ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I absolutely love this tinted sunscreen! I spent hours deciding which tinted mineral sunscreen to buy as my very first one. I am done with putting greasy chemical sunscreen on my face and now I also have my favourite tinted mineral sunscreen. When I chose this one to try it, I was not 100% sure about the shade – lighter vs darker (fair vs medium/tan). I chose tan and I am happy that I did. It literally looks like I put a foundation and a setting powder on my face! Bye bye make up for this summer. It is a nice glowing tan colour and the best part is that it sets completely dry and matte! I have a sensitive drier skin but I also have a bit oily T-zone and the chin area so I did not know what this is gonna do to my face. It is absolutely amazing because it is moisturizing, but light weight and perfect for oil control without drying your face. There is no crease, no oily face. it is just like a perfect soft foundation that makes you feel like you are not wearing anything on your face but you look nice when you peak at yourself in the mirror. How is it even possible that it ticks all the boxes. The bottle is actually bigger than I expected – another great surprise. I took a photo with the sunscreen on my hand on two different lights and on the left side of the hand I kept it a bit built up and the right side I massaged it into the skin and you cannot even see that it is on. If you are still deciding – JUST BUY IT, IT REALLY IS AMAZING
Australian gold vs Nuetrogena. Pros: matte, works amazingly as a makeup primer ( your makeup will last all day! In the heat!!!! Cons: will stain wash cloths, hard to remove double cleansing with a cleansing balm or oil will be required. Funny smell. In depth review:I was recently introduced to tinted mineral sunscreen after being diagnosed with actinic rosacea. Initially I learned about the nitrogen a mineral uv tint from Dr.Dray on YouTube. I have been using that one for several months but it only has an spf of 30, and when my dermatologist decided to put me on low dose isotretretinoin I was advised to move up to a minimum of spf 50. The only affordable option I found was this one and I’m so glad that I did! It slightly more expensive per tube than Nuetrogenas version but at 3 fluid ounces the tube is almost 3x bigger than Nuetrogenas 1.1 fluid oz tube making it way more cost effective and more effective over all due to the higher spf. I photographed the two to highlight the different consistencies The consistency of Australian gold is thicker but it applies weightlessly and has a natural semi castles matte finish that would work well for oily to combo skin, Nuetrogena is more fluid however definitely feels heavier on the skin and initially leaves a slight cast that takes a few minutes to melt into the skin and result in a sheer dewy/greasy finish. It would definitely be more suited toward severely dry skin. Despite being on the dryer side I still prefer the semi matte of the Australian gold! However it does continue drying out during wear. It wears really nicely under makeup. I believe this will be my staple sunscreen from now on But I will continue to use both as isotretinoin has been known to dry your skin out and the Nuetrogena may be better for severely dry days or colder weather.

Very Nice, Dries Matte to a Powdery Finish. I initially got the Medium-Tan shade, thinking it will have just enough tint to give me a little color, but it was way too dark for my skin tone, so I returned it and bought the Fair-Light shade from Target, which matches my skin nicely.I’m new to the tinted sunscreen idea and initially got a different brand but it felt too greasy, so I decided to try this one and am very satisfied with it. This Australian Gold one comes out like a cream and it dries almost to a powdery (matte) finish after a few minutes once applied. If you are fair-skinned, the Fair-Light has a soft tint and gives a natural look, almost like you’re wearing a light amount of foundation, but the Medium-Tan is several shades darker and it will definitely show up too dark for light skin tones.I applied it around my eyelids and had no problem with sensitivity on my eyes, even after wearing it for 7 hours outside on a very warm day- I was sweating (thogh not so much on my face) and I was pleasantly surprised that at the end of the day, the product still looked nice and matte on my face.I highly recommend this product if you like a non-greasy, matte sunscreen that’s gentle, especially around the eyes.I’ve never worn regular sunscreen too close to my eyes because it stings my eyes, but I tried it for the first time with this product and I had no eye sensitivity! I heard that mineral sunscreens are best for applying on the eyelids and this worked very well for me.It it unscented, but I could smell a very mild plant/botanical aroma, which I like. I can’t wear anything with fragrance on my face, so thank you for making it Unscented.

Me encanta es la segunda vez que lo compro
Applies smooth. I read a lot about this product before deciding to try it out. I loved my last sunscreen but I wanted a higher SPF. Overall this product is smooth and applies like foundation matte. It blends well on me without a white cast. It gives an illusion that I’m wearing makeup. It has no shine to it so it’s perfect for people with oily skin.. In winter I would have to use another sunscreen for moisture and shine. It states on the tube water resistant up to 80 mins; I wore this for hours WITHOUT reapplying, ( I work mainly indoors) later when I went to clean my face I noticed water just bounced off. I had to first remove this sunscreen as I remove makeup. Maybe it’s a good thing that this sunscreen stays put on your face for that long? It takes a good bit scrubbing to get it off at the end of the day, just FYI.
