Works great. Love this product! Two wig grips come in the package. Theyre velvet and has velcro so you can adjust it for the size of your head.I had been looking into other methods in how to keep my wigs from sliding for days I just don’t have the time or patience to glue my wig down. I was just introduced to the wig world so im still learning how to apply for the most natural look on myself. I wear my wigs for a day at a time, on a rare occasion 2 days. I have a full lace wig and i also have a cheap 20 dollar synthetic wig that has no clips and this product works great with both wigs plus it saves my edges from extensive damage!CONS:Only downfall in my opinion is how hot my head gets while wearing the wig grip under my wigs. Doesn’t lay perfectly flat so it’s not as natural looking but that was expected. The label on the outside of the band is fairly large and unnecessary.Lastly is the thickness of the product where you velcro it together becomes a little bulky.Overall I would recommend especially if your someone who is either new to wigs or just dont have the time or need for gluing down your wig everytime. I’ll definitely be purchasing again when I need more.
Great product. This wig grip has been fantastic for any time I wear a wig all day like at events and conventions for my cosplays. I start by braiding my hair and rolling them up on my side and I flatten them. Once my hair is prepped I use a netted hair net then I put a skin tone wig cap to secure my hair in place. I then use this product on top and lastly my wig. I went to an event and was wearing this product with my wig. It helped so much keeping it in place. I got this to solve my problem with my wigs always slipping. This purchase was my answer to that problem and a great investment. I recommend it to my peers and friends who cosplay or just wear wigs for fun.
They work pretty dog gone well. These will stay where you put them on your head and they will hold on to you wig pretty well. I have not had a problem with my wigs slipping when wearing these. You can adjust the wig on this band but once you do it stays where you put it. The only trick is getting the band snug enough but not too tight. I have gotten over tight a couple of times but was able to loosen it without having to take the wig off which was a plus. I would buy these again. They do kind of have a funky odor so I would wash them a couple times before wearing. Even after the 1st washing they made my head itch especially after I took them off. After the 2nd washing I noticed that went away.
I had to put it on correctly. Works well. I ordered black. I put mine on with the tag on the inside so that I had complete wig grip capability. I had the velvet felt pointed downward so that when I ran my hand downward it felt smooth. When I rubbed upward it went against the grain. This is what you want so that when you put the wig on and adjust it, it stays in place. If you put it on the opposite way with the grain going upward, it is not going to hold. It is going to slide right off.
Convention must have. Usually I bobby pin my wigs to my cap or if it’s a big one use combs to attach it. I saw a tiktok cosplayer I follow recommend this an say “So secure the wind won’t even budge it.” She’s absolutely right. I wore this under a long pink wig and heavy crown for 2 days and not once did my wig slip despite the fact I was jogging around in 6 inch heels.I will say if you have sensory issues this does get a bit hot when in the sun but whenever I felt a meltdown coming I just sat down somewhere to cool off and felt ready to go another few hours.
I like this wig headband, works as described. I wear wigs every day and generally hate having to glue it down, especially if I’m not going out for long, so I figured I’d give this product a try.Pros: It works very well and feels very secure – my wig does not feel like it’s going anywhere when I use this band. I didn’t do a lot of stress-testing, but it worked nicely on when I went on a walk earlier. It’s got some good grip. Just a tiny bit of stretch to the material, which allows you to get a really nice fit around your head. The size will probably fit most peoples heads since the way the velcro is applied leaves about 4 inches of room to loosen or tighten the band.–Cons: The headband adds a bit of bulk under the wig and it’s noticeable under the lace if you’re looking for it. It kind of made my lacefront look like a hardfront so I had to blend some makeup out on the middle part so it wasn’t as visible. It’s also a bit hot underneath a wig, which can already get a bit hot.–Overall comments:The material reminds me of a microfiber cloth. Not a pro or con, just noticing. For quick going out, I’m pleased with it for an easy solution to go to the store or something without having to glue the wig down. I honestly probably won’t use it for when I’m dressed up though, it’ll be a purely “girl on the go” convenience kind of option for me.Works as described and fulfills the want/need I had when buying it. None of my “cons” are enough to remove a star from my total rating, since the product is completely what they seller has said it is. Very straightforward product and I like what it does, and the price point is reasonable for me and will allow me to skip a wig cap and glue when I don’t need to wear a wig for long.
Full Confidence in my Hair System. No slipping and thus no scratching. The Physics of a Wig GripUnderstanding the Wig GripA wig grip essentially acts as a mechanical device that utilizes the principle of friction to secure a wig to the wearer’s head.Friction: The Key PrincipleFriction is a force that opposes relative motion between two surfaces in contact. It can be divided into two types: * Static friction: This is the force that prevents an object from starting to move when a force is applied to it. * Kinetic friction: This is the force that opposes the motion of an object that is already moving. How Wig Grips Utilize Friction * Velvet’s Role: The rough side of the velvet creates a surface with numerous microscopic bumps and ridges. These irregularities increase the contact area between the velvet and the hair or wig cap. * Increased Contact Area: A larger contact area means more points of contact between the two surfaces. This increases the normal force, which is the force exerted by one surface perpendicular to the other. * Higher Friction Force: According to the formula for friction (F_friction = μ * F_normal), a higher normal force leads to a higher friction force. This stronger friction force is what holds the wig in place.Additional Factors * Material: Velvet’s texture and composition make it particularly effective for this purpose. Other materials with similar properties could also be used. * Design: The design of the wig grip, such as its width and shape, can influence its effectiveness. * Hair Type: The type and texture of the wearer’s hair can also affect how well the wig grip works. In essence, a wig grip works by harnessing the force of friction, exploiting the microscopic irregularities of the velvet surface to create a strong bond between the wig and the wearer’s head.Google Gemini
Wow. These are awesome! I will never wear a wig without these again! Stayed put all day at work! Thank so much! So glad I gave this a try. Perfect fit and very comfortable!
Didn’t work like I expected. The media could not be loaded. At first glance this is a great idea. Its supposed to help keep your wig from slipping. I’ve seen other types and thought I’d give it a try. It’s made well, good quality fabric. It’s a type of velvet with a velcro closure. There’s plenty of adjustment size with the velcro strip. It has a tag that’s sewn on to tell you where to position it. You’re supposed to wear it over your cap. So I got mine in place and tightened it as much as I could. The wig fit over it without it being too snug or painful. It wasn’t uncomfortable to wear. The resistance to heat was good considering how hot it was out side. It didn’t cause me to sweat. So the material must also be breathable. But after wearing it a short amount of time it started slipping. It caused my wig to fall backward. Thankfully I could feel it and was able to fix it before too many people noticed. It was embarrassing. And I was really disappointed that this product didn’t work. The wig actually stays better without it. So no I wouldn’t recommend this. The positives are the quality of how the band is made. And getting 2 for the price gives some value to your money.

Dreamlover Wig Grips. For over a year, I struggled to keep my wigs in place with Bobbie pins, which required a lot of time putting them in. And still, after running errands, or to the dr. or out to eat — when I got home, my wig was still eschew, which was embarrassing! I was so relieved to finally find these grips which are amazing. They keep the wig securely in place which gave me confidence when going out. I tried other grips, but they lost were stretched out of shape after using them a few times. But not this brand which is made out of quality, sturdy material that does not get stretched out of shape. I wear them during the day w/out the wig to keep my hair out of my face. I love them!

The wig doesn’t move at all. Perfect! Keeps the wig in place, my head doesn’t feel itchy. Very comfortable.
