The Comparison You Were Looking For. Like you, I was searching for a less heavy foundation to wear every day–you know, something that still has minimal to light coverage but doesn’t look too ‘heavy baked.’Amazon of course recommend me to two products: (1) CG Smoothers and (2) CG Clean Matte BB Creams. So I bought both and compared, so you don’t have to…Please note, I’m a 30 year old mom still suffering will occasional breakouts and uneven skintone. Nothing new, just life…I normally wear the following;- Revlon Colorstay foundation in 150, Buff,- Revlon Colorstay Powder in 830, light/medium- Maybelline FitMe Powder in 110, Porcelain1) CG Smoothers- 805 Fair to LightThe consistency of this product is really smooth and light, more moisturising than tinting. Very light coverage, a little goes a long way, but also doesn’t feel heavy on your face. I love that the color is true and doesnt oxydize. You definitely however need a setting powder to refresh every now and again. (4.5/5 stars)2)CG Clean Matte BB Creams.It’s a very dense BB cream, it’s similar consistency to sunscreen, heavy. It also has a very heavy sunscreen odor to it too. However it’s medium coverage and very matte—keeping your face shine free all day.It’s not very blendable, and you need a lot of product. Please note: this product does oxydize and gets darker. (3/5 stars)
Lightweight tinted moisturizer. This is my new summer go-to “foundation”. It is a lightweight tinted moisturizer – not much coverage, but good SPF.
Great moisturizer. Really liked it as a moisturizer/sunscreen option. Definitely more the no makeup/makeup look. It’s very minimal coverage but it wears really nicely and makes my skin feel great. Would be good for under a foundation, or if you want something just simple and easy.
Great all-in-one product for a minimal makeup look. I’ve used this product for years and hope they never stop making it! You get sunscreen, moisturizer, AND sheer, light coverage all in one product. I do minimal makeup most days, and this is perfect for me, even at age 60, when my complexion is not so young and fresh any more. It provides just enough coverage to even out my skin tone and provides a nice dewy glow. My skin feels clean and fresh and not “made up.” I can dab on a little foundation over it when I want a more full makeup look, but most of the time this is all I use.
A bit oily. I love this product except it makes your skin a bit oily.
Very pretty. I am 52 and my skin is less oily. I was using the IT cosmetics matte cc cream, and it was looking a little dry on me. So, I use this and then just add a tiny bit of IT Cosmetics matte cc cream for more coverage. It looks so much better now.
Light/Medium (Too Light). To light for my skin tone I gave it to my 14 year old granddaughter. Otherwise I liked it, used to use it all the time, then I switched to a different brand… I’ll go back to that brand once again because I know the shade is perfect for me 🙂
Love this tinted moisturizer. I have used this Cover Girl tinted moisturizer for years as an alternative to liquid foundation. It hydrated my skin and ads a hint of color to even out my complexion without a heavy look. I mix colors sometimes to get the perfect tint and also use it as a concealer on age spots and blemishes. SPF is a bonus for sun protection. Good value for this product that is hard to find in stores any longer.

A Must. This product is an absolute must for me. I use it before applying my foundation or on its own for a lighter make up day. Goes on smooth and is great for normal to dry skin. Because it’s so light, it is a versatile tone match whether it’sWinter or Summer.

Love Lightweight Tinted Moisturer. I love this lightweight tinted moisturer with spf. I must: I have worn it instead of foundation for two decades! It gives a soft, even, dewy look plus sun protection. I apply it after my Olay moisturizer with 25 spf for added protection from developing age spots.
Light Coverage – Soft, Glowing Skin. I don’t like makeup and I rarely ever wear it. But now that I’m in my mid-40s, I’m realizing I need to do better with skincare, so I was looking for a moisturizer with SPF and came across several of the tinted BB creams. After reviewing several, I decided to give this one a try as the pictures of people using the “Light to Medium” seemed to have a similar skin tone as I do.The “Light to Medium” shade perfectly matches my skin. No one can tell that I have this on, unlike with other makeup. My partner and friends had no idea until I told them and they said they couldn’t tell.I am really happy with it so far! I’ve been using it for two days and I can feel how soft my skin is. The coverage is very light, so it’s not going to do major color correction, but it does seem like it gives my skin a nice glow and covers up some lighter marks on my face (not freckles, moles or darker spots). Once it dries, I can touch my face and not feel like a bunch of makeup is coming off on my fingers, which is one of the things I dislike about wearing a non-powder foundation.Yesterday, I put the moisturizer on twice as I was going to be out in the sun for a couple of hours and didn’t want to get sun burned. I was contemplating putting a different evening cream after my shower, but my skin was still so soft from using the CoverGirl moisturizer twice that I didn’t even bother with the night cream.I do have an oily T-Zone, so if I notice any major breakouts or anything weird, I’ll come back and update this review, but so far, I really love this product and will buy more of it. 🙂

SPF bb cream. I wanted a cream to use to implement into my makeup routine that has spf! This product was exactly what I needed! It’s light and covers well!

Good for all ages -great product. This provides moisture, a little glow and some coverage as well as sunscreen SPF 21. It looks natural.Use alone after washing or can use under a moisturizer. Has practically no scent and is good for sensitive skin like mine. It does not clog pores or cause a breakout! Love this product and have used it for years I’m so happy Amazon carries it because the stores run out of this often. Also I should mention that I use the lighter shade, “fair to light” for under my eyes and areas I want to highlight.
Lightweight, subtle color, spf 21 is great for fair skinned brunette. This is my every day go-to moisturizer. The fair is perfect for my skin and the spf is so necessary for every day, not just summer. The cost is low for the lightweight cover and sunscreen. I use a pressed powder over it when I need to wear a full face makeup, but most days this is enough, when lipstick and light eye makeup is added. Goes on lightly, no noticeable smell, a great color for fair skinned brunettes, can be used as a foundation under a powder finish.
