  1. Had this for a long time. Very durable. My dogs have not chewed through this and I have recommended this one to so many people I have a poodle and dachshund and I got the bigger one. I use this leash to do an 8 symbol and use as a gentle leader for training. My tiktok and instagram is Cedarcreekcanines where I show case training my poodle with it. NO MORE PULLING. Just buy this already. I am so glad my girl doesn’t pull gentle leader training is only meant to use for a little while only when out on walks for a short period of time. Correcting them and rewarding with treats. Once they get the hang out if. Training daily for about 6 months you can use it as a regular leash and no more pulling. I’ve even used it with my 80lb Rottweiler. Harness wouldn’t stop him from pulling, front leader wouldn’t stop him, choke collar, nothing at all I did the infinity symbol with the leash placed one side on his neck at the very top near his ears and the other end on his nose. DO NOT put in the middle of their throat. He no longer pulls either. During training teach them to look at you, pay attention to you. Have lots of treats. They will fight to get it off at first so for the first week just let them get use to it. Feels weird on their nose. Look up crazy 8 dog training and that will help as well.

  2. Bought a second–we love ours. We fought our dogs for a long time with harnesses and metal-toothed choke collars, but these seem to work better than anything, and are so simple. You can make the loop really big, and our dogs don’t mind us putting them over their heads. We went with 6′, which allows the dogs some freedom, but is perfect to hold the loop in the left hand and guide the dog with the right hand further down the leash. They don’t look glossy or reflective, but they do reflect very impressively in headlights. Our second leash came with a nice metal stop that can be used to prevent over-tightening–this was a nice improvement since the sliding leather tab slides too easily for a stop, and works better to keep the leash from loosening so far that it can come off.Only con is that we tried one on a puppy, and the puppy teeth will definitely fray these. Our older dog carries his leash, and it shows no sign of fraying.

  3. CAREFUL, this page sells two STYLES and they don’t show you that in the images. These are amazingly well built and beautiful colors. I bought an orange for my MALE foxhound, and Purple for my FEMALE dutch. The Purple does not have the second stopper to prevent choking her out. The Orange does have the second METAL stopper. Though, none of the images I looked at showed any differences between the two. Meaning they were like the Purple in the images where there wasn’t the second METAL stopper.Other than that annoyance, great leashes.

  4. Easy Slip Lead. Easy to get on & take off of my dog. Can grab it quickly & have my dog ready to go. It’s thick, flexible with a little bit of stiffness. The more use it gets the more flexible this lead should get. I got it to replace the Cesar Millan lead I bought that was 4 1/2’. This lead is 6’. I needed the longer one. It’s not as well made as the Cesar Millan lead. I’ll keep it & use it when needed. Like I said, it’s quick access to controlling your dog without having to grab a collar, then a leash.

  5. Just what I needed. My 7 pound Chihuahua pulls me around the park at a pace i can’t keep up with & all attempts to stop it were futile. I was hesitant to buy a slip lead because I was afraid I would choke her but I got this & was pleased to see it has a stop on it to prevent choking. It is a sturdy lead & has worked already. I was also afraid she would pull out of it & run out in traffic but this stays on her & she has no choice but to slow down. Hooray!

  6. good slip lead. Love the concept of a slip lead. Easier to slip a loop over the fog’s head than it is to snap a conventional lead to a collsr ring. Good control over the dog. My only complsint is that when new this slip lead is very stiff, but it softens with use.

  7. Easy to use, Perfect for training dogs/handlers. The product arrived fast and was used for work. I work my part time at a Pet Paradise location in FL. It doesn’t choke/gag the dogs, but does require some familiarity of how to use it which comes with time. I wish it had a leather grip on the handle to protect your hands from when one of the dogs gets overstimulated and starts to lead you. It’s very lightweight and can be worn around your chest or shoulders. High quality material, very stylish and easy to locate when you are switching dogs that already have a lead on.

Great leash. These leash was recommended to me by my dog rescue group. It’s great for puppies who have tiny necks. It’s designed to not choke and won’t slip off. Leash is well made, sturdy, great value. It’s very stiff in the hand at first but after repeated use is more flexible.

Quality Lead That Works Really Well. Been using this lead with my 16 lb puppy and it’s great! Slips on easily, has a sleeve that allows you to adjust the diameter around the neck. Light, and great for training and walking. So much better than a lead with a regular collar. Will update when our puppy gets (much) bigger.

  10. Perfect leash. I just started volunteering to walk dogs at the animal shelter. This leash is perfect as it easily adjusts to size. It it very sturdy and easy to hold onto. Works well by being able to slip in on and off in the kennels as the dogs don’t wear collars.

