Simple remote, just what we were looking for. My partner’s mother is 87 years old and struggles with anything electronic. We got her a new TV for Christmas. Unfortunately the only thing you can buy anymore are smart TVs. She has no internet and no concept of what a streaming app is. She constantly kept hitting the buttons to flip it to Netflix or Hulu or some other built-in app. And never could figure out how to get it back on her own. We had several phone calls from her just in the first month after Christmas! This takes away all those options. Has much larger buttons that she can more easily see. And also more easily push with her hands which have our arthritis. It’s been another month since we gave her this, and so far so good! She hasn’t got it stuck on a streaming app since.
Good for elderly. I purchased this for my dad because the cable remote had too many options and the buttons were small. Plus, I got tired of the calls to ” fix my TV ” because he kept fiddling around with a bunch of functions that weren’t necessary to play with. This little guy only allows him to turn the TV and cable box on and off, and change channels and volume. The buttons are large and easy to see however, it’s not back-lit but that’s a minor issue. In addition, unlike some universal remotes, programming this device was simple. Great for the elderly and the non-technically minded.
No channel/show I fo button. Great remote but it does not have channel/show info button.
Good simple remote for vision-impaired or shaking hands. This is a very good remote for a friend whose vision is only fair and whose hands and fingers shake and don’t allow for precise button-pushing on remotes with small buttons. The print on the large buttons is easy to read (though not backlit). It doesn’t have some functions that the original remote has, but for my friend hat’s fine because it’s simpler to use. The size and weight are comfortable. Works fine with a Vizio TV, includes printed list of codes for lots of brands and devices. The only improvement would be several dedicated favorite-channel buttons,
Good for Samsung tv and Vizio soundbar. Worked straight out of the box for my Samsung tv but had to use search function for soundbar because the codes listed on Vizio site did not work. Code for Vizio M51a-H6 soundbar worked to turn on and off and control volume with code 0666. Like the master volume control feature a lot, saves from switching between tv and audio all the time. Back light could probably be a little dimmer and and have motion sensing but does come on with slight touch of any key so good in darkened room. Good price and build. Would recommend giving this one a try.
Works Well. The offset back (bottom larger than the top) is a nice feature when watching TV in the dark. Previous remotes I have owned, that are symmetrical on the back, makes it difficult to tell if the remote is oriented correctly. The large buttons for volume and channel changing might be a touch too large, even for a guy with a 10″ hand span. Might be difficult to navigate for someone with a small hand.Otherwise, the buttons have a good feel to them and the overall quality seems good, especially for the bargain price.

works straight out of the package when you add your own batteries. This remote came with a LOT of supported devices and how to program the remote for the various devices, but I thought – TRY IT and VOILA straight out of the packaging, once I had added my own 2 AA batteries, the remote worked instantaneously with my TVs! EASY PEASY! Now I have two of these remotes. I have two TVs, a Samsung 2023 and a Samsung 2024.The remote is very lightweight, in fact adding the batteries almost doubles the weight, it is that light. The buttons are raised nicely, so I might even let my weak, essential tremor in arm/hand mom use this, since she has killed some buttons in our other, older remotes (which is why I needed some replacements). These buttons do not light up, so the remote’s 2 AA batteries should last a long time. I love that it uses normal batteries, as when it runs out it is nice to have compatible batteries on hand. If you have the factory provided remote that is supplied by Samsung, which is an evil to use device, this remote does lack some of those custom other buttons, but those aren’t things we/I regularly use anyhow. It is nice that something works just as expected! Simple is wonderful! Works GREAT on my Sony Bravia and older LG. Small, simple and WORKS great. “…simple navigation and a dot button for direct sub-channel access” very important for us who cut the cord and went off the air reception. Thank you.
I like this remote very much. Easy set up. Easy to use. I programmed my LG TV quickly using the first code on the list. Took 2 minutes. Same with my Roku box. I don’t see a code for my Google Chromecast with TV dongle but it turns out I don’t need one. It just works using the TV selection and changing the TV’s input to the proper HDMI port. How easy is THAT ? Luv it. Good universal remote. I highly recommend it.
Best Universal for Samsung TV with Spectrum cable box. I have a Samsung TV and Spectrum cable box. This remote worked right out of the box, without any need for programming. Love that it has just the basic buttons. Got this for my elderly father who is confused by the standard remote that has about 50 buttons on it. Quality seems sturdy too. Great remote!
wrong customer service. I bought this remote and it did not work for my tv, the instructions said you push the set up button and a red light comes on . There is not a red light on it . I call customer service to the number on the package and all you heard is advertising for medicare and medical devices .and when they finally, when they answered they are still talking about medical devices.
Easy to set up, functions as expected. When batteries exploded in my last remote, I needed a replacement. This one has been working well. It comes with a list of codes to use to set up various devices. I was able to add my television, Blu-ray player, and even an ancient VCR to this remote. The buttons light up, so it is easy to see them even if you are watching TV in the dark.
Super Remote easy to use and a little harder to lose. This works with my Samsung TV & Roku box with out any programing. Intuitive buttons make it easy to use. Also being backlite makes it easy to see. I have bought 2 of these and love them.
