Where Have You Been. I’m an Asian with oily and acne prone skin. I’ve been using Holika Holika Pore Clearing Petit BB Cream for the past few years and was looking for something better. As much as I like how Holika Holika has a pretty high SPF and tea tree oil which is beneficial for my skin, it does have a grey undertone that makes me look sickly and also makes my face look like a greasy mess after a few hours.I figured that BB cream that contains any SPF will be too greasy for me no matter if it’s marketed towards mattifying or for oily skin. In my search to find a BB cream without SPF, I found Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream for Oily Skin purely by accident. I figured that if this doesn’t work then oh well, I’ll go back to my normal BB cream and let the search continues. Turns out that Covergirl shades match my skin tone perfectly (similar to Holika Holika without the grey undertone) and it’s cheap.My routine: Trader Joe’s Rose Water Toner, Secret Key Aloe Soothing Toner mix with TO Squalene, Benton Snail Bee Essence mix with Vit C, TO Salicylic Acid, Mizon Snail Ampoule mix with TO Niacinamide, Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+/PA++++, Covergirl BB Cream, and a light dust of translucent powder.This cream is very buildable and has medium coverage. It does dry fairly quickly and that’s when a damp beauty blender comes in handy. I found that it’s mattifying but not drying, and most importantly I only need to blot my face maybe once or twice a day now. I think the key is to use a separate SPF.I’m very happy with this product so far and will definitely repurchase again.

Nothing new, just life…I normally wear the following;- Revlon Colorstay foundation in 150, Buff,- Maybelline FitMe Powder in 110, Porcelain1) CG Smoothers- 805 Fair to LightThe consistency of this product is really smooth and light, more moisturising than tinting. Very light coverage, a little goes a long way, but also doesn’t feel heavy on your face. I love that the color is true and doesnt oxydize. Best bargain BBcream + has coverage. SCENT: This bb cream definitely has that makeup smell, but I find it much more tolerable than the maybelline one. COLOR: I got medium dark. I would say I’m a typical brown tan color for south asians, but this color was slightly too dark for me until my face actually got some sun and tanned a bit. Something to be wary of. Medium would’ve been too light for me at any time. APPLICATION: I find this applied better with my fingers than with a sponge because the sponge absorbed some and/or made it a bit patchy. It blended seamlessly into my skin with my fingers, using some tapping motion on spots where I needed more coverage, and normal rubbing motions everywhere else. COVERAGE: It has pretty good coverage compared to the maybelline one. It covered my red pimple pretty easily, but still looked super natural. With concealer, it would probably look like a medium/full face. I don’t use concealer with it because it looks natural without + dont need it. FINISH: For a normal/sometimes oily skin type, it definitely helped mattify my face a little bit. I usually always have to set makeup with powder, but I didn’t with this because it was such a light application. A setting spray helped it look more alive but it looked fine without too. Only have worn it for max 8 hours at a time, so don’t know how it would last all day. By the end of the 8 hours, I was still semi-matte. OVERALL: I was on the fence about it at first, but for the price it’s definitely worth a shot. With a brush you could probably get more coverage, and if you mixed in a glow product with it I imagine it would look nice too.

Awesome BB cream. I have been experimenting with different foundations/bb creams lately because I wanted something lighter that was not going to break me out. I LOVE L’oreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation, but find that it upsets my skin a bit.My skin is very very sensitive to products and will break out after wearing a product just ONE time. Although this sucks, it also is very useful in helping me quickly eliminate products that will or will not work for me. For example, I tried the Maybelline Fit me Foundation (it has a TON of amazing reviews). The finish was flawless and really nice, but after wearing it for the first time for a few hours, my skin had broken out ALL OVER. My skin was completely clear that morning when I applied the foundation.So now on to my review of this bb cream: I ordered the Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream based off of all the positive reviews. Here are the highlights:-I’ve worn this several times already ALL DAY and my skin has not broken out once.-I apply this with a slightly damp beauty blender and while the finish is not exactly matte, it’s beautiful. It doesn’t even look like you’re wearing makeup; it dries to a soft dewy matte finish (if that’s a thing!) I DO wear Maybelline Blur primer underneath.-Again, this DOES NOT LOOK LIKE MAKEUP ON YOUR SKIN! Very very natural finish all day.-Did not prevent my face from getting oily throughout the day, but it’s fine, I just blot. The finish still looked natural and healthy all day; no caking, no oxidation. The staying power is impressive given that it’s just a bb cream.-The coverage is about light/medium. If you have a ton of blemishes you are trying to cover, you will likely need a lot of concealer.-I was really upset that there were only so few color options available, so I bought 3 of them (light, medium and deep) so that I can blend my own color depending on how tan I am. The darker colors are very warm, so I blend in a little bit of LA Girl Blue Pigment. This stuff is awesome!-Even though there are very few shade options, I realized that since this is not a full coverage foundation the colors just blend in nicely with your skin tone as long as you selected a close enough match to your color. So don’t stress too much about the color choice and buy multiple colors if needed and blend your own custom color.Overall, this is an amazing bb cream and I think I will replace my L’oreal foundation. I LOVE that it looks like I’m not wearing makeup and the fact that my face doesn’t have pimples all over it at the end of the day when I wash this off is just awesome! Definitely worth a try!!

Lightweight/Perfect Coverage. I’ve bought this product over and over for months now. I am early 40s and I have maturing facial skin that my face does not do well with heavy creams/foundations and powders. This is lightweight and gives perfect coverage everytime. It’s not oily which goes perfect with my skin type since I don’t apply powders. I apply with a sponge. Great product!

Purchase review. I liked this Matte BB cream, I have oily skin but this bb cream helps me to have my face matte for more than 5 hours. It is very light and covers 45% of facial imperfections. My left area has it and you can see the difference.

Amazing. The fact that I usually wait for Walgreens or cvs to have buy 1 get 1 half off and still pay double for each ! To find this for half the price ! Upset I just found out ! I have oil yet dry skin I first use primer then apply this my skin is beautiful all day long !

Has a completely matte finish. Stays on well. The Finish is completely matte. Stays on throughout the day very lightweight for a BB cream, not greasy at all. The coverage is decent considering it’s a BB cream.

Buy it if you have oily skin. I feel completely comfortable using this product. I even apply it with my hands and then blend it with a brush or sponge. I must say I’ve been surprised by how lightweight it feels.

Oil Control. I like the coverage, it’s light weight, oil control is better then the Fit Me and Il makiage. I have very oily skin and it’s hard to find a foundation that doesn’t shift or cause more oil

Exactly what i was looking for. Natural looking with decent coverage. Helps mattify the sunscreen I wear underneath and makes me look less dewy throughout the day which is what I wanted. Great product,

It looks like you have a naturally great glow and is not greasy or heavy. The only drawback is the lack spf and what I’ve found is it tends to shift a bit later on in the day so your skin appears a tiny bit less perfect. It also dries out your skin a bit, but overall it’s a great product.

I love the squeeze bottle and coverage. This is much better to me than the plain Clean liquid. It works a whole lot better and is not messy. It is thicker so it does not drip on my clothes. The color match was perfect.