Really well made. A little “slick.”. My rating: 4 starsPowder’s rating: 5 stars. This is the best tug-of-war/chew rope dad has ever bought.I’m giving this four stars based on the superb design and construction, with a small ding for material type. I think for 99% of dog owners out there who are dedicated to training their dogs into well behaved members of the family, this is a great lead in responsible hands, and very likely a 5 star product for most folks.Part of the excellent design, is a safety ring, which prevents over-tightening, something I wish my current go-to had, along with a leather “stop” to prevent the lead from becoming lose and allowing smart puppers from backing out.My 1 star deduction: I did find the lead material a little “slick”. Even with it positioned at high neck, Powder was able to pull enough when breaking his heel, to slide it in my hands. This made the correction sloppy. I found myself having to focus on really gripping the lead to prevent the slip and that of course resulted in a pretty stiff arm, which is the opposite of what I’d like. You can give the lead a single wrap around your hand to prevent the slip, I’d just prefer not to do that.Training side note: Powder is a 70lb Husky mix, and like most of them, is a hard and heavy puller. Putting him in a harness would be the short path to getting flopped over and dragged through the dirt. He’s also displayed severe leash anxiety at odd times and I suspect a lack of training from his original owners. So, I was a little nervous about the initial introduction to this, but to my surprise he took to this lead straight away. Zero anxiety, and I was able to bring him into a pretty relaxed heel very quickly. If you have a “puller”, I think this lead is definitely worth testing.

Its slip lead design provides a secure and adjustable fit, making it ideal for training and walking. The strong, durable rope material ensures long-lasting performance, while the comfortable grip allows for easy handling. 15. Good Quality Slip Lead. I love this Slip Lead. This is not an actual Dog Leash though. I saw some reviews from people who may not have been sure of what they were actually purchasing. This is a Slip Lead, which means there is no clip on the end to attach to a collar or harness. This item works great for training, if you need to move a dog that may not be listening, or doesn’t have a collar on. I work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. This works amazing while moving dog groups from room to room, or yard to room, etc. Some dogs are more stubborn and/or may have collar shyness, which can lead to the dog re-directing on or at you. Dogs are more willing to follow and listen when using this lead. It just slips right on over there head and the moving tabs secure it safely on the dogs neck, then slips right back off when needed. This is the best quality for the price I could find, and I did a lot of searching. Comes in a variety of colors which is nice as well. I’ve been using it for over a month, basically daily, have put it through the washer once, and it still looks practically new. Very Durable. I wouldn’t recommend hot drying though, I just let it hang dry.

Great leash. This leash isn’t flimsy, it’s very strong and thick. It eases my mind knowing there’s more control. This was the type of leash my dog trainer told me to use. I love the color selection and that it’s got reflective threads in the design.

  19. High Quality, Strong Materials, Real Leather Bindings & Anti Choking Buckle. The headline says it all. I’m writing to say that in the photos, the anti-choking ring buckle does not show and was not mentioned in the ad copy I read. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find the buckle in addition to the ring and leather stopper. I don’t know if they make a version without the anti-choke, but I’m grateful to have it.Since you can make the loop very large when placing it over his head, there’s none of the dog’s collar resistance.

  20. Great slip collar and lead. Needed something for my 11 month Benese Mountain Dog. I wasn’t sure if the thickness would work on upper part of her neck, but it does. It’s also super comfortable on your hands should they pull. No rope burn! It’s soft and easy to put off and on. The leather stopper is helpful to move down once you have collar on to keep it as tight as you want it when not pulling on it, so it won’t go over their head. Not really sure the purpose of the metal piece but overall, great quality slip lead.I really wanted the turquoise (blue) one but I purchased the black one so when i take photos, it doesn’t show up as much.

  21. Functional and durable. Using this training lead to help a young lab/golden pup learn to walk at heel. She fought it at first but is beginning to understand what is being asked of her. Just so much energy to expend before such control can be expected. Like that it releases quickly but doesn’t slide down low on her neck. Appears durable and functional. Easy on our hands.

  22. Lead Leash Leads the Pack. The leash is affordable, durable, easy to apply, and it looks good too. The vibrant red color makes it easy to locate.

  23. Quality leash that’s easy to use. Did not get my hopes up on this one since I only needed a “slip” leash to bring puppy home from foster. I had also bought another “traditional” leash to use in yard for potty training and while in the kitchen during playtime. Turns out, this leash is far better and easier for the puppy to wear and walk in. Its round instead of flat and made very well. I am going to purchase another one to keep in the SUV. Best leash Ive ever used and great value!

  24. Great Leashes. These are great leashes. I like the reflective cords that run through it. I have a few different sizes, and all dogs that I’ve used them with are good. Much sturdier than any clip on leash.

  25. Zion and Crater the Golden Pups February 14, 2025 at 12:00 am

The best leash for puppies. The media could not be loaded. We bought this leash right before we brought home our second Golden Retriever puppy. We learned with the first one that when potty training, there is no time to put a harness or collar on the puppy because when they need to go THEY NEED TO GO. This leash made it so easy to slip on and walk out the door. The leash can definitely be credited for saving us from several in house potty accidents! It is thick and durable – I know because our puppy loves to walk himself and fight with the leash, so the leash has taken quite a beating from the puppy teeth and looks brand new! I love now the neck piece is adjustable (with the little leather piece), it provides peace of mind that he won’t slip out of the slip lead when he’s playing in the snow or trying to walk himself. Puppy parents and puppy parents to be – do yourself a favor and get this leash for potty training, especially if you live in an apartment or don’t have a fenced in yard! The price is hard to beat for this kind of quality/durability!
