Thank you COVID. (Did I actually say that?) (Read on!). So, COVID got remote classrooms functional and some laptop makers to provide an inexpensive solution for a Windows based, web browser, laptop with “all school day life”. To quote the description: “US military-grade durability, a tamper-resistant/spill-resistant keyboard, rubber-lined edges, and corners to reduce the impact of knocks and bumps to protect critical internal” and NOT kill a couple hundred dollar laptop.I’m using this one for my Ham radio software. Outdoors; in the field; ham radio stuff only – leaving my gaming machine safe and dry at home…And to recharge the laptop from a 45 watt USB “C” charger; epic! Let’s see, a 45 watt cigarette lighter charger, a USB “C” cable, a LiFePO4 battery (properly sized to operate the field station) and I’m outdoors playing radio. This weekend will tell the tale if (as) it works!
A laptop. This is my third ASUS computer, if this is half as good as they were it’s a steal of a deal. I just wish ASUS would bring back their compact netbook laptops and with Linux as O.S. that one was awesome for me as a traveler.I’ll start with the negative thoughts on it. Limited storage space on H.D. 2 2.0 USB ports the C USB port is charging port, with that the power supply is a chunky 3 prong plug. Now with my likes of it low cost, fast boot up, not as much bloatware as many computers I’ve had in past…. but it’s still a Microsoft O.S. so it’s going to have problems soon and use up H.D. now on that front Microsoft is a subscription for almost all applications on the dang thing on top of the O.S.Update on this product : effect on 27 Mar 2023 So I don’t use it regularly but screwed up by installing Update on it. Now on startup #15 or so, Microsoft operating system is corrupt and will not boot up. Restart and restore don’t work. Bit locker or anything was stored in “my” Microsoft account. So as of now it’s a door prop. So I don’t know if it’s the laptop or Microsoft O.S. probably the latter. Time to go back to Linux, not waste any more time and money on Microsoft. So my next step is to try to run / install Linux on it or return it.

Nothing negative to say about this purchase. A steal. I could not believe that we got this great computer for $110, including a computer case. The charger is a bit big and therefore cannot be stored in the bag and so was stolen/lost. We had to purchase a replacement charger which cost almost half the price of the computer itself, but the new charger is small enough to fit into the computer bag, so they made it worth the buy, for convenience’ sake. For a regular college student or as a home laptop, this laptop does all we want it to do.I would encourage that there is no need to purchase the name brand laptops if all you want are the basics in a laptop; this one will do very well.
Good laptop. Great quality for the price. It does what I need it to do.
Awesome. All u need to know. My eighth grader busted 2 dell computers, repeatedly. On the 4th repair, I tried this. Incredibly more robust which is important for kid. Being slightly smaller helps too for ruggedness. Otherwise works great for kid stuff.Seems fast enough, especially at the price point!!Would buy again!

Good product and shipping. Planned delivery monday, received with local Post friday before (3 days saved). Good product, seems reliable for travel use.right click on bottom right of touch pad (no design, white line or so, to show it) should be improved.Thunderbird I’m used to with Linux works here. It’s a better choice compare to Windows Mail.AC plug with a lenovo grounded cord that fit charger. For use in France.Good purchase with Little Bamboo Tech. 5 *. Excellent shipping.
Pretty nice for the Price. This is pretty decent for the price. My only 2 compliments would be the unnecessary bloat wear and the tiny screen. It has all the ports I need to be able to work from home. I am pretty satisfied overall.

Great. Excelent laptop for price
Warning: No M.2 slot in the unit I received. Unit itself is sturdy and just as expected. However, when I opened it up to use the M.2 slot, there were solder pads, but no port! This put a huge kink in my plan to re-use an old 128GB SSD. 🙁
Solid Package. I found the computer to be solid. Good battery life. I installed Linuxmint Mate without any problems. If you are looking for the usual F10 to access Bios ASUS uses F2!There was one occasion when the computer locked up. I was able to turn it off and reboot after leaving it to sit there. It would not boot up immediately. It has not done this again. The charger comes with an American wall plug but it can be pulled out from the “brick” and replaced with an Australian plug such as used for an IBM Thinkpad charger. In my case this is not a problem as I will use the USA plug when travelling. The charger uses International voltage 110 – 240. The charger has a “C” USB connection for charging and a small LCD light (next to the plug) on the laptop) glows when it is plugged in correctly and chargingThe on/off button is on the right side and is round, I found that the square button is a volume control.I am using the computer for emails / browsing not for gaming so I cannot comment on speeds for gaming. It works fine as a basic laptop. I have not had any trouble using Linuxmint apart from the strange time it died there have not been any problems. Perfect as a laptop for travel. If you are a Linux enthusiast you will note I used Linuxmint ‘MATE” desktop and installed it using the whole disk. I did not try and use a dual boot with Windows. If you use Linux do remember to activate the firewall.
Great cheap computer. I bought this for one specific piece of software I needed to install on a dedicated computer for my car (Chevy Volt). It stays in my car most of the time but I’ve grown to lost this things. It holds a good change, works find even after being in my hot car over and over again, and has pretty good build quality. It’s actually one of my favorite laptops out of my 4!and keep in my car (long story) but it’s been great. It’s actually turned into on of my favorite laptops lol out of the 4 much, much fancier ones.

Alot more capable than I was expecting. Purchased this to solve an immediate need for CAD work and it’s nearly as capable as the desktop I was using but didn’t have access to temporarily. Saved me from missing out on $2000 worth of freelance work.
Really Great. This was perfect!
For the price ($180) at time of purchase, gets the job done. Not the best laptop, but a decent ’emergency’ laptop for when your other devices go offline or need repair. I use this laptop as a backup ‘netbook’ instead of a smart phone, which I once used. Good enough to pay bills, check e-mails, and watch some YouTube at no higher than 720p. Sound is just fine!
