  1. Well designed wonderful snow cone machine. Oh sooo good! I have wanted a snowcone for years, and a good machine to bring back those memories of ice bliss! So I got this-I’m in love! This thing came well packed, and works so good! It’s easy to use and clean, and even looks so cool! It shaves the ice just like I remember from the past, and comes with a scoop that is the perfect size to scoop the ice to the cone. It has a flip down snow cone holder that I did not fully appreciate until I needed to put the snow cone down! It comes with good quality plastic cones, and some paper ones. The only problem I had was trying to decide which flavor I wanted! You will need to buy the syrup separately. And I tried to stack the ice too high on the cone like an icecream cone, that did not work out too well. Now I know why I have never seen one like that-the ice falls when you go to eat it. This this is seriously fun, and makes the snow cones fast with a large holder for the ice. If you want a good machine without spending hundreds, this is it!

  2. A bit fragile. My GF eats crushed ice as her major hydration. I kept getting more daily from this or that gas station. This will be a money saver in gasoline. (Huh, my ESG score — if I had one — has just gone up — sort of.)Now this shaved ice satisfies even better. The weak point is the fold down tray on the side for holding conical cups. She isn’t going to use them anyway. We use 9 oz cups which have a flat bottom.I can’t quite figure out those conical cups. You can’t put them down. I suppose there are some sort of holders, but none were supplied with the machine. But now on the positives. There are some recipes. My GF sometimes likes to drink her favorite coffee creamer straight. Inspired by their recipe for iced coffee I suggested that she drink it over shaved ice.I like the triple safety switches. You can’t chop a finger no matter how hard you exert yourself.Cuisinart is keeping up the reputation of their name with this machine.

  3. I like it a lot, but I don’t love it. Honest review from a real person with no incentive. I spent a LOT of time reading online reviews before purchasing this snow cone maker. I ruled out other snow cone makers/shavers that had a spout with a dish because I didn’t want a mess. I ruled out the ones with the dishes where you have to freeze the water first and only those dishes fit in the machine and make just 1 snow cone.I like that I can just put ice cubes in the shute without a “mold”. And I like that it is Cuisinart brand. That was definitely a factor.Based on reviews, I was expecting it to be much louder than it is. I’ve had blenders that are much louder. It is by no means quiet, but it is not so loud that someone can’t hear the tv in the next room.I WAS hoping it would produce snowy, fluffy ice. It is close, but it does not. It produces ice crystals about the size of himalayan salt granules, but since it is ice, it melts quickly. it does have to be chewed right out of the cone or sucked until it melts. It is VERY easy to clean the machine and get started. Wipe down the main unit, wash the removable bin, scooper and reusable cones with soap and water.I love that it has a catch bin; however, the inside edges are grooved with a 1” “margin” on the inside, so the scoop can’t get the ice there. I have to remove the bin and pour the remaining ice into the scoop. Not a big deal, but a flat bin would be easier.I also love that it comes with a few reusable cones. The paper cones were smushed a bit even though they were packaged inside the plastic cones. The 4 cone holders on either side are very convenient.Based on reviews, I was also worried about the plastic “plunger”. I get why it’s plastic. It absorbs the vibrations of the crushing.I put 6-8 ice cubes in the chute to make 1 cone. That is the capacity of the chute, but the bin can hold multiple rounds of 8 ice cubes. With the chute open. I flip the switch on. There is a safety mechanism so it doesn’t do anything until you flip the plunger lever over so the chute is covered. Then it starts crushing ice. It only requires gentle pressure to push the cubes down, so I am not concerned about the plastic “plunger/lever” breaking as some reviewers thought might happen. The scooper makes a perfectly rounded cone. I wish it came with some sample syrup flavors. I had to buy those separately. There are a few recipes in the instruction booklet, so you can make your own flavors with powdered drink mixes, fruit juice, etc. or just eat it plain. This is a great, refreshing alternative to ice cream. I used to freeze water in ice cube trays and set a timer for an hour to eat ice while it was still thin and chewable. This is so much better! Glad I got it for 32% off on Prime Day. $53 is a good price. I probably would not buy it at $75.

