Great on my short haired cat. I bought this intending to use it on my long-haired cat that we just adopted. She sheds an awful lot, leaving big clumps on the carpet after she sits down. As soon as I got this package I ripped it open and pulled the comb out to try it on on her. I really wanted it to work for her, but to be honest it didn’t really do much. This could be because of the length of her hair, or maybe just because her long hair is also very, very fine. Either way, I was a little sad that it wasn’t the miracle worker I was hoping it would be.Because of a review I had read before I bought the brush, I thought that maybe I would have better luck on one of my shorthaired cats. On her it worked amazingly well! Fur was coming out like crazy. She sheds a fair amount-not a lot, but enough so you get a few of her hairs on you if you pick her up. I used short strokes and basically had to pull the fur out after every stroke because so much was coming off! I made a mental effort not to stay in one spot for too long because I didn’t want to irritate her skin, but she seemed to be loving it.This might be a little gross, but there was enough of her hair after just one short brushing that when rolled into a tight, compacted ball of felt like texture, it was about the size of a golf ball. My S.O. did this for fun-and now the cat plays with it as if it were one of her fuzzy ball toys. Weird!It’s a really nice and sturdy comb. It feels like very strong, not cheap plastic on the handle. The actual metal comb part has this plastic cover to put on it so that it is protected when not in use. It’s got a little place at the bottom where you could put a string through if you wanted to hang it someplace. I actually keep the brush near my coffee table so that I can brush my babies with short hair when they jump up on my lap. I find myself getting distracted by how fun it is to comb them now, to the point where I will not even notice what is happening on the TV show I’m watching.Anyway, I’m giving this comb 4 stars and not five because it did not really do anything on my long-haired cat. But it did such a great job on my shorthaired cat that it definitely deserved more than 3 stars.I apologize if there are any spelling or grammatical errors in my review, I’m doing this on my phone.
Dog Loves this brush. She loves standing while we brush this over her short, smooth and super dense fur. She even turns a little when she thinks I’m about to stop so I keep brushing in the new spot, and turns to the other side so she gets a complete massage. It holds her short, smooth hair on the metal until I pull it off. Easy to pull off in one clump then continue. Problems with flying hair everywhere are greatly diminished. Great product. Bought it once before, someone “borrowed” it and didn’t give it back. It’s worth buying again.
smaller than I thought. This tool does work however I thought it would be larger with more extension of the teeth, It doesn’t rake all the hair like the Furminator my friend bought. I have a Border Collie, so her hair is long, I will keep this because it is too much trouble to return but I will be buying a Furminator.
Amazing tool. DakPets Pet Grooming Brush is a game changer! I have 2 dogs and 3 cats and even though I brushed them regularly I simply could NOT keep ahead of the hair. Hair Hair Everywhere, then my sister convinced me to buy this tool. I don’t know why it’s called a brush because it is not- it’s a comb. Call it a brush or comb, it doesn’t matter because all that matters is… it works! The cat’s see me getting the comb out and they race over to be brushed/combed. It’s hard to say who likes this tool more- Me? my husband? or the animals? If you have pet hair rolling across your floor or flying through the air, buy it, buy it today–you will not be sorry.
My cat loves it. Every time I use this brush on my cat, she sits/ lays and starts to pur! This brush is not scratchy on her skin while it’s getting all of the hair. There is no release feature but the hair comes very easily out of the “blade”. The brush doesn’t hold a lot of hair, but it gets the job done! I’ve been brushing my cat until I get 2 brush fulls of hair and you can see the difference!
Made German Shepherd Look Great. This little tool got all of the excess fur our German Shepherd was unable to shed. There were literally balls of fur that looked like tumbleweed every where. Now, her fur looks so sleek and groomed, she hardly sheds. She really likes this comb too. She lays still while we comb her. I think it’s relaxing for her.
Incredible product. I wasn’t sure this was the right product for me since I’ve tried other brands with no good results. I asked a question on Amazon and i got amazing feedback from customers and i was surprised with a replied from the seller! So first of all.. thank to everyone who replied my question!It’s amazing! I have 2 huskies and I can say it ABSOLUTELY WORKS on them!!!It’s very easy to use and clean!The handle so far so good for me since I have arthritis in my hands. no pain at all for handling it.
Wow. I got this because I felt my 3 cats were shedding a lot and the never ending battle of vacuuming fur was starting to get to me. I had a couple brushes I would use but felt they didn’t do as good of a job I wanted.Well I just got this delivered and decided to give the cats a brush. First of all, it got off A LOT OF FUR!! Yay! (See picture) That’s less fur getting everywhere else. And surprisingly, all 3 of them really liked how this brush felt. Usually all 3 get bored/overstimulated within a minute and leave. But once they felt this one the purrs started and they would just sit/lay down and let me brush away. Funny enough the cat who dialikes being brushed the most actually liked this the best out of the 3. So that’s nice they like it and stick around so I don’t have to wrestle them.Final point, this does TRIM their fur so I can’t use it too much or else it’ll actually start trimming vs. deshedding BUT it does a great job of removing that undercoat and they all are so soft and look great. I’ll definitely use this every once in while to get that excess fur off of them and help their shedding process.Overall, a great purr-chase! (Sorry not sorry)

If you want grooming to go easily, this is the tool for you. I have a lab-chow mix that weighs 120 lbs. He never stands still for any type of grooming, but when I use this deshedding device, my dog loves it! I’ve even used it on my cat, and she is a touch-me-not. This tool is well-made and sturdy. The tines are stainless steel so it won’t rust, even while being used after bathing your pet. The handle is ergonomic and not too large, so even younger pet lovers can contribute to the family pet’s grooming. Get one. You won’t be disappointed.
Works great for my cat. I have a short-haired cat who sheds constantly. This brush has removed a lot of the loose excess fur, and its working well to reduce shedding. My cat also loves the experience of being brushed!
Works Great. This works great! It gets a lot of my cats under coat while brushing and helps with the shedding. My cats seem to enjoy it as well. It’s well made and a great value. I’d recommend.
Works okay, probably best for long hair dogs. While this did remove loose hair from my dog, it wasn’t as satisfying as the pics/videos posted by those with longer hair pets. We have a basenji mix, so pretty short hair. I was surprised it took off as much as it did, but again, not the mountains of hair others get off their Goldens or Aussies. She seemed to really enjoy being combed though! It definitely gave her a doggy spa experience and she was making little groans and soft “woos,” which was adorable. Anyway, it’s a great product, very sturdy, and will get the loose hair off without any issue.
