuffing, our pup still carries his buddy happily around the house. He likes the crinkle in the ears and hasn’t torn those open (which surprises me). It’s his new friend. I do believe this toy to be a very good investment esp for most “normal” pups…the fabric itself has held up well, good size, cute buddy, and happy fun for a pet. I like it too….in fact, there was a hesitation as to if I wanted to keep it myself. lol PS-I have not contacted the company as I cannot fault the product; some pups are just master shredders. ;D (Photos show Rio’s destructive prowess.)

Dog toy. My dog loves this chicken! It squeaks in severalPlaces, he loved to play tug of war with it . It’s not indestructible he’s a big dog and has torn up 2. He loves it though it’s his favorite.

  12. Sturdy, fun, and did I mention sturdy. We’ve got a young thirty-pound terrier mix who adores these little “gators” – he has both a blue one and a pink one. He plays with them inside, he plays with them outside, he takes them along on rides to play with in the car.No, they aren’t indestructible, but anyone who has a terrier knows how easily toys can be destroyed in a day or even a hour. These are holding up remarkably well – over a month now. Yes, we’ve lost a leg or two on the way, but no, they don’t leak stuffing all over the place simply because a leg has gone missing. Yeah!I haven’t dared to toss one in the washing machine; I don’t want to take a chance on disintegration, but they “spot clean” pretty well. Admittedly we don’t care whether they are pristine-level clean, just as long as they’re not out-and-out nasty. Each has been left out in the rain overnight, unfortunately, but no lasting harm was done. We’ve bought a couple extra of these so that he will always have them to play with, even after the originals finally meet their demise. I HIGHLY recommend giving one a chance, especially when they go on sale.

He loves his little Dino. Our dog loves this little toy! At first I thought they had forgotten to stuff it, but now I see that’s intentional. He doesn’t have to hunt through a pile of stuffing to find the squeaker. He just nibbles at it and seems to find it very soothing. That doesn’t mean he’s not an aggressive chewer. I’ll clean up all the stuffing he’s pulled out of even super durable toys and by the time I get back from putting it in the trash there’s more to clean up! After 2 weeks though, Dino is still intact. If there was one thing that would improve this product it would be that I could throw it in the washing machine. But the tag says it should just be surface cleaned.

  16. Not invincible, but good for a while. My two aggressive chewers love these elephant toys. There are 2 squeakers so when one is destroyed there is still fun to be had. One elephant lasts a few weeks before being totally eviscerated and ready for the trash. I think a good investment as far as disposable dog toys go.

  17. Very durable. These pups usually destroy toys very quickly, but this thing is still intact after lots of tug o war and chewing. Heads up – it’s loud lol

Puppy loves it but destroys it quickly. I have a 12 lbs Cavalier named Clover who is just over a year old. She is the sweetest girl in the ways that count but a tiny terror when it comes to toys, she basically eats them. I have tried chew bones, she ignores them – she loves her stuffies, even the stuffing free ones. I started buying the larger size hoping it would deter the chewing a little, it has some but she still manages to eat something. She had a toe and the back ridge off the croc in ten minutes 😩.We both love the go dog products. They are cute and fun, wash well and are very well made, the chicken we call Cluck is her favorite (we are on our forth one lol) The only suggestion I have is maybe offer a few designs with rounded edges – might help some of the power chewers, less they can swallow. I’m just anxiously waiting for this phase to end!

Nice plushy toy. This toy is good for dogs that are not super chewers, but rather like the soft feel in their mouths and the squeaker is not high pitch but very engaging for the dog.

  22. Sturdy. Sturdy build. Pup still hasn’t torn it up and loves chewing it.

  23. Great dog toy. I have finally found something else that my dog can enjoy. I don’t know who this company is but they have made a great dog toy for my little girl I got it for her 3rd birthday this year. The material of the dog toy is actually pretty good. I avoid buying stuffed toys for my dog but decided to take another chance and try this one and so far its doing pretty good.

  24. size is VERY small. VERY small, made with a weak squeaker. Would not buy again or recommend at this size. Its even too small for my mini-dachshund, a little larger dog might try and swallow it.

  25. GoDog for the win. THese are the best plushy toys in my opinion. We’ve had so many and these hold up the longest. We throw them in the wash every few weeks and I am just replacing one after just over a year with two golden retrievers who have been known to go through “indestructable” dog toys in a few weeks. THey love them.
