Superputer, but Chrome advertizes falsely. This 14″ Acer Flip Chromebook is my second Acer of five laptops. And by far the best. However, I learned today that Chrome;s purported security is a sham. And it will cost about $150 to rid it of SPAM. I clicked on a legitimate repair site to get instructions on how to remove an undercabinet microwave, and the malware attacked, Now, not only am I out the cost to clean but also the cost of a security program I highly recommend this computer. I also highly recommend you purchase security.
My 2nd Acer Chromebook. I loved my previous Acer Chromebook, but it was well past receiving auto updates, so I could no longer use my printer with it. And I was noticing the screen image changing colors so I knew it was about to go. This one is even better. I especially like that the speakers are on top, not underneath as with the old model. My only annoyance is that to get optimum screen contrast when watching videos, the screen has to be at just the right angle. Too far forward and it gets too light; too far back and it starts looking like a photo negative. I suppose I will get used to that with time (I’ve only had it 1 week).
Works great, except battery. bought this in May 2023. Works great, super convenient. Only issue I find is that battery only shows 5 hours on full charge, which is kind of surpising, since the product description said upto 10 hours.
Great Chromebook. I bought the Acer Chromebook Spin 314 Convertible Laptop on sale as a Christmas present for my wife last December. The Acer replaced her old Asus Chromebook. She has been very happy with the touch screen display and overall performance of this Chromebook. In addition, the AUE is June 2030.
Gets the job done. I needed this for my embroidery software and machine. It downloaded the software, embrillance, with no issue. The set up was easy and fast. The touch pad is easy to use. I have not really utilized the touch screen. Very user friendly computer. It did freeze on me once but a quick restart and I have had no other issues. It is sleek and light weight. The charge lasts a while and charges fast.
Decent Chromebook. Overall it’s a decent Chromebook, I have had a few over the years for reference. It does what it needs to, good speed, good size screen however my only dislike is the screen isnt very good. Low contrast without any pop to it at all.
All I needed. So far the Chrome Book has been all I needed. 1/2 the weight of my older lap tops with a longer batery life. Makes taking it on the job a lot less of a hassle to deal with.
Awesome Laptop/Tablet. Bought this on Prime Day 2023 and it was so worth the money! Works great as a laptop and tablet. Only issue you may have is that it is a Google laptop so you can’t get some apps unless they are on the Google Play Store.
Good choice. Happy with my purchase. I’ve been using Chromebooks for over 10 years and I love how quick they start up and update. Only bad thing is, eventually, they stop supporting updates. So, this is my 3rd chromebook. I wanted to get a convertible option that i could use as a tablet. Only downside to this one is when in tablet mode held in portrait orientation, the screen has that sheen that makes it a little hard to view. It’s easier to use in tablet mode in landscape orientation.
I am in love with my chromebook. My daughter, who home schools kept encouraging me to purchase a chromebook. I was using a clunky old laptop, so I took her advice. Best move I ever made. She showed me hers & I said IT’S JUST LIKE MY PHONE. So easy to navigate & the keys are spaced larger so an older person ( like myself ) can type with ease. Great for kids in school as well.

The screen does have a semi matte finish to it which is great because I can’t stand light that glares while in use. Performance wise it has everything I need. It is different for everyone. But very compatible with your smartphone and able to download the apps I need. It is very lightweight, speed and resolution fits just for me. Battery time does last me 3-4 hours in constant use. I got my value for money on this purchase.

Chromebook. I love this chromebook. First ever. I like the simplicity and especially the speed. It is a great start for the seniors. I’ve used Microsoft most of my life for medical reports and occasionally legal letters but presently unwilling to have someone else in the background taking charge. So seniors this great for us.
