Not easy to assemble. As stated in the instructions, do NOT tighten the screws until you have all screws started. Leaving the screws loose gives you a little wiggle room to align the screw holes. Once you have all the screws started, tighten all. Using the included allen wrench is a bit time consuming because you can only tighten about 1/4 turn and then have to reinsert the wrench. Luckily I have an allen wrench set that works with a screw driver handle. That certainly helped in the assembly process. I was able to assemble the set by myself but an extra pair of hands would have been handy at times, especially when trying to align the screw holes. Once assembled it’s a nice comfortable set and well worth the $90 I paid for it..Hardware was missing 3 washers, had to use my own. I guess they tried to make up for it by including 3 extra screws. FYI, it’s made in Vietnam.
Set your expectations. We didn’t have too much trouble assembling these, we read the reviews and anticipated issues with alignment of bolts. Not all the inserts were drilled decent but using the smaller tools provided they still tightened well. (USE TWO WASHERS ON THE CHAIR BOLTS)At this price point our expectations were met. I wouldn’t recommend for high use or exceeding the 200 pound weight limit as they are a tad on the flimsy side. But overall the ratan seems durable and it’s a cute set.
Assembly is a challenge. First.. you generally get what you pay for and this set was quite inexpensive… something that will be used only on occasion so I didn’t want to spend much for items. Fair enough. Seems sturdy once assembled. That may take some time since not everything is aligned and the work area is a bit awkward. But it can be done A hammer comes in handy to set the back and sides. I finally found a bit to match the Allen wrench and use in my multi bit screwdriver. I highly recommend using one. So all things considered, a decent buy for the use. I’ll see how it holds up to the weather.
Style At The Bistro Table. It taught me patience, I’ve never built anything #1, the hands just don’t move at 72 like they did at 22, I don’t comprehend instructions very well. They turned out perfectly. I just put the screws in the holes and patiently turned the little L shaped thingy. 1st one took 1 hour, 2nd one took 40 minutes, table which is just precious took about 15 minutes. I saw some lawn sofa sectionals in the garden dept., very similar. I had to smile I could put it together. I love it!!! I also had my husband check the screws tightening when he got home. He didn’t have to make one turn. Confession time: I weight 172lbs, I thought welp if it’s going to break it’s going to break on me not company. I wasn’t even careful full force plopped down. 🙂 it held, I am a happy customer and will buy again I am sure. AND 100% the price was GREAT!!!!!!!
Lovely Addition to My Balcony. This was a super buy and is lovely, but I ended up with wobbly legs and have to place a caster under one leg of each chair to stabilizer. I was told it is because I didn’t screw them tightly enough, but I went as far as I can go. Assembly instructions could be bettere. But nevertheless I love them. They are sturdy and comfortable.
