Surprisingly good. Wasn’t expecting much from this mascara since it was so cheap and cutesy looking. But the formula is absolutely perfect for me! I tend to avoid mascara because I put on too much too fast and end up with clumpy lashes, which drives me nuts. Within the first brush, I saw zero clumps. I brushed in the product 3-4 more times and I was so happy with the results!! My lashes looked like they were naturally long! Almost zero clumps, there were literally just tiny bits here and there. Best part, zero flaking. I was shocked. Gave it 4 stars bc it still smeared a tiny bit after a long summer night (although, I do tend to sweat a lot in the face, so….).Also, it’s easily removable, which could be a con for some folks, but not for meeee!!
Best inexpensive mascara out there. For decades I have only used mascara from Estée Lauder, Lancôme, Benefit, Anastasia Beverly Hills, etc. A friend uses this mascara and suggested I try it. The cost was nominal compared to my other mascara, so I decided to try it. What a fantastic product! I don’t think there is a mascara out there that can beat this due to the price point. It goes on smoothly and I like the shape of the applicator brush. I do have to apply 2-3 coats to get the coverage I like. This causes me to go through the tubes much faster than my more expensive brands; but because the price is so cheap, I still save a lot of money, even though I go through more tubes. I still use my more expensive brands; but for my “casual day use” I always grab my this product! My only issue is that some of my really thick undereye concealers can cause the mascara to smudge slightly. (Minimally, and not always) If I avoid really “dewy” or thick undereye concealer, I have zero issues with this mascara smudging. I rarely like inexpensive makeup… but this little guy makes me want to try to find other ways to save money in other areas of my makeup routine!
Amazing Product at an Amazing Price. As a woman with a maturing face, I am always in search of “mature face friendly” products. This brand is on point. However, not only did I buy it for myself. I also bought it for my 20-year-old “young, fresh-faced” daughter and she loves it too! It is easy to apply. It doesn’t make your lashes as long as advertised but it does make them look long and full and it doesn’t clump. A few swipes and I am good to go. I also find it very easy to remove with my cold cream cleanser. Nothing special is needed for removal. The price makes this product the best!
My daughter loves this mascara. I recently tried the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara and it has quickly become a favorite in my makeup bag. Not only did I find it at an amazing price, but my daughters also love it! They were right about how easy it is to remove with makeup wipes. I haven’t noticed any smudging, and my daughters have been careful not to rub their eyes, which is always a good thing. The mascara really lives up to its name – it makes their lashes look long and full as if they were wearing false lashes. Overall, I highly recommend giving this mascara a try!
Dry formula but it still gives. At first I hated this. It was clumpy, dry, cakey, and flaky. After using it several times I feel like I broke it in and it started to create full, dramatic, fanned lashes with a gothic doll or glam rock appeal. It’s a great product if you can get it to work for you. There is still a decent amount of fall out however.
Get this mascara. I love this mascara! I’m so glad it randomly popped up on my Amazon search. The price is so reasonable it’s ridiculous, and the mascara goes on so well. I have been doing makeup for 20 years plus, and use everything from drug store brands to the expensive stuff. It is true that you get what you pay for in many ways, but this is a gem. $4.99 for amazing mascara. It does not clump, and it makes my lashes visibly longer and adds volume. If I’m low on time, which is always lol, I throw this mascara on, with some lip gloss and moisturizer and I’m good to go. This mascara really does the job…. I’m on a break from false lashes as they took my real ones with them and now they need time to grow and come back. I am liking the natural look and how these give me full lashes with nothing fake there. Lately it seems like being plastic is in style, and I don’t like it. I like to see women’s real beauty; their authentically, different, beautiful selves. Everyone trying to look the same is just weird. False lashes is a part of this trend. But I digress… good makeup gives you the results you want and this does the job!!! Definitely will be ordering more, this is my new go to mascara.
Definitely looks like I have longer, thicker lashes. This mascara is great. I have shorter, thinner lashes and I’ve been thinking about getting extentions but don’t want to spend the time or money on the upkeep so I gave this a shot. I’m so glad I did. I can actually see my lashes after I put mascara on. Plus it’s a super dark black so I can use even less.One pic is one eye with mascara and the other without so you can see how hard it is to see my lashes. The other one is with both lashes done with only one coat of mascara. The more coats I add seems to make them look longer… after like 3 coats they don’t seem to “get longer” tho.I didn’t do my bottom lashes because I end up with smudges under my eyes by the afternoon but it’s not just this mascara that does it so its not brand specific.But it does come off easily and I haven’t noticed any damage to my lashes or any lashes falling out when cleaning the mascara off. I’ll continue to buy…Just need to learn how to prevent the under-eye smudge.
