Almost Perfect, But with Some Quirks. On the positive side, this toaster works just fine for regular toasting needs. It consistently delivers golden-brown toast, giving you a satisfying crunch with every bite. The standard toasting feature functions smoothly and toasts bread slices evenly.However, things get a bit temperamental when it comes to toasting from frozen. While it’s advertised as a convenient feature, I’ve noticed that the toaster can be a tad finicky in this aspect. Sometimes it works like a charm, but on other occasions, it struggles to toast frozen items consistently. It’s a minor inconvenience that may require some trial and error to get the desired results.Another noteworthy aspect is the size of the slots. They are larger than those found in most standard toasters, allowing for a variety of bread sizes to fit comfortably. However, it’s worth mentioning that even with the larger slots, oversized bagels might still pose a challenge. The slots aren’t wide enough to accommodate these larger treats properly, resulting in uneven toasting or difficulty in inserting them.
Good toaster but hate cord location. Not sure why toaster designs now have the power cord coming out the side. If you have the buttons facing out towards you, the cable comes out the side of the toaster. Why not have the cord come out the back? Outside of the cord location, the rest of the toaster is good. The toaster toasts fast compared to other ones I have used. Crumbs are easy to clean out with the trays under the toaster. The look of the toaster works well with stainless steel appliance kitchens. There isn’t much of an issue with finger prints, which is nice.
Nice quality, good look, variety of settings. Enjoy being able to cook 4 pieces of toast (or bagels or waffles) at one time. I like having the ability to change settings for one side vs the other – in other words, I can have my toast a little toastier if I prefer and my husband likes his a little less toasty. We can do that with the 2 sets of controls.
Finally a toaster that fits my bagel. This is a great toaster. I mostly toast bagels and this toaster has a button for it and it doesn’t take forever to toast like some other toasters do. This toaster has a defrost setting that I haven’t used but I can see how it would be useful. There are also setting for how light or dark you want your food toasted. I am so excited that the slots are wide enough to fit my bagel without having to smash it or fear it will get stuck inside the toaster. First time you use it there is that nasty chemical smell burning off but that’s with any new toaster but by the 2nd toast I didn’t smell it. Highly recommend this toaster. I hope it hold up.
Better than my cuisinart. I wanted a two-slice toaster to use when I didn’t need my four-slice Cuisinart. The GE’s sides actually move inward toward whatever is being toasted, holds it in place and toasts rather evenly. My Cuisinart never did any of the above.
Great Toaster. I bought this toaster after reading some very good reviews and glad that I did. I had purchased a different brand a month ago from a big box store and it was terrible. Wish I could tell you the name of the BAD one but think that is not appropriate here. Anyway, the GE came very nicely packed. Excellent instructions with it. Very attractive for a toaster. Toasts bread evenly. Have used every day since purchase and still working great. I rarely eat bagels but i purchased one at the store just to see how it worked. It did very well. DO FOLLOW the instructions on using toaster with NOTHING in it the first time as it DOES give off an unpleasant smell for about 30 minutes. I would purchase this toaster again. It is also MUCH easier to clean the crumb tray than most toasters. THe tray is on the opposite side of the controls and looks like a little pull out handle. Just slide it out, clean and put back in. Unlike others when you have to turn them upside down just to get to the tray.

Great toaster. Who would have thought that buying a toaster would be such a big decision? Certainly not me – until it became one. I’m a little on the cheap side so when our old toaster bit the dust I bought a cheap one to replace it. It was awful and after about a month we replaced that one too. We ended up with this toaster and we love it. It toasts evenly. The design is good, there are enough spaces that don’t get hot during the toasting process so you don’t burn your fingers. We keep it in the cupboard so it doesn’t really matter what it looks like but even if we left it out, this one would be fine on the counter. Love it – great purchase!

Good product. This toaster was highly recommended by several testing companies. Don’t have any serious issues, but I don’t think it was a good as the reviews lead you to believe. Have had to fine tune the toaster to each item you put in. For example, have to do English muffins twice to get them crisp and not burn them.
Works well looks great. Best toaster ever. Looks great and is well made. Perfect? No. After a lifetime of toasters and toaster ovens this is the closest to perfect I’ve ever had. Do I wish the bagel feature only toasted one side? Sure. DoesIt matter to me? No. Fits on th counter and I really like the cord pathway options.
Nice Toaster, But. My only complaint is that it does not toast evenly on both sides of the bread.
Toaster. I had a very expensive toaster before that broke after a few years; this GE toaster does a great job , and fits on my limited counter space. It’s very attractive and looks great there. Easy to use, and toast comes out great !
Looks great, works even better. Easy to clean, easy settings, takes every toasters item with ease.