  6. Grinds up ice fast. I didn’t know if I was going to like this. It is kind of big on my kitchen counter as I don’t have lots of room. But I found a great place to store it & so far in the two weeks or so we’ve had it I’ve used it 7 or 8 times. It’s really easy to use, it grinds up ice quickly and makes small perfect sized icey pieces. The paper cones it comes with are horrible and leaky & get very squishy for small hands so either use cups or other things for the snow cones. I love this. I have a warranty on it, thank goodness, just incase something happens. But so far I totally love it.

  7. Nice and easy to use. Nice snow cone machine. The shaved ice is a little bigger then I would like. So it’s crunchy. But it’s really nice and easy use. We keep it on our prep table and just move it over to plug in when we need it. Lightweight. Nice tray underneath to catch the ice. Little side holders for the cones. I’ve been using small cups instead. Which works great. Love the little scoop that comes with. Just wish it would shave smaller pieces. Otherwise perfect.

  8. A Summer Must Have. This is not shaved ice, but I still like it a lot.I bought this for my son’s 11th birthday last month. I had rented one 2 yrs ago for his party and decided to just by one for the same price as renting one this year. This model is stylish, easy to use, easy to clean, and I love the fold down holders. We have used it at least 2-3 times a week since purchasing.Side tips, make your own syrup, 1 packet of Kool-Aid, 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring to boil, cool, then pour into plastic squeezable condiment bottle from dollar tree, they come 2 to a pack. They also have cute ice cream bowls that work great for snow cones!Last tip, the longer the ice sits in the container the better it holds its shape.

  9. Very nice. Purchased for end of summer party for the young children at our church. This was a huge hit. It was a very hot evening of water fun with meal followed by Snow Cones. While children were out playing in the water we prepared the cnow cones & put in plastic cups (easier for young children than the cone shaped paper cones). We put them in the freezer so they didn’t melt. After children came in to eat we took the cups out of the freezer (so the ice would not be frozen to hard). After they finished eating their food they formed a line & picked what flavor syrup (we had both sugar & sugar free syrup). Their favorite flavor was cotton candy flavor. This machine helped turn a very nice event into a wonderful memorable event.

  10. Fun machine even for adults. It has been a hot summer where I live and a cool snow cone is refreshing. This machine is so easy to set up and use and found that two large ice cubes will make enough shaved ice for one cone. The plastic cups that come with this can be used alone or I put paper cones inside as those always tend to either leak or get soggy before finishing cone. But inside plastic one works great. The scoup works well especially to put a rounded top though it is good to do that over sink. And enough left for my dog to enjoy the shaved ice too! Syrup from Amazon very good but anyone who has to watch sugar should note most of these are 20% of daily sugar so prediabetic and diabetic may want to find syrup with less sugar. All told I am very happy with this purchase. I am enjoying it and now my children and grandchildren will enjoy when come to visit.Ok now I feel bit stupid but perhaps others may run into same problem. Found that after use best to leave the ice tray out to dry. I did that and then when making another found machine would not turn on. Thought maybe circuit breaker but then realized I had not put the tray back in. A safety feature obviously. Just in case you run into this good to know.

  12. Ice Ice Baby. Easy to set up, and easy to clean! 100% durable for price value, and noise isn’t as loud as other ones I’ve had. Easy to use and fast. If someone loves shaved ice this is the gift for them. My grandbaby loves plan shaved ice!

  13. Easy to use. Love this product. It was fun and easy to use. The kids and the young in heart enjoyed the snowcones at our church picnic.Thumbs up for sure!

  14. Works like a charm. I love love love this snow cone machine. I had a hand crank one for the longest time but I got tired of the bowls in my freezer (ice had to be a certain size to fit in the shaver) and the turn crank was work. If my daughters and I both wanted an icee, my arm got tired turning the crank. This machine is SO easy to make and uses ice cubes made by my ice maker in the freezer. I would defiantly recommend this machine.

  15. It does it’s job. My only complaint is the ice is more in chips than shaved. That could also be the ice I am using. It does make them pretty small and works well.
