Works like a champ. Works like a champ. This is my first smart plug and I love it. I got it specifically for our pool pump and for 30 years we would have to go out the back door, walk around the back of the pool, bend down & flip a light switch to turn the pump on/off. Lots of times I’d be in bed at night and then realize I forgot to turn the pool pump off so I’d have to get dressed, put on my shoes, go downstairs, unlock the back sliding door and take the stick out, go outside & walk around the back of the pool & battle the mosquitos just to turn that switch off – then go back in the house, lock the door, pull the blinds etc etc. Now I can just tell Alexa to turn it off or use my phone. It also has buttons on it to manually shut down plug #1 or plug #2. Signal strength is great and it was super easy to set up. You know you’re old when your excited that you can turn the pool on and off with your voice whether you are home or out and about.
Works great. I have mine outside connected to my hanging string lights and it is exposed and not covered by anything. It has been pouring rain and it has also been 105° here and I still have not had any problems with it. It’s connected to my Alexa that I have indoors and it turns on everytime right away. I also like that you have the option to manually turn it on for when I am outdoors and don’t want to come back in to turn it on.
great outdoor plug. I use this for my outdoor deck lights. it’s wonderful to be able to turn the lights on and off from my alexa inside. it was a little annoying to get Alexa to see the smart plug but once it did it’s worked perfectly since rain or shine.
Impressive Quality, Simple to Use. Was originally looking for a dual-outlet Z-wave device to control our outdoor water bubbler & lights, but there didn’t seem to be any solid options. Decided to give this wi-fi unit a try & I’m glad I did! Setup could not have been any easier via the Alexa app that I am already using & the dual buttons for manual device control are a nice plus. Was a little nervous about wi-fi range since the outlet is in our backyard tucked behind some rather large boulders, but have not had any problems – bubbler turns on/off automatically every day per the Alexa device schedule… sheer perfection!
So easy to set up. Saves me going out at night unplugging my decorative lights!
