Best pet hair remover… ever. I have always had at least one dog and I’m used to coping with some dog hair, but I’ve never allowed dogs on the furniture and I also think that my dogs all had hair that was fairly easy to remove.Fast forward to 2012, and I am in a second marriage with 3 kids. The last “not on furniture” dog died and we got a new dog named Zara. Hubs grew up in a house that allowed dogs on the furniture so when we saw that that Zara was able to jump on the furniture we had to make a decision. We did it the good ol’ American way and put it to a vote. Hubs and all three girls voted to let the dog on the furniture, much to my dismay. Worse, Zara’s hair is like nothing I’ve seen before… once it gets onto cloth, most of the time it clings to the point that the hairs have to be pulled out individually. Vacuuming, tape-style lint rollers, a Gleener depiller, velcro balls in the washer/dryer, Bounce pet hair dryer sheets … they all leave a lot behind.Fast forward to 2020 and not only am I at my wits’ end with the dog hair, but all three kids are grown women and none of us likes that we can’t sit on the furniture without having to get out a hand-held vacuum and vacuum the dog hair off the back of each others’ pants.Fast forward one last time to last week when I finally decided to get this Chom Chom gadget. I am ASTOUNDED at how well it works. I think the secret is with the little squeegee on the roller. I’ve tried using a squeegee on carpet before and it really does work, but it is unwieldy, cannot easily be done in more than one direction, and it must be done with a vacuum nearby to gather whatever gets pulled up. Also, then the squeegee ends up with pet hair on it so it needs to be cleaned before it gets put back into service for cleaning glass. With the Chom Chom, you get the benefit of the squeegee, but since it is on the roller, it is easier to do back/forth strokes. And then as for how the dog hair gets off the roller and into the hair collection chamber… maybe it is sorcery? I have no idea how that works but IT DOES!!In full honesty, I still have to do extra strokes to get all of Zara’s hair (it gets our other dog’s “easy hair” on the first swipe), but the amount that the Chom Chom picks up relative to the number of passes I have to make over the fabric is unbelievable!Once the chamber is full, I use a handheld vac to remove the hair and then it is ready to go again! The only downsides that I can see are:- Some dog hair gets trapped in the side hinges of the door to the collection chamber and has to be pulled out with the fingers. It is possible that if I cleaned it before it got SO FULL, that problem would go away, but we just have SO MUCH dog hair and the gadget is so effective that I would be emptying every couple of minutes.- The button to open the collection chamber door is right where I place my thumb for strength so I tend to pop it open when I am doing the actual rolling task (I seem to have this problem with a lot of products that have a button in the center, so that might be a “me” problem.)- The chom chom is 7.5″ wide which is excellent for cleaning furniture, but a narrower version would be better for clothing, especially when the dog hair gets on the clothes while they’re being worn and it would be impractical to remove the clothes (e.g., if you get dog hair on your black pants when you ride in your co-worker’s car to lunch during the workday.)BOTTOM LINE: I have had this little gadget for less than a week and have already recommended it to several people and wrote this review while I was looking to see if they had a narrower model for my car/office/coat closet. I wish I had owned this years ago, and I would 100% buy it again.

Unbelievable – worth every penny. Frankly I was very skeptical as I used to have a brush with material similar to the one on this ChomChom Roller and that didn’t work for me. But I was desperate to find something that can help me eliminate all the cat hair my clowder leaves behind. Since it was on sale (a great deal) and Amazon has a wonderful return policy, I decided to give it a try.WOW! Did I get a pleasant surprise! This roller picks up lint, cat hair, and whatever else there is without much ado and muscle!I haven’t used my red sheet set in a long time because cat hair would be almost glued to the cotton and was very difficult to remove.Someone suggested putting hair covered items in the dryer on no heat for about 20-30 minutes and the hair would be in the lint catcher. That worked on some things but you can’t put a couch in the dryer …..This ChomChom Roller worked on everything I needed it to, easy peasy …. no hard work!In the above picture (#1) you see part of my fitted sheet where one of my cats slept, the 2nd picture shows after I went over the area in 2 strokes, and the 3rd picture shows the full lint catcher!! Prior to use I’d cleaned it out.I am so excited! Now I can wear my dark clothes again without advertising “I’m a crazy cat lady”!!Even if you don’t have pets, this roller is the best lint remover and you will be glad you bought it! No more sticky sheets or rake-like gadget that tear on materials! It also makes an excellent gift for most everyone and it will not collect dust in a drawer or be re-gifted.I highly recommend this item!
