Not Quite the Miracle Product I’d Hoped It Would Be. I think this is a great product and I’ve seen how well it works on others, but I just haven’t had the same results myself. I have very fine hair that is prone to frizzing like crazy, it’s a very difficult texture to work with in the summer (well, pretty much all year it’s difficult to work with, but doubly so in the summer). I was so hoping this product would be a game changer, but I just can’t quite give it five stars.I used a good amount of the product and combed it all through my hair to make sure everything was saturated with it. I was pleasantly surprised that even when you use a lot of this product, it does not weigh your hair down or make it greasy AT ALL. That really shocked me, I thought for sure it would end up greasy from using that much. I rough dried my hair until it was about 80% dry and then switched over to a blow dry brush to get the heat/tension combo needed to achieve the smoothest end result. It was a definite improvement over my usual routine, but I still ended up with frizz as the day went on.I waited until I had washed my hair a few times before trying it again and have used it about four or five times now since I got it, it says the product lasts through 3-4 shampoos. While it does help on the subsequent washes until it washes out completely, it gets frizzier each day. I was curious what would happen if you used it daily, but since it does seem to be a product that coats and bonds to your hair (even lasting through shampooing) I was hestitant to try that. Even if it doesn’t feel like there’s anything on your hair, I didn’t want to end up with a bunch of build up that could end up making my hair feel or look weird. I did use it after washing only one time on a couple of days and didn’t notice that it made it feel weighted down, but also wasn’t any smoother.The other odd thing with this product is that there isn’t a scent to it, but it makes your hair smell strange. I have no idea how to describe the smell other than that it reminds me of the smell of people after being outside in the wind, it’s just not a pleasant scent and it’s so weird that there is no scent to the product but that’s how it makes your hair smell. I think I’m like most women in that I want my hair to smell nice, but this product is going to do the opposite. My hair doesn’t even smell like my shampoo after using this product, it’s like it wipes out that scent and replaces it with…..whatever you’d call this weird smell.I’ll use this until the bottle is gone, but I really don’t think it’s something I’d purchase again. I think it’s still overall a good product based on the results I did see and I would still recommend others to try it, I know I have a very difficult hair texture and I think it would be a great product for people with a different texture of hair, but it’s just not for me.
Frizz no more. This product is pretty amazing. I live in south Florida and I am no stranger to major frizzing. I would straighten my hair before leaving for work and just the walk from the parking lot to the entrance would cause complete frizzing …. As if I never even straightened. Ugh….So frustrating . I tried wow and …. Wow.I followed the instructions to a tee….. Applied to damp hair , blow dried with tension. The first time I used it , I was in and out of places in the rain ….. stayed completed straight.Now….. I do have to reactivate the product . For example …. I will frizz in the morning after walking the dogs but when I get home , I straighten….and It’s like I just put in the wow. It gets completely reactivated.I wash my hair every other day . I went a little over 2 weeks without having to reapply…. So more than 3 washes. Multiple friends have been having the same experience, so I would definitely say this is a winner
MY JAW IS ON THE FLOOR. You guys! I’ve never left a review on Amazon but I had to! I was going to a concert and needed my hair to hold up all day & night! I decided to give the product a proper go on my 4b/4c hair. I washed my hair, applied this liberally, blow dried, then flat ironed my hair. I did not add ANY additional product. No oils, hairspray, NOTHING. There is also heat protectant in this product although it isn’t displayed on the bottle (check the website). I waited outside for hours, I was sweating, dancing, it was hot and humid, and my hair did not revert!! When I got home after the concert my hair looked like I just did it. I’m SHOOK! If this product is used properly it will work! The key is clean freshly washed hair with minimal oils & moisture. No leave ins etc. so I suggest a wash and deep condition but once you rinse it out, add no other product but this. Thank me later 😘

