Amazon Does It Again. I am so happy with these Smart Bulbs from Amazon Basics. I started with another brand and had constant problems. The bulbs kept lighting up at random times, losing internet connection, and I’d have to delete and reinstall them over and over again. I finally gave up and ordered these Amazon bulbs instead, and I’m so glad I did. On checkout you tell the system to link them to your Alexa device and voila! Just screw them in, turn them on, and Alexa does the rest. All you have to do (if you choose) is assign them to a group. If have had exactly zero problems with these bulbs. They work perfectly on command every times. Kudos to Amazon!

Good for any room. We installed these lights in every room. They work with Alexa great. It is super nice when you need to leave the house and can just tell Alexa to turn off all the lights. Great buy! If they do ever get disconnected because you turned the lights on or off manually it’s easy to reconnect. They are fast to turn on and off although it can be a little annoying if you walk into a room and can’t flip the switch you have to tell alexa to turn it on. Overall great bang for your buck.

Super simple, work great. These were purchased before a vacation in order to make our house look occupied. I didn’t really have time to set up any type of routine in the Alexa app, so I can’t speak to that in particular. However, I purchased these to be already linked to my Amazon Amazon account, and set up was so easy. I’m aware that there are some other brands that are a few dollars cheaper, and may be as easy to set up, but for the price difference, I felt like this was likely to be the least amount of hassle. And, they were. Literally, scan with your phone, link it in the Alexa app, and you’re done. While we were away, I would just open the app every so often in the evening to turn on or off a few lights in the house, making it look like somebody was going into an out of rooms. It was around the same time of night each evening, but not on an exact, timed schedule. I thought that seemed most realistic. The Alexa app may have a random feature that allows you to have things operated in a particular time range, but I don’t know that. I still need to investigate the app more thoroughly, but on the surface it’s quite easy to use. What is nice, is that if we are planning to be home before dark, but take longer than anticipated, I can open the app and turn on our porch lights and some inside lights remotely. I can also ask Alexa on our fire TV cube to turn on the bedroom light before we head to bed. That way, when I turn off the other lights in the living room and family room there is already a light leading our way to the bedroom. Pretty nice. These are great.

Love all the colors. VERY easy to connect to my alexa app. Practically instant connection. I think I may have had to turn it on 5 times or something like that for the connection process. The only thing that I’m not sure if is a bulb problem, or maybe I failed to research is that I cannot always get it to turn on through my Alexa device. I have to turn it on through the lamp- here’s the thing that may or may not be the issue, the lamp has a dimmer switch option. I can’t imagine how that would be the issue especially since I only try to turn it off an on with voice activation. For that reason, I gave it 4 stars. It can be easily turned off with voice activation, but I have to turn my lamp switch on occasion to get it to turn on after trying with a voice command.
