Great, no hustle, convenient egg steamer. I bought this egg steamer when we were renovating our 40 year old kitchen, and I used it to prepare breakfast for my whole family every single day for a month. It was incredibly useful and easy to use even without a kitchen. I really highly recommend it.It’s small and compact (very easy to store), but it can hard boil up to 6 eggs. It takes about 15 minutes to get them hard boiled. The eggs taste great, and are easy to peal. No more issues with eggs cracking while boiling or keeping track of cooking time. This little thing beeps when the eggs are done. The only drawback is that you have to then turn it off, and put the eggs in cold water immediately to stop them from overcooking (which is an issue when you want soft boiled eggs, but not so much for hard boiled eggs). And these are hot when they’re done! Unfortunately this steamer doesn’t turn off automatically when the eggs are done, so you need to be within close enough proximity to hear the beeping, and turn it off.It’s easy to clean and easy to use (all you need to do is plug it in, and then unplug it to put it away). You only need to wipe the metal tray when you’re done using it, which is really easy; it takes less than a minute! I hate useless fancy kitchen gadgets that you never use because there is too much clean up or time involved in assembly, but I really like this thing. I would’ve never thought that I would find this useful (outside of the time when I had no working kitchen), but it really actually is. I’m pretty sure I’ll be using it a lot around Easter and with every day breakfast prep. Highly recommended!
Great for boiled eggs. My son loves to eat boiled eggs and so I got this thinking maybe it would be faster than boiling them on the stove. Plus I liked the omelet and poached egg options as well. I have not yet tried the omelet tray but I did try the poached egg and it didn’t do super great. The top of the egg was great but when I went to take it out of the little poaching tray the bottom half was completely raw still. I hesitated to try the boiled egg after that but was very pleasantly surprised. It does boiled eggs perfectly and much faster than boiling them on the stove. (about 10 min and they are done). Plus they seem to peel a lot easier using this as opposed to using the stove.Using it is super simple, just follow the instructions that come with it for the amount of water to add and press the button to turn it off. When it’s finished it beeps nice and loud so you don’t have to be in the same room to know when it’s done. Overall, I’m very happy with it for the boiled eggs alone and would still recommend it.
Chefman Egg-Maker. I use this solely for making hard-boiled eggs.I tried two iterations of egg steamers before selecting this one. This one was my choice for the following reasons:-the alert feature (for when the eggs are done) is not too loud or too soft. It stays in the alert mode until I shut off the machine. This is desirable to ensure the eggs do not get overcooked.-The measuring cup/egg piercing device is excellent and very easy to measure the correct amount of water and to pierce the eggs.-The lid is easy to remove and does not slip out of my hand when hot and damp from steam.-Although the egg tray handle does get hot, it is better than many. I just wet my fingers before quickly moving the tray into a bowl of cool water.The attributes that all such devices share in common include:-eggs cooked the doneness you want reliably-no splitting open of the eggs.-they make the cooked eggs always easier to peel. This may be related to piercing the eggs before cooking but this method has eliminated the frustration of trying to peel an egg and having egg stick to the shell. With this method, the shell easily separates from the egg.
I love this thing. This little wonder works great! It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and does a great job! The timer is loud so you don’t have to be nearby to hear it. I bought it mainly for hard boiling eggs and am thrilled with the results. I haven’t used the other features yet, but if they work the way the hard boil feature works, it will be amazing as well. Money well spent! I plan on buying this as a gift for my egg loving family and friends.
It’s a great invention. I love this thing and wish that I had found it sooner. It makes it so easy to boil eggs perfectly. No hassle or trouble.. you just add the water and put the eggs in place.. press the button and wait. I couldn’t be happier with this product.
Amazing for the price. Better than expected. Cooks eggs to your exact preference once you set the required amount of water. Overall very easy to use. Now we’ll see how long it lasts.
Amazingly useful product. This is one of those things I didn’t think I’d need and it turned out to be a game changer. My wife uses this daily to make the kids breakfast while she packs their lunch. It’s easy and fast, the kids get their protein, and clean up is simple. I have found that the water measurement between soft and medium is the sweet spot. Filling it up to soft is a little too soft. This is saving us a lot of water and time, too. No more having to boil water, carefully dropping in the eggs, or boiling and then resting … The eggs are literally done and peeled before a pot of water would even begin to boil. Game changer. Recommended. At the current price of $8 or less I want to buy several more just in case mine craps out.
works great, long cord, easy to use, easy to clean. We are very happy with this egg cooker. We eat LOTS of hard-boiled eggs. It does an excellent job of cooking them. The cord is a nice length — 30″. The stainless steel heating plate does a great job and is easy to clean — they suggest using some white vinegar when the plate is still warm, but we just wipe the heating plate off with a damp dishcloth once it has cooled. The alarm is fine — some have commented on it sounding like a security alarm — it sort of does (versus being a “buzz”) but it is not real loud, so this is fine with us.
Simple machine that works pretty well. Works pretty well but “jumbo eggs” don’t fit in it…All and all the egg cooker is a very simple easy to use easy to clean little machineBoiked eggs get very very hot and are hard to remove unless you run the cooked eggs under cold water in the little flimsy carrier tray …or let the eggs sit in the cooker for awhile.Annoying end of cooking cycle buzzer keeps going off until you turn it off.We use this little egg cooking gizmo pretty often.
Quick and Easy. No longer have to stand by the stove and wait four water to boil and boiled eggs come out perfect every time. Easy to peel.If I had one wish, it would be that it would turn off automatically. Once the buzzer/timer goes off, quickly turn it off or unplug it.

Good little egg cooker. Be sure to put water in bottom before placing cooking pans, so the pans do not adhere to water holder. We have made several batches of 6 boiled eggs. They make wonderful deviled eggs. I keep some boiled. for my husband to nibble on.. When the eggs are cooked, a buzzer sounds. Be sure to unplug this cooker. I used tongs to lift the eggs out and placed them in cold water. I peel them immediately for convenience sake. It is quick and fun to use this egg cooker. Omelets cook well also.
So easy & fast. Love how I can now cook 6-7 hard cooked eggs (or soft or medium) so fast with minimum mess or prep. Small and compact size fits well in my small kitchen. In fact I’m buying another one for my RV. I have also used the omelette and poached egg features. I put a little more water in for my poached eggs because I don’t like any watery whites. But the the yolk is nice & runny!
