Good, but. These lights were fairly easy to install and work great with the Gosund app. I have to knock them one star because of their limited functionality with Google Home. Although they say the “Work with Google Home”, they should say “Kinda works with Google home”. You can control the brightness and on/off features of the bulbs with the Google Home app, but unfortunately, you cannot control the color change function from Google Home. I contacted tech support who replied back the next day that Color Change functionality was not supported in the Google Home app. Quite disappointing and not mentioned in the description anywhere. I still like the bulbs, I even dropped one off from 6 feet up a ladder and it didn’t break when it hit the ground, so they are very high quality….just stinks I can’t color change without opening the Gosund app.
Very nice bulbs – Will definitely buy again. I am extremely happy with these bulbs. The bulbs are easy to setup and have a nice range of colors. For those who want to use a voice assistant to turn lights on/off by voice it works well. I just needed a bulb that had a natural yellowish glow like an incandescent bulb because I really do not like bulbs with a bluish hue. These bulbs have a very natural color and can look exactly like incandescent bulbs. The second thing I like is the ability to dim them to any level. This is great for my bedroom and office. After setting the proper brightness I may never use the smart features again. Now I just use the light switch like a good old fashioned light bulb. They work great and I would highly recommend them.
Great for Holidays & Automation. These are a great addition to our holiday decorating year round. We installed them in the fixtures in the front of the house and set them to pastel colors for Easter; green for St. Patricks Day; red, white, and blue on 4th of July or other patriotic days; purple and orange for Halloween; then various other colors for Christmas, and so on. Using the automation in the app, they can be colored for a few hours, then at a set time they’re moved back to full white for security overnight.I use them inside for the kids during birthday parties, such as Nerf gun wars to give each room a different color, and more.We use them on the back deck to to give a dim red color so that we can see, but we’re not blinded when someone does turn on the lights at night.Overall, the ways that these bulbs can be used goes on and on. They’re great to have and we’re always getting a complement on them.Obviously, I’ve purchased this brand several times over the past 4 years and so far I’ve only had one minor failure and that’s one bulb won’t go white again. It still does the other colors, but not white.
Very nice. Requires wifi. App is a bit finicky. The bulbs are nice and the color variety is lovely. I think the app was a bit of a hassle though because it gave me a really hard time when I tried to pair all 3 bulbs together to control them at the same time. I ended up having to remove them and re-sync them a couple times to make it work.Also, just incase you missed it like I did, THESE REQUIRE WIFI. My router was too far away for these to work at first so I had to move it closer to the room I needed them in.
Only one downside. The app to control them isn’t great and doesn’t want to pair with Alexa so I had to use Google home which is not convenient but they work great and my kids love them. Just wish it would work with Alexa.
Easy set up and great lights. The only thing I didn’t like was the color change. I cannot get these to look like fluorescent bulbs that I had. That said, I do like these. I replaced ‘smart bulbs’ that were not color changing and were not as reliable as these. These work flawlessly and I use Alexa to control them. I do not use colors, I prefer the retro look of soft white bulbs. I’m used to the soft white look now and really don’t miss the fluorescent look I was used to.
doesn’t work with dual band wifi. UPDATE: After a little research, I found I could turn off my 5 GHz band, program the bulb and then turn the 5 GHz back on. The bulb works great again. I am revising this review to 5 stars (from 4).I bought and installed them last year. They were easy to connect and worked very well. However, now that I have upgraded my router where the dual bands are combined (provides the convenience of connecting to whichever band is strongest), these don’t work. Yes, it tells you in the description it won’t work with dual bands. My loss. I would rather have the convenience of the combined dual bands than these bulbs.

App is a little messed up. They are great but the app doesn’t always work for them right away
Awesome! Very satisfied. These smart bulbs are the best. They were easy to install and they function well. I linked them to my echo show device so now they are voice activated. I use voice commands to turn them on, off, change the colours, change the brightness/ dim the bulbs. When I’m away from home I use the app on my phone if I need to control them remotely. I have no issues with them whatsoever! I may order some more because I’m quite satisfied with the performance as well as the price!
Ordered them over the years, will continue to do so. I first got these around the time of covid and use them in my home office. The ease of connecting them to my wifi and alexa is pretty easy. The price is on point too. I use these bulbs about 18 hours of the day and I have not had any problems. They lasted for their advertised life cycle too. I have ordered them for multiple cieling fans in my house and over the years. Very happy with them.
Searched online for how to use video. Positives: The bulbs are bright, the colors are nice, works with my google home. Can customize how bulbs work.Negatives: The colors aren’t always accurate, the pink doesn’t really look pink to me at least and the yellow seems a bit off. I don’t like the app thats used to control the bulbs. Connecting/activating the bulbs was annoying as I had to look online for a video and even on here read reviews how to connect them.First time using this type of bulb and it works good in my bedroom. For some reason they don’t work well in my bathroom but that could be my wiring.
Way too involved and invasive setup procedure. TL;DR: Setup requires use of a secondary app that requires you to create an account, and asks for too much info, such as internet passwords, GPS, camera access, etc. Other smartbulbs do not require any of this.—–I’ve bought smartbulbs from Philips before and think they’re great. They’re easy to use–just plug them in, sync to Alexa and you’re good to go.Ghome? Not so much.First of all, the bulbs I recieved were Gosund, not Ghome, which I thought were the wrong bulbs at first, but a little research shows this is just one of those dodgy brands that seems to change names every other week. Should have stopped in full here, but I pressed on anyway because, after all, already had the bulbs, right?Second: To connect them, I had to download their proprietary app first, which would have been only midly annoying were it not for the fact that I also had to make an account. Again, this is just for light bulbs… Still, I figured I’ll just do this, get them connected and then delete the bloatware app afterward. But, of course, there was more…Third: After logging in and going to set up, the app gives you options to use bluetooth or wifi to set up. I chose bluetooth. It still asked for my wifi password anyway (because of course it did), along with access to camera, etc. Growing more annoyed at this point, I gave in and entered the wifi password (again, figuring I’ll just delete all this after setup). Then it asked me to activate my GPS. That’s where I finally drew the line. What in the world does it need all of this information and access for? My GPS? Seriously? Why do I have to jump through so many hoops and give access to so much info just to use lightbulbs? What next? My SSN and blood type?At this point I deleted the app, blocked its access to any of my info, packed the bulbs back up, and requested a return.That’s what I get for trying to save a few bucks by ordering these bulbs instead of sticking with the Philips ones (or some other more reputable name brand), which again, asked for no info or required other another app, and I could connect within seconds.I do not recommend these bulbs at all. Avoid them and spend a little more on something reputable and reliable.
Really good light bulbs. Great for use with smart devices, use in bedroom and the quality of light is excellent, really long lasting even with heavy use, great assort of colors from you can configure it. Still using the 2 first ones whe got out of the box.
Great. I have these all over my home! They are great! They connect to Alexa! So we do little dance party’s, and you can connect the lights to the music! They are super bright! But you can adjust this! They work great! And a great value for your money!