Good protection but. I have been using the Australian Gold Botanical SPF 50 Tinted Sunscreen since February. It does work protect well from the sun. However, I do not like the EWG SKin Deep rating for this one. It is a 7 out of 10 – which is not very good. The lower the number, the better.I am still on the hunt for a better alternative but since this one is my temporary sunscreen I am using it until I find a better scoring tinted sunscreen.Note: This sunscreen blends in well. I think the tint works well and could be somewhat a universal blend for most people. Can be used without foundation since it does provide a nice sheer tint BUT to me, it leaves a little greasy feel if you don’t use a powder. That was my second turn off but otherwise it does the job.
BEST TINTED SUNSCREEN FOR FAIR SKIN. I am quite fair, so always wear spf50 sunscreen. I prefer tinted sunscreen, since the days of perfect skin are over, and I’m not willing to wear foundation over sunscreen. The Australian Gold tinted sunscreen in Fair/Light is both light enough for my skin tone and, best of all, cruelty free! I only wish it had a less matte finish. I know it is the current style, but it is definitely aging. Moisturizer underneath helps, but there definitely isn’t a youthful glow.
My go-to base. This tinted sunscreen is my go-to for over a year now. My face is nearly the palest part of my body now, which is how I like it. No granny looking 32 year old over here! It does its job and even replaces my foundation. It’s thick, and stays on for several hours. Living in Bogota for 2 years, and being so close to the equator it was imperative for me to protect my skin. This product did just that. I keep spreading the word, and even got my younger sister hooked. 4.5 ⭐️ (-.5 because it’s VERY thick)
I can’t believe it. I thought I would not like this product, as I have a very hard time getting SPF that I love. I am a middle aged, white woman with pale, very dry skin. The ones I bought in the past either left a chalky white cast or settled into my wisdom lines. This product went on smooth and didn’t accentuate my laugh lines. I ordered the lightest color and it just adds a hint of color. This is exactly what I have been looking for. I will continue to use this.
This is one of the MOST Reasonable and absolutely one of the BEST sunscreens. OMG! I have bought and tried SO MANY sunscreens!!! Most are way to heavy on the skin, and leave such a shiny heavy oily sheen on the skin and make me sweat…I have bought this twice, and to date, it is hard to find anything better! It doesn’t feel awful on the face or heavy! And it sinks and melts into the skin, with no greasy residue. It’s lovely, almost like a foundation so makes my skin look better! And the 50 sunscreen makes me Feel protected. Make sure to use it at least 15-20 minutes before exposure to make sure it has completely dried down. Unlike other sunscreens it doesn’t make you sweat, clog your pores, it is completely comfortable!!! The only other that works for me but more than double the price for half the product is Supergoop Unseen. Out of the at least 30 different 50+ sunscreens I have tried this one is my top three for sure!
Tinted mineral sunscreen with a matte finish. Love the quality of this sunscreen, especially at this price point! It does not have the gritty, cakey, or sometimes greasy finish of many mineral sunscreens yet it is not drying to my mature, combination and tretinoin affected skin. It is very pigmented, and if I use the full 1/4 teaspoon amount it will look like I have heavy makeup on. What I have been doing is put on a Korean mineral sunscreen when I do my morning skincare routine, and put on a large pea size amount of Australian Gold just before heading outside. It seems to work well and protects my face.
The best tinted sunscreen. I have tried over 14 tinted sunscreens and this is by far the best one. SPF 50, blends easily, small amount of coverage and it’s a matte finish. The light/medium color is too dark for me in winter but will probably work in summer. I have the light color that I’ve worn year round. It has a mousse like texture that is thick but not heavy. The photo I posted compares the color and the texture to the physicians formula bb cream. They are the same color but the physicians formula is thinner and has more of a foundation feel and coverage as it’s a bb cream. So if you are wanting more of a foundation look, the physicians formula is better, but if you are wanting a lighter coverage and higher spf, the Australian gold is the best. Blends easily and I wear it over vitamin c and alpha arbutin serums with no issues of pilling.
Does a good job, but drying even with moisturizer. I have fair skin and I wanted an everyday sunscreen/light foundation, so I could protect my skin outside. The tint is nice, it makes me look like I have a very slight tan. A little seems to go a long way.I washed my face first, then applied a good moisturizer and let my skin absorb it for about 5 minutes before applying this BB cream. It goes on smoothly and has decent coverage of uneven skin tone and minor blemishes. I waited a few minutes, then used a finishing hydrating spray for added moisture.Unfortunately, the BB cream has a drying effect, so it exaggerated fine lines and is somewhat difficult to clean off at the end of the day. I didn’t stay out long enough to have to reapply. I suppose this makes the SPF last longer for more protection, so there are trade-offs.This was expensive, $18 for 3 oz (the 2 darker shades are 33% less expensive) and I didn’t put any on my neck, which I usually do. So I might just go with a regular SPF on top of my moisturizer next time.I am very, very pleased that this company is cruelty-free and vegan!