Goodbye frizzy hair. Got thin, fine hair that gets frizzy easily regardless of humidity or having freshly washed hair. Spraying Dream Coat on damp towel dried hair and saturating my hair with dream coat and then blow drying using Revlon blow dry brush or regular blowdryer makes my hair so shiny! Not only is it shiny but the frizz is gone. My ends feel healthy and they look “piece-y” healthy. I don’t combine Dream Coat with anything per Chris Appleton’s recommendations. Dream Coat lasts in my hair after 2-3 hair washes. Definitely helps with keeping hair smooth, shiny, and healthy. No smell. Easy to spray on hair. Did not come with any leakage. Package was well wrapped with cellophane. The regular size bottle lasts me almost a year.
Transformative results when used correctly. I bought this back in Feb and tried it a few times with rather disappointing results. I thought maybe the directions were a little exaggerated and I used it like other leave in products. Sprayed it into my hair, combed through, applied my usual anti-frizz serum and then blow dried as usual flipping my hair upside down. THIS IS NOT IT!A fewWeeks ago I tried it again because my hair was just a frizzy dry mess. I decided to follow the directions to the letter.I sectioned my towel dried hair that was still pretty wet. Sprayed each section LIBERALLY, like, more than I thought I ever should and combed each section through before moving on to the next. I skipped any other product in my hair which kind of terrified me.I let air dry a bit before blow drying with my giant air brush, again, going in sections and using tension and high heat.I was literally floored by the results! My hair was soft, felt like silk, was SUPER smooth and INSANELY shiny!!!!Since using this product the right way, my super dry, frizzy, crunchy hair has been the complete opposite. My co-workers all thought I had gotten my hair done at a salon, had my hair colored, had my hair cut….none of which has happened.My hair is easier to style and curl, it has bounce and movement. It glistens without looking oily.My only criticism is the design of the bottle. It’s not very ergonomic and the nozzle spins and I’ll lose my grip on it throughout application. So, I transferred the product into a different spray bottle that is much easier to hold while spraying.The moral of this story ladies and gentlemen is that you MUST follow the directions!! I can’t stress that enough. When they call it a coat, they mean it. Each section of your hair needs to be coating thoroughly and absolutely saturated by the product. Just spraying it into your hair isn’t going to do the trick. You also need heat with tension. Just blow drying won’t do it.Yes it takes a bit more time, but the results in applying it and blow drying correctly are worth it.I don’t notice a scent really.My hair just smells clean. I also notice my hair doesn’t get as oily as quickly. I was also surprised that no other products were needed at all. No leave in condition, no oil, serum nothing.
Probably great for really frizzy hair, but my results were underwhelming. I bought the Color Wow Dream Coat spray after seeing some raving TikTok reviews. I was hoping to help smooth out my color treated frizzy ends but was left a little bit underwhelmed by the results..Let me start by saying my hair is naturally pretty smooth/soft, it’s just my damaged ends that could use a little TLC. I have super long, straight, thin/fine hair that is prone to getting oily, and bleached ombre ends. With this spray, you need to apply it pretty liberally to damp hair, then blow dry until 100% dry. I usually air-dry my hair so this was work for me, but I trusted the process.The results? My hair was definitely shiny and soft. My ends still were frizzy, but maybe a bit less. I’m guessing that since my damage is the cause of the frizz rather than having naturally frizzy hair, the results were a bit subtle. The spray smells nice, and it does make my hair kind of water resistant but also a bit heavy and my roots got greasy quicker than usual (again, this is probably just because of my hair type but idk).The price is a bit high for such a small bottle, but for some people with really frizzy hair it’s probably worth it. For me, it really wasn’t all that impressive. I’m giving this 4 stars because I can see how this would help some people, but it just wasn’t the right product for me specifically.Hope this helps!

Nice product. This is a nice spray and even if u don’t use it as recommended, (tension with a blow dryer), it still improves my hair for the day. Holds my hair in humidity but isn’t stiff like a hair spray. It makes my hair soft but not quite as shiny as advertised. Also, I wish it had a nice fragrance but it is odorless. Overall I do think it’s worth the cost.

Speechless. Let me explain. My hair is color treated and has been dry, frizzy and listless for months! Last week I asked a coworker who has absolutely beautiful hair what was her secret. She excitedly told me about this product and I’ll admit, I got it but didn’t expect much out of it. Well, I was sooo wrong! This product actually works! My hair is soft, shiny and smooth with zero frizz. I don’t know what is in this product but it works. I am definitely going to stock up, I just can’t believe how well it works and how long it lasts. It gives me the fresh from the salon look. There is no smell, no product residue just soft, shiny, smooth hair.
Soft frizz free hair. I already have pretty healthy & soft hair BUT after using a flat iron on a few spots, they were a bit damaged and every product I tried to help did nothing. UNTIL I tried this product. I notice a huge difference on the damaged pieces but also my hair overall is so incredibly silky and soft. I’ve used this product several times, about every 3 days. I notice less frizz on the top from blow drying. It was a great addition to my normal hair routine and will continue to purchase this.
This has me in an absolute choke hold. I got this during the Black Friday sales bc it is a little pricey for something I hadn’t tried and didn’t know if it would work.For reference, I have very curly hair that is fine and super dense, like I have a *ton* of hair. I’m mixed (black and white). Usually I wear it straight (although now I’m seriously considering getting the curly version) because I struggle to get my curls looking sleek and refined.Anyway, normally I add a few products like argan oil and leave in conditioner, wait for my hair to air dry partway, and then blow dry with the revlon blow dryer round brush thing (highly recommend that too btw). Then I follow up with my babyliss flat iron. Normally the blow out gives me the body and shape I want but it’s still a bit frizzier than I’d like, so I have to follow up with the flat iron, but that kills the beautiful bouncy blow out shape even if I add in waves. They fall within 20 mins. Idk. Then I finish with an ogx dry oil or the chi shine spray.This changed the whole game. You definitely need to saturate the hair with it. Like make sure your hair is wet with it. Comb it through to make sure it’s fully and evenly distributed. Then dry. It’s super weird for me (and I imagine most people) to blow dry soaking wet hair, and I’d normally never do that, but this somehow speeds up the dry time.I was able to achieve the silky smooth finish I get with my flat iron while maintaining the body from my blow out. I didn’t need to use the flat iron at all. You CAN use it to enhance the anti frizz effects – and I considered doing that – but I loved how it came out without using it. I finished with the chi shine spray which I probably didn’t even really need as it was already so shiny and sleek anyway. This is like what I get from a salon blow out. Pic attached.As for scent it doesn’t really smell like anything. But this stuff works if used correctly.
Hair is silky soft; less frizz. This stuff is a miracle worker especially if you live in hot, humid areas and have breakage. My one piece of advice is to apply it generously from root to tip for the most effective results. Great product!
