On the expensive side but good. The old adage, “you get what you pay for” applies here. It’s quite expensive, but the dogs are not having reactions to it. I have two dogs with very temperamental stomachs. They like it, they eat it, and the ingredients don’t have many of the additives that other dog foods have. In fact, it was the only one I could find without an emulsifier. (This is a stabilizer or thickening agent) Many emulsifiers found in dog foods do irritate the stomach and intestines. Most dogs don’t seem to react to them, but mine visibly do. Twice when I switched dog foods they got something called hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. This is a severe irritation to the stomach and intestines, causing blood to come out both ends. Enough said. The product is working very well.

Super Impressed! 🐶loves❤️. My experience: I was hesitant to purchase this brand because of negative feedback and reviews. BUT, AMAZON delivery was awesome!! AND, the EXPIRATION date is 12/2025!! 2-1/2 years from now; it is April 2023–I think that is very acceptable!! 👏🏼👍🏼 I appreciate that because I do care very much about the expiration date. I want my dog to have the best quality food for his SENSITIVE tummy and SKIN issues. It was very appealing that this formula has pumpkin as an ingredient. I do add additional pumpkin digestive supplement (fruitables—pumpkin super blend) in his food along with a probiotic, which helps his stomach and 💩 stay healthy and firm. I am transitioning him slowly to this new Basics for Stomach and Skin AND his stomach, skin, and bowels have been great so far. We were using a prescription food, which is good but it is very expensive and I wanted to try this as it LESS expensive, BUT more importantly, it is FREE of wheat, corn, soy, chicken, dairy, egg, beef, artificial flavors AND preservatives—I love that!!!🙌🏼👏🏼🐶 yes, it does have carrageenan it, which I am not that happy or excited about. I do not know what form. And, I could do without! I going to contact the company and give my feedback. For now, I believe the good ingredient outweighs the carrageenan ingredient.Amazon has been great so far with providing great service! 🙏🏼

Texture changed. I have been purchasing this product a case at a time and with the last couple of cases the consistency became wetter and kind of goopy so that it’s stuck to my dog’s whiskers making them clumpy. I contacted the manufacturer to let them know and they responded. I changed to a different food which is taking some getting used to but the consistency is more solid so I can give it to her in chunks that she can pick up. I have to get ground because she doesn’t have many teeth left.

Restricted diet for doggie. I recently had my dog’s DNA tested for allergies and found that she was allergic to a lot of the things I had been feeding her (chicken, turkey, salmon, etc.), so I switched to this duck food. She seems to really like it. It hasn’t been long enough to find out that the switch will really help with her itching issues, but I am hopeful.

GREAT FOOD FOR YOUR DOG WITH DIGESTIVE PROBLEMS. This is a great option if you are tired of having to get a prescription based dog food for your dog with digestive problems. I just wish there were other places to buy this locally when you almost run out.
