  1. Like, it’s an acrylic brick. This thing is HEAVY! Like, it’s an acrylic brick. I have a glass vanity and so I am slightly concerned with the heft of this. With that said, it’s an excellent product. I would never, ever use it as picture, however. Even though it is quite weighted, that just looks like a disaster waiting to happen. Your eyeshadow would shatter for certain with the weight of the organizer hitting it should it fall.I use mine like a “drawer” of sorts. My glass vanity has a shelf and I put this on it and then pull it out when I need to select a palette. It works great. If the palettes are slim, you can fit two to a row.

  2. UPDATED. I really love this palette holder. I was using letter sorters, but they didn’t really fit my palette and I had to use too many. This keeps them all in one place, and pretty compact (for 10 palettes) It is sturdy acrylic, that will probably last forever. It fits the Large Z Palette perfectly and the MAC Pro Palettes (older slim version.) I wish it were about an inch wider so I could put my Viseart palettes together, but overall I am very happy. I read on the Alegory website they were coming out with an oversized & small palette organizer, so those might be worth picking up also to organize by size better. I love to look at pics to see what will fit into certain organizers, so I included a pic of mine. In case it is hard to tell, these are what palettes that are in it: (Front to Back) 1.Viseart, 2. Becca Champagne Glow, 3.Viseart & Hourglass Ambient Edit, 4.ABH Contour & Becca Afterglow, 5,6, & 7 are MAC Pro Palettes (old version) & Large Z Palette in last row. Hope this was helpful!Update: Added some new pics of some palettes people have been wondering if they fit. I honestly haven’t found a palette that WONT fit. Morphe palettes DO fit, they just have to lay on their side. I have found that if you put all of your palettes on their side you can fit WAY more in this organizer. I currently have 15 palettes fit in mine, so this has been very handy! I love having all my palettes at my fingertips, it really encourages me to use all of my palettes more instead of being in a drawer forgotten about. The new palettes im the pictures not listed above are the Anastasia Glow Kit, Too Faced Sweet Peach, MAC Pro Large single sided palette, Violet Voss Holy Grail Palette & Morphe Palettes in the back., the rest are on the list above.

  3. By far the BEST palette organizer I have found. This palette organizer is amazing! I have been looking for something to compactly contain and organize my eyeshadow palettes for easy access and this is absolutely perfect – much better than the DIY cd racks and letter holders I have seen others using. However, to get the most storage from this organizer I would recommend using it lying down, not standing up. Instead of placing the palettes in horizontally as shown in the item’s picture, after laying the organizer down I was able to place multiple palettes vertically in each compartment. I can fit 24 eyeshadow palettes of varying sizes using the 9 divisions provided. The dividers are also removable if more space per section is needed. Also, since the organizer is made out of very heavy duty, thick acrylic, I was concerned about it getting knocked over, which could be prevented by backing it against another vertical surface, but laying it down horizontally completely eliminated this issue. I highly, highly recommend getting this organizer if you’ve been looking for a better way to store your palettes, and this seller also has several other makeup organizers (for compacts, lipsticks, etc.) that also look great.

  4. Misleading photo, but great in the end. This is pictured as standing on it’s side, but the narrow side is not flat due to a beveled edge all the way around it and it would not stand flat that way; it would not be secure. Also it’s too shallow to use standing up as pictured, most palettes would be too wide to fit safely in it. If you lay it flat on it’s broad base though it’s great. You can then store pretty much any height palette in in securely. You can also use any width palette because the little shelves within it are removable. I was disappointed when I got it that I could not stand it up but once I adjusted it to lay flat I actually like it more.

  5. Great for flat display of tons of palettes, different sizes. Just received this palette organizer. Big thanks to all who reviewed it before – I would not have had the confidence to order it without your comments and photos. To anyone on the fence about it: the quality is good. I have it stacked with acrylic organizers from The Container Store, and while it doesn’t match exactly, it looks fine (check sizes carefully if you’re mixing brands, though!). Good weight to the exterior. The dividers are lighter, but totally acceptable. They slide in and out easily. One possible negative: I wouldn’t use it in the upright “bookcase” position as shown in the listing. Maybe your palette collection is different, but I have more square or oversized ones that would stick out way too far. But it’s a very nice size for laying on its back like a letter organizer. The removable dividers mean even my boxy Benefit sets can fit.Overall, highly recommend.
