My knees don’t hurt using this mat. I used a thinner mat before buying this mat and my left knee always hurt during certain poses. For about two months I’ve used this mat and am able to hold the same poses without knee pain. I am happy with this mat and would recommend it to others that need a little more cushion.
Comfortable, portable, and very little slip. The title says it all really. It is soft enough to be comfortable during deep stretch yoga sessions. The material is such that I don’t lose foot traction. Finally, it is easy to roll up and return to the strap carrier. Overall, a simple and solid yoga mat that does exactly what I expected and needed. A solid purchase.
Buy it! You won’t regret it. I am in my 50’s and have fibromyalgia and back and neck issues, and never minded my old yoga mat, until I bought Gaiam’s thick mat. It is sturdy, feels great on your feet and your back. I would sleep on it if I had to! The color is beautiful, I chose the teal/green.Even if you are just looking for something for stretching or doing sit ups or leg lifts, the thickness really cushions your joints and trigger points.So buy it! You won’t regret it!
Very cushiony. I replaced a mat that I have had for 10+ years. This is so much more comfortable. The thickness of the mat provides great cushioning for stretching, pilates or yoga.
Not good for long nails. I like the practicality of this yoga mat and feel like it provides adequate padding.The only complaint I have is that it’s easily ripped/scratched and probably won’t survive if you have long nails.
Seems like it will rip. Love how cushy this is. I don’t have to double it up during yoga. I’m 180lbs. Scared it’s going to rip while doing anything that pulls on the yoga mat, like down dog. You can see in the photo where it started micro-tearing, and I’ve only used it 2 times. It’s cheap, cute color and cushy though! Seems more like the mats they have at gyms for people to sit and stretch on, but I’ll keep using it til it gives out.

It’s thick. I like how thick and spongey the mat is. Has great grip factor and feels like it will last awhile. Price is very reasonable too.

100% Recommend THIS Yoga Mat. Love the teal color I picked. Is easily the best yoga mat I have had yet in last 5-10 years. Very comfortable, thick, and sturdy to use for stretching, yoga class, or deep breathing meditation . Very easy to roll up and Velcro in straps. Fits perfectly out of the way either under my bed, behind bedroom door, or next to my nightstand when rolled up.

Great amount of cushion. I purchased this for outside workouts often done on concrete or asphalt. It has excellent durability and cushion for hands/back/elbows/etc when doing calisthenics. It’s a thick, comfortable mat for people with sharp joints. Had one for over a year with heavy use and it’s still working great. The roll is pretty tight so it tends to roll up partway on its own; it helps to anchor the bottom of the mat with something to prevent that during workouts. The straps are easy to put on and provides a handle that makes it very convenient to transport.

Thick yoga mat. This is a great yoga mat. It is very thick which I love for practicing yoga. It causes no pain to hands and knees. The color is a nice dark green. The only thing to improve is the handles slip right off and you cannot really wear it on your shoulder.
Very comfortable. I got this product last week! Packaging came very nicely. It comes with a black Velcro strap so it stays rolled up nice and tight. The plastic smell really got to me when I first opened it up. But now that it’s been out, the smell is gone. It’s longer than me and I’m 5 ft. 5 in. so that’s nice that my whole body fits when I’m doing pelvic exercises. It’s nice and thick so it exudes comfortability when lying on it. Overall great product for a great price! I gave it 4 stars only because of the initial smell.

Thick and Comfy, but Easily Tears. Pros:- This mat is nice and thick which provides good cushion on a hard floor.- The carry strap is a nice touch, although I rarely use it.- Relatively affordable, although in this case you really do get what you pay for.Cons- After one light stretching section I noticed the mat had tears and gouges in it where my finger or toe nails touched. For reference I DO NOT have long nails.- Slippery. I easily slide around on these even when I’m not sweating.Personally, I’m throwing this away and investing a bit more for something more durable and functional.

Upgrade to this thicker, cushier mat. I love this thick yoga mat after years of my plain, thin mat. This one is so much more comfortable. And the straps are very useful, even if I’m not taking the mat to a class, the straps keep it in a tidy roll.