I love this mascara. This isn’t waterproof, (the green one) idk how many types of Essence Princess mascara but quite a few to choose from. I usually get waterproof but decided to go without waterproof this time & see how it holds up. I love this mascara! I’ve been looking for a good mascara for abt 8 yrs, have pd over $20 a tube for high end name brands. This mascara goes on so nice, it doesn’t burn my eyes & it doesn’t flake, it washes off w/ soap & water but not super easy, so you might need a makeup remover or a little micellar water. So far in my search for mascara, I’m satisfied w/this one, it has a great brush & isn’t clumpy & it really does make your lashes long!
Never using another mascara ever. After seeing a ton of articles saying that this was the best mascara that anyone has ever used, and it is really, really affordable, I decided to just give it a try and see what the hype was about.Well, I will happily say that I am on my 2nd tube of this mascara!! I could not believe how fabulous this works!! I wear makeup everyday and use a makeup remover cloth using just water to clean it off, so I figured if it could come off easily with just water, I would be a lifetime customer. I will be purchasing my 3rd tube of this in the next month or so, so yeah it really is that damn good!!It doesn’t clump, stays on all day and looks great, comes off really easy, and does exactly what it says. Your lashes will be longer, fuller, and quite possibly the best they’ve ever looked! Once you use it the first time, you will understand what I’m talking about. Next thing you know, you’ll be getting your 3rd tube soon too.
I like it. I was a little skeptical because of how cheap this is compared to other mascaras out there, but it had so many good reviews that for the price I thought might as well give it a try. I’ll say its not my favorite one to this day, but it does a pretty good job, upside is it makes my lashes look super long and pretty, the downsides are, if I don’t wipe out the excess mascara several times before, I usually get some unwanted lumps but its easily fixed, and it miiiight get a little smudged if rub my eyes after a while. Other than that i love that its super easy to remove and for the daily use I’ll continue to use it!

Pretty Good Mascara for the price, easy to remove, lot of product on wand-Good Color. I’ve only used it for a few days but it doesn’t irritate my eyes or skin so far and doesn’t bleed/run down into my eyes. It will come mostly off with water so it is Not waterproof. I have not been using mascara for about 2 years due to dry eye and how most flake/run off etc.TIP:: This does have a LOT of mascara on the wand so I found that if I use a napkin and rub off some of it before I apply it that is clumps less or leaves less of those bigger round gobs at the tip of some eyelashes. I also curl my lashes before I put it on and still have to use toothpick a little to space out some lashes.I did wear it overnight twice to test it and it did not smear all over and didn’t flake into my eyes, but I mostly am a back sleeper.
Thee BEST mascara I have ever found. If you’re looking for fairy lashes, or the innocent look, this is not your mascara. But if you’re searching for bold and ‘look at me’ lashes, it’s definitely for you!Be prepared, you’re going to be accused of wearing falsies.Just a few swipes is all it will take for standout eyes.I highly suggest maybe two coats maximum, otherwise if you wear glasses, your lashes will be swiping against them.Honestly, at the price point for this formulation, I feel like I’m stealing it.GOD, PLEASE DON’T LET THIS BE DISCONTINUED, EVER!
Perhaps the best mascara ever. I’d seen this mentioned on the internet as an amazing product. Then I saw the NY Times recommending it in their Wirecutter column. I’d been switching back and forth between Maybelline and L’Oréal. It was time to try this. I’m so happy I did. It gives nice color, length and curl to my lashes. Smudging and flaking are minimal. It comes off easily. I have dry eyes and this left my eyes feeling less dry at the end of the day, which is a nice bonus.
Love. Love this mascara. Makes me look like I have lashes for sure. I’m just upset I didn’t realize there was a waterproof one as well. This is also pretty much smudge proof as well. I don’t see any problems. I just like to always have a waterproof one. Easy to wash off as well. Super glad it’s gluten free because now my eyes don’t get red anymore or itchy. I wish I took photos so you could see the difference but I’m too lazy. Trust though there is a definite difference. This product doesn’t disappoint.
