The Review You Were Looking For. Like you, I was searching for a less heavy foundation to wear every day–you know, something that still has minimal to light coverage but doesn’t look too ‘heavy baked.’Amazon of course recommend me to two products: (1) CG Smoothers and (2) CG Clean Matte BB Creams. So I bought both and compared, so you don’t have to…Please note, I’m a 30 year old mom still suffering will occasional breakouts and uneven skintone. Nothing new, just life…I normally wear the following;- Revlon Colorstay foundation in 150, Buff,- Maybelline FitMe Powder in 110, Porcelain1) CG Smoothers- 805 Fair to LightThe consistency of this product is really smooth and light, more moisturising than tinting. Very light coverage, a little goes a long way, but also doesn’t feel heavy on your face. I love that the color is true and doesnt oxydize. You definitely however need a setting powder to refresh every now and again. (4.5/5 stars)2)CG Clean Matte BB Creams.It’s a very dense BB cream, it’s similar consistency to sunscreen, heavy. It also has a very heavy sunscreen odor to it too. However it’s medium coverage and very matte—keeping your face shine free all day.It’s not very blendable, and you need a lot of product. Please note: this product does oxydize and gets darker. It’s more medium toned than Fair and I do not recommend it for people with dry skin (3/5 stars)
Awesome BB cream. I have been experimenting with different foundations/bb creams lately because I wanted something lighter that was not going to break me out. I LOVE L’oreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation, but find that it upsets my skin a bit.My skin is very very sensitive to products and will break out after wearing a product just ONE time. Although this sucks, it also is very useful in helping me quickly eliminate products that will or will not work for me. For example, I tried the Maybelline Fit me Foundation (it has a TON of amazing reviews). The finish was flawless and really nice, but after wearing it for the first time for a few hours, my skin had broken out ALL OVER. My skin was completely clear that morning when I applied the foundation.So now on to my review of this bb cream: I ordered the Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream based off of all the positive reviews. Here are the highlights:-I’ve worn this several times already ALL DAY and my skin has not broken out once.-I apply this with a slightly damp beauty blender and while the finish is not exactly matte, it’s beautiful. It doesn’t even look like you’re wearing makeup; it dries to a soft dewy matte finish (if that’s a thing!) I DO wear Maybelline Blur primer underneath.-Again, this DOES NOT LOOK LIKE MAKEUP ON YOUR SKIN! Very very natural finish all day.-Did not prevent my face from getting oily throughout the day, but it’s fine, I just blot. The finish still looked natural and healthy all day; no caking, no oxidation. The staying power is impressive given that it’s just a bb cream.-The coverage is about light/medium. If you have a ton of blemishes you are trying to cover, you will likely need a lot of concealer.-I was really upset that there were only so few color options available, so I bought 3 of them (light, medium and deep) so that I can blend my own color depending on how tan I am. The darker colors are very warm, so I blend in a little bit of LA Girl Blue Pigment. This stuff is awesome!-Even though there are very few shade options, I realized that since this is not a full coverage foundation the colors just blend in nicely with your skin tone as long as you selected a close enough match to your color. So don’t stress too much about the color choice and buy multiple colors if needed and blend your own custom color.Overall, this is an amazing bb cream and I think I will replace my L’oreal foundation. I LOVE that it looks like I’m not wearing makeup and the fact that my face doesn’t have pimples all over it at the end of the day when I wash this off is just awesome! Definitely worth a try!!
Nice, easy to use, moisturizing. Feels: nice! Dries to a nice, even texture.Moisturizing: yes! Does a good job of being a non-greasy moisturizer.Coverage: Decent, sheer, and what you would expect from a tint (so not ultra coverage). Does a good job with pores, too.Color: a bit redder than expected. The light one is too light for me and the light/med gives a bit of the “goldfish” look. Might need to get 2 and mix the colors since there are so few options.
Lightweight/Perfect Coverage. I’ve bought this product over and over for months now. I am early 40s and I have maturing facial skin that my face does not do well with heavy creams/foundations and powders. This is lightweight and gives perfect coverage everytime. It’s not oily which goes perfect with my skin type since I don’t apply powders. I apply with a sponge. Great product!
Men, use this. I’m a 40 somthing bald guy with sensitive skin that can get angry easily. I use bb cream to blur out some of the visible irritation and sun damage. The consistency of this stuff is great, it’s not greasy, it doesn’t add shine and it settles nicely into the skin. Guys, here’s what you do…1. Wash and shave like you normally do (please tell me you wash your face).2. Add your moisturizer and/or sunscreen (Just do it, it’s one step and keeps you from looking like a leather bag).3. After products from step 2 have settled in, apply the bb cream. I usually just do some dots along my forehead and a few on each cheek, but you can also apply to your fingers. Start with a small amount, you can add more if you need to.4. Gently rub or pat it in evenly with your fingers, covering your skin and rubbing out away from your face towards your hairline, ears, and neck (that’s called blending fellas). If you see any blobs or lines, pat them with your fingers and they’ll fade away like the innocence of your youth.5. Look in the mirror a few minutes later and admire your handsome complexion.
Purchase review. I liked this Matte BB cream, I have oily skin but this bb cream helps me to have my face matte for more than 5 hours. It is very light and covers 45% of facial imperfections. My left area has it and you can see the difference.

Amazing. The fact that I usually wait for Walgreens or cvs to have buy 1 get 1 half off and still pay double for each ! To find this for half the price ! Upset I just found out ! I have oil yet dry skin I first use primer then apply this my skin is beautiful all day long !
It truly is matte. I liked how easy it was to put it on. I don’t like the way it went on over my nose without a sponge. It looked Cakey more dry than it should. Only using a make up sponge made it look better. As long as you don’t sweat, this works great.
Has a completely matte finish. Stays on well. The Finish is completely matte. Stays on throughout the day very lightweight for a BB cream, not greasy at all. The coverage is decent considering it’s a BB cream.
i LOVE this stuff. I seriously cannot believe the price of this stuff. Works just as well or even better than high-end foundations that usually run $50 and up. Super lightweight, not greasy, nice and moisturizing (no flaky skin!), and gives my skin such a soft finish – not caky at all. Feels like I’m wearing nothing.. which is what I LOVE. I usually finish with a translucent powder to kind of “seal it in” but not always. It works great on its own. Get it!!!!
Buy it if you have oily skin. I feel completely comfortable using this product. I even apply it with my hands and then blend it with a brush or sponge. I must say I’ve been surprised by how lightweight it feels.
Good coverage. I like that this foundation isn’t super heavy or greasy. It feels lightweight and still gives good coverage. It’s important to match the right shade of your skin though
Oil Control. I like the coverage, it’s light weight, oil control is better then the Fit Me and Il makiage. I have very oily skin and it’s hard to find a foundation that doesn’t shift or cause more oil
Mild pigment nice feel. I like the product has no scent since I’m very sensitive. It doesn’t cover but it does even the tone of your face. It feels light. I like it
