Incredible. I inherited a yard with an enormous amount of pruning to do and after one day of hard work with my old standard hand pruners my wrist and hand were killing me. I decided to invest in a better pair rather than risk expensive medical intervention later on.Fiskars is a name I trust so I went with these despite other cheaper options calling my name. I knew they had the powergear but was not expecting the inner handle to “roll” inwards. What a life saver for my carpal tunnel. I never considered how much strain the motion itself of closing pruners caused. I thought it was the level of force itself paired with a repetitive motion that had caused my wrist to flare up.I had a long weekend right after receiving these and spent 90% of it out in my yard chopping away, and I woke up on day 3 with just a little soreness that faded quickly once I had moved my wrist around a bit and loosened up. But I think the amount of pruning I had done would have made even a normal person sore, so I was elated at how well these work!I’m disappointed to see there is no left handed version, as I would have sent my mom a pair immediately. I even checked their official site. Please consider adding this option, Fiskars!My only complaint is that after one season they seem to have a slight gumminess at the lock point. I’m not sure if it’s something between the blades a little further inside or if it’s in the lock switch itself, but I have to squeeze them a bit hard to get them to unlock sometimes. It looks like they may come apart for cleaning with an Allen wrench but I haven’t had a chance to give it a go. Fingers crossed that this is a fixable problem and not a tool I will have to replace so soon.
why not five stars. Find these a little difficult to cut through older stems/twigs. Maybe my hand just isn’t strong enough, maybe its the way these deliver force. I don’t know. What I do know is in trimming little dead twigs off my pomegranate, or trimming off a bit of the apricot – we are talking something about 1/8″ in diameter folks – i found it a bit stressful on my hand. Yes, I have arthritis in my hands, which is why I was looking for something like this that had a way of being a force multiplier. and I enjoy the Fiskars products for quality and ergonomics. If you have arthritis and are looking for a little snipper, still recommend this. it is extremely comfortable in the hand. But be prepared to add a little extra force if clipped a dead piece of wood rather than just green stems.
A little stiff but functional. Replaced a pair I accidentally tossed out in a pile of clippings. These function well. This particular pair seems a little stiff to use but wd40 will likely fix that. Sharp and strong. Locking feature easy to use and keeps blades safely closed when not in use. My go to hand held clipper.
Heavy duty. I love Fiskars’ products! This pruner is comfortable to hold and use, although it is a bit larger and heavier than I expected. Still, it’s sharp and definitely will hold up to any general pruning that needs to be done.
They pinch. I thought I would like these but I don’t. Harder on my hands than regular ones. I have RA so comfort and ease of use is important
Great for trimming shrubs and small tree branches. I had a trimmer but it took all my strength to get it to ‘sometimes work’ and even then it wasn’t a clean cut. This trimmer is awesome. It is easy to use and I will admit I don’t have the strongest of hands. So if I can get it to cut, you should be able to. It cuts clean and fast. It makes trimming up those rouge branches quick and easy. The grip is comfortable and the size is just right. It seems durable and well made so I expect it will last. So now my yard looks much better as I have no excuse putting off the task.
Works great. Very easy to use and pruned several bushes in no time.
Truly amazed with these. After ordering 3 others shears, these were the ones. The bottom handle rotates to provide extra leverage. It’s a little awkward to get use to at first, but after some cuts it’s no problem. Not heavy duty, light in the hand, but still sturdy enough to cut up to 3/4in branches.

After buying several different and cheaper brands, I am totally committed to only purchasing Fiskars now. Very durable and strong. They are also well made garden tools. Fiskars are a little pricier than other kinds, but they are well worth the investment. Very dependable and I have never needed to sharpen any of the various types I own. My only wish is that they made holsters or sheaths that you could clip to your work belt or gardening bucket. Have total confidence in buying any of the Fiskars tools because they are well worth the price.

keeps it’s edge. This pruner is well made. Blade stays sharp. Easy to maintain or tighten bolt between blade and anvil. I now have 2 of these because my wife kept stealing mine.
Good Pruners. These bypass pruners turned out to work good. I originally planned on returning them but missed the return window. Reasons being it would not prune very small branches or foliage very well. However, when I tried them on thicker branches it worked flawlessly so was happy I missed the deadline. I took off a star because the lock mechanism sometimes unlocks. Otherwise they are pretty good pruners and am satisfied with purchase.

Good Shears. Shears work well, and will cut a quarter-inch plant easily.
Sharp and effective. I was not sure if I would like the handle and it’s rotating but it has proven to make trimming much easier on my old hands. It has become the first choice for my wife and that alone makes it worthwhile. The easy and effectiveness is a bonus.