Love this foundation. Very light but still gives coverage and also gives protection against the sun.It does come in different skin tones so check before ordering. If fair skinned make sure you order lightest shade.
I waited too long to try this. This wears well, is not greasy, dries to a nice matte texture. Perfect for combo and especially oily skin.I have severe hyperpigmentation on my cheeks and have been using chemical sunscreens bc w tret use, my skin was just too peelie for any tinted or regular mineral sunscreens. The zinc and titanium usually highlights it even more. I could barely even use make up. Plus a good chemical sunscreen provides better PDD rating (UVA spectrum) than what most mineral sunscreens can provide. This stuff actually softens the peelie look, its better than make up. I’m so impressed, I always stayed away from mineral sunscreen bc of color and texture, they are always so greasy and texturizing and I have oily skin. Ofc, how it looks depends on how bad my peelies are and which moisturizer I’m using.Australian Gold Tinted is a game changer for me. I now use a popular Japanese chemical sunscreen as my first layer, and top up with this sunscreen bc the iron oxides is suppose to protect from blue light which has been darkening my hyperpigmenation despite sunscreen use. The two formulas are compatible.Btw, this sunscreen has been tested for a PPD rating of about 19.2, which is really decent. I’ll probably get this in all 3 shades to use to match to my perfect color and also as contouring especially across my cheek bones which will give it extra protection during the summer. This stuff is better than make up and I’ve even tested really high end tinted mineral sunscreens at Sephora that does not even measure up to this one. This sunscreen is definitely designed for tough use like sweaty humid Florida weather. So perfect for the beach. It dries so nicely that I can wear it on parts of my body and it doesn’t smear as much like other sunscreens, especially tinted mineral sunscreen.Unlike the color choices at Sephora, the colors aren’t a perfect match. However, the texture for me is Holy Grail. Hopefully Australian Gold will work on their color choices as this is a top selling tinted mineral sunscreen and the value is unbeatable.
Dry skin folks, please don’t be afraid to try. I have dry, dehydrated, sensitive skin. Chemical sunscreens irritate me and physical formulas with high zinc concentrations suck the ever-loving-life out of my skin (zinc has strong astringent properties). Without fail, I will look like the crypt keeper by the end of the day with flakes galore… and it doesn’t matter how moisturizing the formula may be otherwise. The higher the zinc, the drier my skin. So it’s been a struggle for me to find the right fit with mineral sunscreens. This one will now be in my regular rotation.1. It has a sufficient, but low zinc content (4%) with the addition of the much more forgiving titanium dioxide (also 4%).2. Zero white cast. Period.3. There are 3 tints to choose from (I wear the fair-to-light, as I’m quite pale). My only wish is that the undertone was less cool/pink. This is always a problem for me, as my skin’s undertone is yellow (and no one seems to care about us bananas).4. No shine! Thank the heavens… I was so tired of looking like a mirror ball after dutifully applying my SPF. And that brings us to the “dry” issue that some people have pointed out. This formula has a true matte finish (not like the others you’ve tried that claim to be matte and are still dewy… this one is matte for dayyyys). While this product may have a dry touch formulation, it is not DRYING. As in, it is not going to actually dehydrate your skin. Shea butter is the 2nd (inactive) ingredient. The formula also contains vitamin B5, vitamin E, and squalane. I have zero issues with this product drying out my already desert-like skin. Just be sure to moisturize first, which you should be doing anyway. However, if your skin does not tolerate silicones (which actually help prevent TEWL, by the way), you may not care for this product.5. It’s truly sweat and water resistant! Like, this stuff is not budging until you tell it to scram. And you’ll need to double cleanse to remove it, which again, everyone should be doing anyway. I like to jog outside in the sun. I will have beads of perspiration pouring down my face. This sunscreen is totally unfazed. It never runs, gets greasy, or moves in the slightest. It also doesn’t get into your eyes and cause stinging.6. I love that this is SPF 50 (until now, I had only found the formulations of SPF 30 to be bearable).7. It is cosmetically elegant… lightweight, silky, smooth… not sticky, tacky, or greasy AT ALL.8. It’s affordable! Hallelujah!!Aside from the pink undertone that I don’t love, there is one other con. Eucalyptus extract is a known skin sensitizer… one of the worst offenders, actually. It doesn’t irritate me, but it surely will be an irritant for some. I’m not sure what purpose it’s serving here, except for AG being able to call the product “botanical.” I’d love to see them nix it altogether and add something more soothing and tolerable for all skin types. How about aloe? It’s botanical and almost universally tolerated.Lastly, I have not yet tried this product under foundation, as I don’t tend to wear it regularly. But it is important that it plays well with my make up when I do wear it. So I’ll have to test it out. I’ve seen mixed reviews on that. Some love it under make up, some find that it fails as a base. I’d love to hear more opinions in that respect.

