Yeah, the hinge isn’t built well so just be careful. I see a lot of negative reviews because of the hinge. Quite honestly it’s the first thing I checked out when the product arrived. You can immediately see why some have issues with it breaking as it’s plastic and held on by two small screws. The key is not to slam it down or treat it badly. You should be fine! The product is amazing but I do hope the company re-designs the hinge.

It works, but. Top latch is not as “ruggedly built” as my 15 year old prior version (same company) that stopped working. I don’t think this one will last 15 years? Plastic used in latch seems “cheap”.

Love this Quesadilla Maker. I had previously owned a smaller Quesadilla Maker and the non-stick surface got old and I had to get rid of it, as everything was sticking to it. Bought this one, it’s a little larger than what I previously had and we love it. Easy to close, easy to clean – works as it should

Bought this as a gift. We bought this as a kinda joke gift for our son who likes Del Taco cheese quesadillas. He lives in TX and can’t get them there. Has to visit us to get one. And then, he sometimes complains about how they were made. So we got this for him to fix all that. He can add as much or as little cheese as he wants and cook it as long as he wants. If there’s a problem with the food, he’s only got himself to blame. Back to the review…he loves it! Perfect gift for a quesadilla lover. Don’t see why you couldn’t cook other foods in it either.

Missing instructions and recipe booklet. Seems to work. Only issue is that the box was missing the instructions and recipe booklet. At least the company had them online for easy downloading.

From leftovers we’ve gotten from the refrigerator we made some great quesadillas. I even got the refurbished one for cheaper. It Cooks great heats up quickly. Must buy one of these. And it’s extra large which is also a plus. So they are very versatile especially with leftovers. We made some beef and cheese quesadillas with sour cream and salsa and they smelled great and we’re very delicious.

Fast Easy and Delicious Quesadilla – Cook Friendly and Delight to Use. This is just what I needed, quality, reasonable price, good value and easy to use! I could not be more delighted than I am with this product overall. I studied the others, read the reviews and finally landed on this particular Quesadilla Machine and I am so glad I did. Here is the down and easy. It is durable – the lid is wobbly because it needs to be to accommodate the stuff you want to squeeze in the Quesadilla – it isn’t a manufacturing or quality issue – its a design feature. Still, don’t over cram – don’t bust it by putting so much in it you can’t close it. Use common sense. The drip pan requires the maker be level or angled to drain to the front. I found my counter was not level, so I put a thin small cutting board under the back legs and ‘Voila’ it works as intended – the machine can’t fix the uneven surface you put it on. The Quesadilla I made in the photos included was all done in 15″ – Keep an eye on it, baby it, treat the machine with respect and I assure you – it will perform beautifully. It can be a challenge to get the lid to lock down (again watch the filling), but use a safe pot holder or something and both hands to gently press down evenly and wiggle the latch to connect. I actually sprac the plates with non-stick spray, load the first Quesadilla on the plate, add incredients and then use my top Quesadilla (12″) to lay on top, compress ingredients down and then close and latch the lid. Watery ingredients will make a mess – strain them. Don’t go crazy on the cheese and you won’t have “queso ooz!” Have fun and enjoy. I use a pizza cutter on glass board to cut pieces cleanly. Teflon spatula is all I needed to lift and move to cutting board. Supervise adults and children so they don’t make a mess or hurt your valued Quesadilla Maker! Love it!
