I’m writing my John Hancock on this model. It’s a beauty. Okay, I will start off by stating that I am not a professional graphic artist so don’t expect an especially artistic bent to this review. I am an avid photographer and have worked in the creative arts my entire career. I love digital photography and the ability to manipulate photos after the fact. The ability to control light and shadows, exposure, midtones, saturation, etc. and being able to control tiny areas of the photograph are all things that I manipulate in the digital darkroom. In order to really work well with masks and feathering to control the effects it really helps to have a tablet and pen. For years I have been using a Wacom Bamboo tablet and pen. They were great for entry level work and for experimenting to see if a tablet was really going to be the tool of choice for me.Well, recently, I built a new PC and the software that I use for photography was upgraded. The response of the Wacom tablet and pen had become unpredictable and disappointing. Wacom no longer had new drivers for the Bamboo tablet line that worked well with Windows 10, so I went on Amazon to see what the latest crop of tablets was like. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money since I don’t make my living doing this. After reviewing several of the tablets there were just a few criteria that were important to me: The size of the tablet, the number of customizable buttons and their layout, and a pen that didn’t require a battery or recharging.I was intrigued by some tablets that were wireless and would allow me to avoid worrying about cords dangling around the keyboard. But after considering how I use my pen and tablet, I realized that I didn’t need a wireless version. I had used a Huion tablet before and had been relatively pleased with how it works (it is still at my desk at work where I use it on occasion). But this H640P looked particularly intriguing and the price was certainly appealing.I hooked it up for the first time today and I can tell that Huion has made great leaps forward in the design and function of their tablets. This one is FANTASTIC for what I need it to do. It is SMOOTH and responsive. I have customized the tablet buttons and layout a few times and think I have it roughly where I want it. Using the pen as a digital brush has become a true joy. Having used Wacoms on Macs at work I can tell you that the response and ease of use on my PC with this new tablet feels just as good. I am so impressed with the ease of use I am looking for additional photos to play with! The size of the tablet is great and I can shift it on and off of my lap easily. I keep it right near my keyboard and mouse (yes, there are some things I like to do that require a mouse) for easy access. The tablet is very lightweight yet solid. The nib of the pen glides on this surface. The pressure sensitivity of the pen is fully adjustable in the driver software and I couldn’t be happier with how that function works. It has more than 8000 levels of pressure sensitivity allowing me to manipulate the size of the brush on the fly. If I want to expand my brush I just press a bit harder and watch the cursor expand and contract as I press harder or softer. And price is $50.00!!! This thing is a STEAL at this price. If you are on the fence and you have the money to spend (and with Amazon’s return efficiency should you decide this tablet isn’t right for you) you should DEFINITELY LOOK HARD at this model. I am very pleased with my choice and look forward to a long relationship with my new Huion Inspiroy tablet.
Great for drawing. Got a replacement for my broken tablet, and I gotta say, this one’s a winner for drawing! It feels super smooth, and I love that I can adjust the pressure curve within the app. Setting it up on my Windows PC was a piece of cake—just install drivers from their website and plug it in. The size is a tad smaller than my computer, but considering the price, it’s all good, and it doesn’t bother me much. My only gripes are that I had to get used to holding the pen a specific way to avoid pressing the buttons accidentally, and it lacks tilt sensitivity. But honestly, the pros outweigh these minor cons. If you’re thinking of getting one, go for it! You won’t regret it.
Fine for beginners. Have heard great things about this brand, and was ready to try an actual drawing pad instead of tablet programs. I have used my Inspiroy H640p with mostly Gimp and Krita so far, works fine, no major problems with connections or reaction speed. Odd thing is even if the buttons on the front face are all programmed by the image on the computer (meaning with buttons on the left side, top button being button 1, then going downward) the order is wrong. Mapped so that 1 is copy, with the pad arranged the same way, 6 is copy. Very odd, have reset and cleared it out a few times, so assuming there is some crossed wires inside. But all considering, this is just an annoyance. Once I realized it is permanently reversed, I just memorized the order. So no big.
It’s Just Okay. It works pretty good! I’m certainly no expert and have very little experience with drawing but it worked fine for me! Finding the drivers was always a bit of a pain but it is doable.
GREAT for beginners. This is a amazing tablet for people who just got started with digital drawing and art in general, The cable is a bit finicky and annoying to work with and the express buttons are mushy but the this is a nice tablet if you want to get into digital art on a budget.
Nice Gadget. Works as described but hard to maneuver for beginners. Will update later after playing around with it and doing lots of personal figuring out. Finding a good digital app could probably solve some of those beginner issues. Durable and easy to install.