Great sunscreen for a matte, even tone. A VERY thick BB cream w/great spf. I thought I would be a dark enough skin tone for this, but I am not. It’s darker than you think and has a pretty high coverage for a BB cream w/SPF. The SPF works fabulously! Make sure to let in skin it before wearing white/close shirt collars, etc. It felt very cakey on my oily, dehydrated skin. When I got very sweaty the sweat came to the surface but in droplets. My BB cream didn’t fall off or transfer. If you’re two or three shades darker than me, you might be able to get away with it. Otherwise, the white one would be okay I think. It might be just as thick, though. The sunscreen search has always been tough since I was a child, but no reactions to this. Straight spf with color. The photos the first one is trying to lift up my eyebrows after my face feeling cakey for weeks of use. I’m very pale, I just hope for a little bit of color but I look a completely different shade with this. The second is of my and my natural paleness. Great sunscreen/BB cream though! It’s just very thick and deeper than Fair-light. Don’t let the packaging fool you, but it’s great spf which I’ll let my honey use since he has darker skin than I do. I went back to Cetaphil oil control in the purple and white bottle and I’m glad I did. I prefer it to this and can get a bigger bottle. It’s not as great at fighting sweat though!
Tinted Mineral Sunscreen. I ordered this sunscreen because the dermatologist recommended sunscreen I had been using for many years prior, was burning my eyes. I couldn’t wear it when working out and was looking for one that was waterproof. This sunscreen is perfect for full coverage and working out. It is absolutely perfect for the amount of activity I do, as it does not irritate my eyes when I sweat. The matte texture gives my skin a super smooth feel. I don’t wear makeup often, so this is also a great everyday sunscreen for moisture and coverage. I ordered the medium to tan shade, but will be saving it for next summer because the color is WAYY too dark for my current complexion, and looks like a dark fake tan. I reordered it in a shade lighter!
Este producto es muy bueno en calidad y precio, me lo recomendó una amiga que vive en USA asà que lo pedà y llegó súper rápido!!!

Have been using this for a few years now. When you don’t like foundation, this is the best.
Really love this, just a little too drying. (mature skin). I really do love this sunscreen. I think they changed it a few years back because the color works better than it did before. I get the fair to light and it works great. It used to be too dark but I think it was just one color, now they offer three? I’m not positive but it used to be too dark for me but they do offer a light and it works great for my skin tone. I love that it’s a high spf of 50. It is free from so many harmful ingredients which is very important to me. I don’t want harmful chemicals on my skin or fragrance. It’s also cruelty free which again, is important to me. I have mature aging skin which has become sensitive and this doesn’t sting, burn or irritate my skin in any way. The spf 50 is a huge bonus with this as well because my skin has become very sensitive to the sun and I can feel the difference when I’m wearing this compared to being out in the sun without. I’ve developed an auto immune disease and along with that I developed rosacea and now my cheeks are so sensitive and will burn and hurt when I’m out in the sun without sunscreen and when I’m wearing this they don’t. I can wear this all day and it still looks great. It gives a decent amount of coverage. I don’t wear foundation any more and haven’t for years but I want some sort of coverage and I find that this looks very natural but hides many flaws, like marks/discoloration, helps diminish acne scars and pores and makes my wrinkles looks better. I definitely look better wearing this than without and without a heavy makeup look.I would give 4.5 stars if I could and the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it is too drying for my mature skin. I used to have a more oily skin and this would have been great but now that I’m older, 57 to be exact, my skin is no longer oily and this makes it feel a little tight and dry so I mix it with a little of my Cerave AM facial moisturizer and that adds some moisture and makes it bearable without the tight drying feel. I’ve tried other tinted moisturizers because of the drying matte issue but there was always something wrong, like usually the color, too shiny, not enough spf, and or too expensive. The amount you get and the price are such a bonus and don’t forget the spf 50! I just really like it a lot. I wish it was more moisturizing but it’s not hard to just mix a little Cerave AM into it on the top of my hand and they apply. I’ve tried other brands to mix in other than the Cerave and I find the Cerave blends the best. I hope this review is helpful. I figured after 3 or more years of using it I should help others with what I’ve learned from it. Like I said, I have tried other brands but I keep coming back to this and why would I pay more when I know this works and looks so good. It’s also buildable so it really does work and look like a foundation. Great product.
