FoodSaver® Reusable Gallon Vacuum Zipper Bags, for Use with FoodSaver Handheld Vacuum Sealers, 8 Count

Not Compatible With Older Sealers. I originally left a bad review because I thought my hand sealer extension on my v4400 which has an ovular shape would not work with these bags due to the bag port having a circular shape. But it works fine and these bags work very well! I’m very happy with them. Note that these bags are not for long term freezing storage in my opinion, that’s what the regular vacuum seal rolls are for. These are meant for refrigerated items that will be accessed regularly and used within a relatively short period of time. This is just my opinion, I use them for fresh produce mostly and any left over food that will be eaten soon and I want kept fresh as possible until then. I love these bags and will probably buy more in different sizes and such

It sucks, as it is supposed to. The foodsaver reusable ziploc style bags are thick, sturdy, and the gallon size is probably 6″ LONGER than a traditional sized gallon bag you’d buy from the “ziploc” brand at the grocery store. The gallon sized vacuum bags from foodsaver fit entire stalks of celery, etc, which is nice for longer items. I have the quart size bags too, I’ve found bigger is better in general. It’s just easier to fit things in them and take them out. And once it’s sealed there’s no air inside the bag, so who cares if the bag is a little bigger than you need sometimes? You’ll see. It really makes your food last MUCH longer, too (a couple weeks) while remaining fresh like the day you bought it.I’ve found that ridgid containers are better for soft veggies like lettuce, cilantro, etc, that you don’t want to squish from the vacuum sealing process. You can squeeze your meats but probably don’t want to squeeze your lettuce.As a side note, for a great ridgid container system, don’t bother with the foodsaver brand. They have VERY poor selection of ridgid containers. Mine broke in 5 days. Try the Fosa brand instead, they have GIANT container sizes if needed and the vacuum wand seals to the container while operating all on its own, allowing you to walk away from it and not lose suction – unlike foodsaver’s wand system for containers. The foodsaver brand requires you to babysit the entire vacuum process and it’s very loud to use. Fosa on the other hand is practically silent.

Works wi the waring pistol sealer. I was trying to find bags to work with my Waring handheld sealer since the Waring bags are increasingly difficult to find. These Foodsaver bags work perfectly. Even better than the Waring. Highly recommend.I use them mainly to freeze items and use a regular vacuum sealer to sous vide. I’ve found the bags get gross after cooking meat in them and don’t want to waste them since they can be reused otherwise many times. That’s it. I like them. Cheers

The 8 count gallon reusable zipper bags are nice. The bags appear to be of high quality and thus far are holding their vacume well. I only seal dry goods so can’t speak to how they behave with liquids. They are compatible with the vacume pump from esun. The valve on these bags are a bit more compact than the “upgraded” esun “kit 2” bags.

Great for keeping expensive cat food fresh. I have a cat on expensive prescription dry cat food. She will eat the dry food when I first open the bag, but rejects it once it loses its freshness. When I keep the food sealed in these reusable bags, she will eat the food. It’s a simple matter to open them, pour what I need, and reseal. You need the adapter to seal the bags back, but it’s a worthwhile purchase since I no longer waste expensive cat food. I wish I’d found this sooner.

Serious money saver. I have tried every conceivable product to keep food fresh to last longer. Even still, cheeses start to mold, lunch meat gets yucky, etc.Using Foodsaver reusable zipper bags with my vacuum sealer checks all the right boxes and I am over the moon with this winning combo. Not only does this prevent tossing away food, but you can reuse these bags over and over.I will not use another brand because the quality and thickness of the material AND the zip closure make this the best!I love that they include a handy tool in each box to assist the “zip close” process.The valves work great, the zip tops stay sealed, and you easily wash/dry them to use another time. WIN-WIN!!

Love the bags, hate where the vacuum hole is. These bags are far superior than the old style with just the flap that ‘sticks’ to the vacuum area. The new design provides a solid vacuum and the bags seem to be somewhat thicker.I find the bags a bit more difficult to open, I wish there some type of grips to grab the bag more firmly to open but I manage.The one design I consider a big flaw is the placement of the suction hole. Why not place it in the furthermost part corner of the bag as to allow a bit more space/room in the area where food is? This is especially noticeable in the gallon bags. Please consider redesigning the location of the vacuum hole.

I had mostly been using the rolls that you cut with the V825. These zipper bags will allow me to save some money by reusing them. I had to buy an adapter for my old model, but in the long run I should save money. I like that they are BPA-free, multilayer, durable and easy to hand-wash; also safe to use in the microwave, and for freezer storage. I don’t yet know how many times I can reuse them. Even a search on the Internet did not really tell me. So, time and common sense will tell me and prevail. Mine arrived with the box already opened, which I am deducting 1 star for.

Work great and hold vacuum well. These are reusable and heavy duty , harder to open and close than the non reusable bags, but come with a slide clip to help if needed. Once vacuumed, they do not loose any, still sealed tight after weeks !

Reusable vacuum bags. Ordered these to prepare some meats and store in the freezer. The bag itself was of good quality and thickness although there was air left in the bag (I blame on my vacuumed sealer though. It did however keep the food fresh. They are quick to open since they are resealable and reusable.