Works great – i don’t recommend the original drivers. So, for this review to help your purchase, you need to check these boxes.- Do you plan to use the full area of this tablet? (if not, look at something like the H430, it’s cheaper, and smaller. have used it before, works about the same.)- Are you on Windows? (7, 8, 10, 11, all works about the same)- Are you ok with the hassle of downloading alternate drivers? If you answered yes to these questions, then this review is for you. Let’s get into it.So, all things considered, this thing is great! Pen pressure works, full area is great, very responsive, just all in all a good price to performance tablet. Now, thats about all good things I have to say. In to the nitty gritty we go…The drivers suck, and they suck bad. Things have obviously been google translated and it shows. It “works” well enough for people just giving things a try, but if you are sticking with this tablet in the long run, the driver experience just isn’t there. A fix for this is OpenTabletDriver. Primarily, this is used by osu! players, however it has been optimized for most drawing softwares out of the box. Paint.net, Photoshop, Krita, you name it. But – this isn’t an advertisement on the fratures of OpenTabletDriver, so do your own research and see if it’s right for you.Moving along, the nibs wear down easily compared to other tablets. It isn’t exactly the worst problem, as it still takes a LONG time to get through them all, but having to pay 20$ every so often (maybe about a year with heavy use in my experience) it isnt really ideal. But, hey, at least it comes with replacements… (cough cough gaomon cough cough)Also – for the osu! players out there. Just get the H430. I promise you, you will not be using the full area of this tablet. Thank me later.Anyways, I’ll stop writing now. Hopefully this helps someone!

A good little tablet for sketching and detail work. I have used W***m tablets for decades. This is a nice tablet that works like you expect. Even the pen doesn’t require batteries, but has a separate replaceable nib. It’s a good portable size, the button on the pen works smoothly. It’s as sensitive as my old tablet and a perfect size for a multiple applications.Easy to set up, works well even with my MX Linux system. It is compatible with Apple, Windows and Android, too. It comes with a USB C adapter for tablet or phone use.It is scratch resistant. I haven’t had one yet! And I use it for making book covers. Also works intuitively for GIMP and Krita.
An awesome and easy to use tablet at a great price. This a great drawing tablet. It’s small enough to not take up too much desk space, but still comfortable to draw on. It’s easy to set up and the pen sensitivity of accurate. I do wish that there were additional buttons, but for the most part 6 buttons are enough to get by.
Excellent tablet, great bang for the buck. I’m a professional photographer and use a tablet daily. I needed to replace the small one that I had been using and decided to go with this. I’m glad I did. It works great, and it’s very responsive. I’m on a MacBook Pro M1, and have had no issues with the driver or functionality. Every once in a while if I am using a second monitor, I have to go in and change the active area to the second monitor, but it’s easy to make the switch and once I do it stays there. The pen is comfortable and easy to grip. The tilt and active pressure functions are very responsive and flow naturally. My only regret is that I didn’t go for the Bluetooth / wireless version. I have to connect using a USB-C port. So I might get a dock and leave it connected. That way I don’t have to keep plugging it in every time I want to use it. Overall, I think it’s a great upgrade to the small one I previously had, and I am very happy to have and use this one. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a tablet that won’t break your bank.

PERFECT BEGINNERS ART TABLET. I bought this tablet for myself a couple months ago, and recently bought it for my boyfriend. This is THE perfect beginners tablet for anyone. The pen is easy to use and the short cuts are perfect, i can take this anywhere because it is the perfect size. The app you download is easy to use, and shortcuts are easy to apply. If anyone uses this on PC and want a free drawing app, I would recommend using Krita, easy short cuts and supports the pen pressure on the tablet.
Only $26. Got my first tablet when I was 12, a Wacom, was expensive. Then wanted a cintiq, $1000 was too much.. found Huion, got their larger model size a long time ago, then upgraded to a huion 1080+ pro, I still use it at home for larger projects- that was only $300-$400 and the quality and build is amazing.Needed something more lightweight, portable so I saw this and decided to buy it. I also got a MacBook Air I saw on sale, decided to pair these 2 together and it’s great! I use clip studio paint the older version. Beginner, pro, it doesn’t matter, it will get the job done, plug and play easy, download the right driver and you’re golden. The buttons all work and the flow is 10/10 for me.Now that im older I don’t care about name brand stuff, it genuinely relies on you as an artist to use the tools you have in the budget you want. Thank you huion you always gonna be my go to brand for tablets
Very good basic tablet. Works well, good price, good pen tracking, easy to download software and program buttons
