Exceeded expectations. I have thick thick hair. I was nervous when I seen the size and thought it would be able to get through my hair. I am a quick get ready kinda person. I don’t like to spend a lot of time in that area. I can make my hair look pretty amazing in 10 minutes. Heats up fast, curls fast. Hair feels healthier now that I upgraded. Definitely worth the price too
Always loved this straightener. I’ve used this brand since they were introduced and I’ve sampled others but this straightener is my favorite. For the price and quality and plug in upgrade over the last couple decades, I absolutely trust it’s going to work. I have a lot of hair that is fine and many baby fly aways. It’s fast and doesn’t make my hair look flat without volume. I would highly recommend this brand and product.
Decent flat iron. For the price I got it and how it curls it gets 4 stars. I don’t like that I can’t control the temperature or know how hot it gets at all. But other than that it’s great!
Love. Was concerned because a number of reviews talked about how hot it gets and no heat control. I have no issues at all. Heats up quickly. Doesn’t tangle hair. Cools down quickly. Love the plug and go aspect. Would buy again.
Average flat iron. It is hard to hold on to. If my hand slips a little forward I am touching the hot part.
As Expected. I had a chi straightener for almost 20 years that I’ve somehow misplaced or left behind on travel (cries). This one is exactly the same, obv a lot has changed since then in their design. The same gold colored ceramic plants, swivel cord connector, and heat retention I loved though. I don’t know why people are saying it’s poorly made or cheap. In my opinion it is not. I have medium thin wavy/frizzy hair and I use this to gain and sleek my hair, so maybe someone who has super thick very curly hair who’s trying to grab too much at once would have some issue with it but in that case they should section off smaller pieces of bar to work with. Even a heavier duty straightener will work better and require the same method. Any who I like this. The box is nice enough I can store it in there so that’s cool.
Works just as well as original-which still works after approximately 20 years. I bought this to replace an almost identical model made by this company that I have had for approximately 20 years. The original still works well and I only replaced it because a portion of the on/off switch broke off. I can still turn the original on/off switch, but thought I deserved a new one after all this time! This iron does not come with a lot of bells and whistles-you cannot adjust the temperature and there are no fancy lights/ electronics on it. The reason I love this product is because it gets hot very quickly and because it works well when traveling overseas. A lot of flat irons do not work overseas, even with adapters/converters. This one (at least my original one; I have not tried this new one yet) does. I am hopeful that this iron will last as long as my original one has!

A perfect price for this professional iron. I am a licensed hairstylist. This is a great go to hair iron for everyday use at home even though its a professionally used one. It curls beautifully and portable enough to take out of town also. Years ago you paid at least minimum $100 so this is a really great price. Jump on it yall!
The best straightener I have ever owned. Look no further! This is your next and last straightener. It heats up fast and is the smoothest straightening experience I have ever had. The cord is extra long and it does cool down quickly. Best straightener decision I have ever made.

Straightens hair faster than any iron I’ve tried. My original CHI broke after nearly 20 years and the off brand iron i replaced it with wasn’t cutting it. I was worried this one would be fake, Amazon and all. But after accidentally burning myself with it, I know this is an authentic CHI. Works so fast and heats up quickly. Saves me so much time in the morning.
Decent Hair Flat Iron. CHI is a good, dependable brand and their products reflect that. This flat iron does have some downsides-not being able to see the heat that it’s at and no way to adjust it is a big one-but for it’s price, it makes up with quality. The heated ceramic plates don’t pull on the hair and leaves it smooth and straight. I’d recommend this if you’re on a budget.

I have VERY thick hair. My dad has an Afro and my mom has straight hair, so I have a balance of both, being very wavy too extremely curly on any given day.This thing works great, even with very thick hair!I am shock as I’ve always used larger plates on hair straighteners I have purchased in the past. I was a little hesitant because I was reading the reviews and some of them were saying that it’s a fake item or that the cord gets tangled easily. The product works great for hair, straightening as well as curling. I’ve never been able to curl my hair with a hair straightener, EVER! I looked up a YouTube tutorial of how to do it with a 1 inch plate, like this item has, and as I followed the tutorial, it was super easy to achieve the perfect curl, and I was literally gasping in the mirror as the curl dropped. 360° swivel cord makes curling super easy! I don’t think it’s necessary to buy a heat glove, since the tips of this hair straightener definitely do get hot, the 360° swivel cord makes it so you can just turn the hair straightener with your right or left hand without using both to achieve the perfect curl.Totally recommend this product even if you have very thick hair! My hair is also colored and I use product in my hair and I didn’t notice anything on the plates after I was done. Once it cooled down, I did wipe down the plates with some vinegar, just to make sure that I’m not leaving product on the plates themselves. I had to get a new hair straightener, which is why I purchased this one, because I didn’t clean the last one good enough and my hair always smell burnt. There is only one heat setting ~ Which in this case is not a bad thing. I believe it said it would goes up to 375°, my other one had a couple different temperature settings the maximum 450 or 475°. Even with very thick hair straightener heats up to the amount that I need for my hair to become straighten, smooth or curly and smooth.
