Amazing. I have a full head of fine hair that tangles if I so much as sneeze too hard. Trying to get a brush through my knots was a horrendous experience— especially having a tender head like me. My friend turned me on to this product and babyyyyy I cannot remember the last time I could get a brush or comb through my hair without a fight ending in frustration and tears. I will never let my cabinets be void of this product!
Best PreShampoo. This pre-pool is the best pre-pool. I have used in a very long time to the point this pre-pull is a staple in my hair care routine are use this to the tangle, my hair before anything else before shampooing and conditioning. It has so much slip that all my tangles, meltaway and hair, and then leaves my hair is so moisturized afterwords, II love this product so much that I had to purchase the the big size cut. The small sizes was not to last me a long time that’s how much I love this stuff. It is crack in a jar. I don’t use anything else except this especially on my on a days my hair is very tangled , I really really recommend this product especially to naturals
It’s got Soul! It’s SUPERSLIP. Wow! What a product. I’d give it 7-1/2 stars out of 5 if I could. Superslip! Best detangler ever. This stuff works! (By the way, I’m elderly, my body has changed, my hair now tangles hard as a rock.) Works on dry hair. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and it will detangle the toughest hair and make comb through a breeze. It’s a pre-shampoo, so it needs to be washed out when you’re done. I am floored by this product. Carol’s Daughter Combing Creme is pretty good too, but not as good as this one. This is my first time using an African Pride product; I’m definitely going to try the rest of the line.
It’s the slip for me. I’ve been seeing this product all over YouTube on the natural hair channels. I do a lot of protective styles so I was looking for something to help me thoroughly detangle and remove shed hairs before washing. This stuff is AMAZING. The slip is insane. I lightly dampen a section, apply from root to tip, and detangle with my Felicia Leatherwood brush. The shed hair and tangles just slid right on out with hardly any resistance. If you’re looking for a detangler that is very cost effective (because most of the time, when detangling, you need a lot of product) this is for you. I’ve put several people on to this product. You will not be disappointed.
This stuff works amazing. I love this product. It makes detangling my daughter’s hair so easy. My daughter has long curly hair and she is very tender headed. With this stuff there were no tears! The instructions say to apply on dry hair and then detangle. Here is what I did I applied a generous Amount of product on her hair I finger detangled A little bit and then I wet her hair. I don’t rinse the product out. I just wet her hair with the product in it, and this adds a lot of slip and makes detangling a breeze. After I am done combing her hair then i rinse all of it out and shampoo and condition her hair. I hope they never change the formula on this.
It does detangle. I really didn’t see a point to pre-wash. I just took out my braids so I needed to comb out any tangles. This did the job perfectly. Just glided through and comb them out with ease. What usually takes and hour because of pain took 20mins! I’m sold, silky, smells great too.
So good. I have a mix of 3c/3b curly hair and this product leaves my hair detangled, moisturized, and smelling super fresh before wash day! Ive never used a detangling pre-poo that takes all knots out super fast. I’ve even used this product as an overnight treatment before wash day for extra moisture. Highly recommend especially if you are tender headed!
Love this product. Starting using this on wash days and saw the difference immediately. The pre-wash gives my hair moisture. After washes it is not super dry like it used to to be. The smell is amazing. The product is thick and kind of sticky. Leaves my hair shining and more healthy!

A MILLION BUCKS IN A JAR. I don’t know how and why this stuff works so well but it works and it smells so good! In my house we have all different types of hair from coily to curly to wavy and some of us have all three types on our head! It works for every single type of curly hair! The jar says to use on dry hair but I used my continuous spray water bottle and got my hair a little wet, not soaked, and put a little in my hair. You honestly only need a little because it definitely glides on and spreads easily. I parted my hair in quarters then I sectioned those quarters off in quarters and just applied the product on each of those parts then used my untangle brush and it literally just glided right through! Please believe me when I tell you that this stuff is the holy grail of hair washing day for people with coily and curly hair! AND IT SMELLS SO GOOD!!! After you apply it leave it on for 15 minutes like the jar says and then just wash your hair like you would normally do! You can definitely tell the difference when you actually wash your hair, it makes the shampoo not dry your hair out and seems like it makes the shampoo work even better! I didn’t use their shampoo and conditioner that goes with it because I’m a Shea Moisture girly but this product still worked really good for me. I’m sure if you get this, the pre-shampoo, and the shampoo and conditioner your hair will do amazing! Seriously, just buy it already, you will not regret it! Your scalp will Thankyou for not torturing it trying to comb out your hair!
I LIKE THIS. I love African Pride products. They work extremely well in my hair. My hair tends to be dry and the moisturizers keep my hair hydrated and with a nice sheen. Curls last and my hair is soft.This is my first time trying the pre shampoo. I had never seen it before. But the fact that it’s “detangling and conditioning/helps minimize breakage for natural curls and coils immediately grabbed my attention.It smells WONDERFUL!!!! That is a huge plus for me. I took a small section of hair to do a strand test. AMAZING!!! My curls are so pretty. Has a nice look and feel. My curls hang instead of shrinking. What I REALLY love is that my hair does not have that tacky feeling after applying. Very soft!!! This is definitely going to be on my list to continue purchasing and I will be telling my daughter and sister that have curls as well.My only reason for not giving this 5 stars is because the jar was slightly opened when I took it out of the box. To secure the product in shipping, there definitely needs to be something to keep it from spillage. Perhaps a sticker across the top or wrap in plastic and bubble wrap. Other than this I am a satisfied customer.
Best prepoo ever. This was my first purchase and now i understand the hype about this product. First it smells great. Then its prepooing benefit is maximum. Conditions, detangles and lessens hair breakage. It is just one of those products that make it to the holy grail. No switching up. Dont sleep on this if you normally do crotchet, have hair that knots easily, like to stay with braids for long. It melts out the tangles like butter. There’s no doing hair especially 4c hair without prepooing after discovering this product.
