Hard Chew Toy. I am not sure about what is in this, but my dog so far hasn’t taken a big liking to this one.Pros: Hard as a rock, so it should last a long time. This thing does not give a little. It is the right size for my medium size dog. Doesn’t seem to chip when he is biting it. Great price.Cons: Hard as a rock, hopefully doesn’t chip a tooth. Dog doesn’t like the taste.I don’t think my dog will give up on this one, but might be a last thing he picks. I have two dogs (schnauzer and lab (mix)) and neither of these have taken to it. I do have two potbelly pigs that smelled it and passed on it as well. Not sure what to say about that one.Summary: While my dogs and pigs don’t like this so far (24 hours), I’m not giving up on it yet. It does seem strong and if they end up liking it, it will last a while. It has to be the taste, because they will bite on anything normally. Will update in a week to see if anything changes.
Lasted almost 2 years as my dogs favorite toy. I’ve updated my review after almost 2 years. I left the original review below the update.Update: After 2 years my dog has finally chewed down the nose on the alligator. He chews on the tail some but his favorite part is definitely the snout. We just got a new puppy who immediately took to the alligator as well. I have no idea why it’s their favorite toy out of all the toys. 🤷♀️ It seems too hard to be healthy for their teeth but they choose it over every thing else. I just ordered another one because I can’t convince them to pick another toy.Original review 👇I have a 5 year old 13 lb terrier mix. He’s usually not much of a chewer but I wanted something to help keep his teeth clean since he doesn’t let us brush them. I was surprised this toy was so hard. I assumed it would be a little more “squishy”? Anyway, I bought several options for my pup and this one is by far his favorite. He’s chewed it non stop for a few days now and it has some marks but it’s definitely held up very well.
Too Hard. I have a pit puppy, 20 lbs, who loves to chew. She’s huge for her age, and I wanted to get her a new toy. I bought two different toys, hoping she would like one. The other toy was a hit, they both jumped at it and were excited about it, probably because it had rawhide rings that went with it. This one was immediately thrown to the side, even though my pit loves to chew on non edible toys. I think this one was just too hard, because both her, and my Chihuahua-Jack Russell, weren’t interested. It didn’t have any smell to attract them, which is why I bought it, because they love peanut butter stuff. I’m not going to go as far as to lick it and taste it… I’m pretty sure it won’t taste like peanut butter, either. I feel so bad for my little pittie, she’s just sitting here with a sad look on her face because my other dog stole the fun chew toy. I’ve immediately ordered another of one of those so they both have one, but I’ve just money wasted on this one. It’s probably better they don’t like it, I’d be worried about them breaking their teeth. I know it’s supposed to be for power chewers, but it has no give whatsoever, just extremely hard, shiny plastic. It’s useless, unless you’re planning on filing it into a point and making a prison shank. Maybe you can leave it in front of the fridge for your SO to step on in the middle of the night when he goes to steal your almond milk. I’ll figure out some way to use it. I did dip it into my boyfriend’s peanut butter jar to let my puppy lick it, but I can do that with a spoon. I wanted her to feel like she got something, maybe my other dog will let her have a turn with the fun toy after awhile. That’s the only reason I gave it 3 stars. You can dip it in peanut butter and I was being generous.
Deceptively Engaging/Pieces Came Off. It just looks like “a thing,” but my dog loves it. She attacks it with gusto; a single-minded mission to destroy with her teeth. She can’t get enough of it, and that was my first requirement. The second requirement was longevity. It is a very strong “thing.” She’s been at it for a few weeks and it is just now beginning to show wear, as the video shows. There are definite teeth marks all around, and she’s just 7 months old.In the video, she is recovering from spay surgery. I need things to keep her attention so she’ll keep from trying to play, which could open her stitches. We’ve been fortunate in her healing, and this “thing” has been a useful diversion. So, I wholly recommend it as a recovery device. If it keeps being strong and durable, at least for a few months, I don’t think I could ask for more than that.UPDATE MAY 28TH 2023Yeah, I happened to see little blue pieces on the floor a bit too late and found some in her stool so I threw it out. Not sure of there’s such a thing as a durable enough toy. Removing a star.A.
Extremely durable. My dog is an aggressive chewer and extremely hard on his toys. I think I’ve finally found a chew toy that he can’t destroy. If you’re tossing money in the trash because you are constantly throwing away your destroyed dog toys, I highly recommend this. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because I stepped on it with my bare feet….Ouch!
Our pug really likes this for whatever reason. We have a pug and she seems to like particular chew toys and so I saw this and ordered it for her. It was fairly inexpensive and we like to give her a lot of things to try because she can be weird about what she really really likes. Ever since she first put her mouth on it, she hasn’t let it get too far away from her. She’ll always come back to what is now known as “Alligator”. I suspect it must taste nice since she enjoys it so much, but then again, she likes weird things so who knows. She chews on the nose part primarily and she’s had it a while and hasn’t really made that much of a dent. She’s a pug, so keep in mind she can only do so much damage unless it’s something that belongs to you and not her, then she can tear it up in about 3 mins. All in all, I’d recommend this to anyone with a smaller dog like ours. I have no idea how long it would last for a larger dog, though. I also like the color, as I suspect she might also since it’s a nice bright tropical blue color.
My dog’s favorite toy. I’m writing this as I go to buy two more of these toys! My dog is VERY picky about toys- nothing really gets him excited. Well imagine my surprise when he was overjoyed to get this toy. I don’t know if it’s the shape or colors or both, but he is obsessed. Ive heard that dogs can see in color but the spectrum is limited to blues, purples, and yellows. The fact that this has two colors he can see and is perfect for holding in his paws and chewing is awesome. I’ve paid some serious money for chew toys and I can’t believe these are so cheap as well. 10/10!
Excellent. They absolutely love their new toys. I always have to buy each their own. They are very happy with these.
could just be my dogs but. it didn’t last long at all. they had it destroyed in a couple of days. and they’re medium-large size dogs.
My Puppy Loves It. Great product for a puppy that loves to chew! He’s had the toy for over a month and it’s holding up. Warning, however, don’t step on it! It’s like stepping on a Lego.
Dog loves these. Very worth the money.dogs love it and last months.
Great chew toy. My 9 month old golden doodle loves these. I went and purchased her another, 1for outside and 1inside. At least she doesn’t tear them open and eat the stuffing or try to digest the squeaker that come with the other puppy toys. Highly recommend
Power Chewer. My dachshund is a power chewer and loves them
Pupper loves it. My sons puppy absolutely loves this. It’s kind of hard, but great for his teething! This is not a soft toy, does not squeak or smell. It’s quite durable and keeps him busy!
Great for heavy chewers. My dog loves this! It’s hard so he can’t rip it up