£26??? The tool is nice but it should cost no more than £15, so I do think it’s a rip off only because this brand has promoted themselves A LOT, and, therefore, people tend to trust it more than alternative brands. The same reason I went for it, but also because I had £25 gift voucher so it didn’t hurt my wallet too much. Otherwise, I would return it as it doesn’t work as magical as I’ve expected it to, for such a price.
The perfect item to keep in the bedroom for pet owners. I was a bit unsure when I received this product. It didn’t look like much for $25. I got a new quilt because keeping up with taking a duvet on and off with so much husky hair made for a bad time. After a night using my new quilt, I took this thing to it, and it effectively collected the hair. You do have to run up and down the same area a few times to get everything, but it was WAY easier than getting the vacuum out to vacuum the bed, or using 1000 sheets for lint rollers. It’s not a 100% magic tool, but it makes me not want to give up and live in filth just because I have a husky and two cats. I don’t feel like I have to wash my quilt every day. I can simply use this every morning and keep up with the shedding. Plus, once you open the contraption, you can see for yourself how much hair you have actually collected, even if it doesn’t seem like much when using it day to day.I will say that this is NOT a replacement for a lint roller. I cannot use this effectively on clothes. It has a harder time grabbing smaller hair or lint, and it’s easiest to use on a flat surface. I also tried this on my car. I have cloth seats and with the hairs embedded in the crosshatch fabric, it also didn’t do as well as on my comforter, although it did help some. I will still use the vacuum for my couch and anything that has curves, but this is perfect for the one thing I wanted help with- my bed!
BUY CHEAP HAIR PRODUCTS. I have two dogs, one tends to shed ALL YEAR LONG! Tried; tape, vacuuming (with a shop vac no less), lint rollers, fabric softener (diluted), vinegar (very diluted), latex gloves… minimal results.Saw this cheap product… BUY BUY BUY… I thought yeah, sure… it sure DOES WORK… this has become one of my readily available tools in the battle of hair found on my: vehicles interior seats & carpet, furniture, and thank you, their dog beds… make sure you just roll forward/back/forward/back… gentle… a little force… gently… if it don’t work… hmm… you must not be following directions. I had to think after seeing someone’s review… what I didn’t realize was I had to sweep with a little pressure, then light pressure… sorta like a broom only in front vice the side of the user. This is such a great deal for something I spent hours trying to clean with all the other devices I mentioned before. Than you for this wonderful product… I’ll make sure I let other pet owners know how to rid the hair left by those little furry creatures we love!
Works great for lint on clothing, too! Great crumbs collector. Update: I haven’t adopted a new fur baby, but I have found another great use for the chomchom!! After another highly stressful day, I ended up eating something that kept crumbing, in bed. I know crumbs on sheets! Yeck! If I swept them off the bed, they’d just land on the carpet & I’d have to vacuum, but I have extremely sensitive skin & knew if I slept on any crumbs, my skin would protest with big blotchy hives, so I was thinking about what I could use when I spotted the chomchom. Yes folks- it is an excellent crumb gatherer!!! If you can’t tolerate (literally my skin’s case) crumbs in the bed, but have days where all you want to do is relax & destress in bed with food: might as well get a chomchom- even if you don’t have a fur baby- because most people have to deal with crumbs & lint daily :(I bought 2 chomchoms when they were on sale- one for my mom’s 4 cats & 1 for my cat. Sadly, my cat was infected by the vet techs not washing their hands or even gloving up before prodding into her incisions with their bare fingers, so I had kept mine unopened until I found a black sweater too small for me, but the perfect size for my mother. Washing & drying that sweater wasn’t a problem, but the smattering of lint all over it had to be taken care of before I could bring it to my mother. I was looking for my old lint roller from years ago or was thinking of using packing tape, when I passed the chomchom, still in it’s cardboard wrapping & thought hmm, might as well see how effective this is. Ironically, when I saw the chomchom & how it worked, I had a flashback to about a decade ago when they had a much smaller version of this, with cheaper felt(?- the material that traps the fur, hair, lint, etc) that I had bought & was thrilled with, until it stopped working after the 5th use. This is 5 times bigger, with better quality material & picked up the lint in no time on that sweater. I was actually having so much fun & satisfaction in seeing this linty, snowy black sweater turn charcoal black, that I didn’t realize I had it on top of a material that kept adding more lint to the back of the sweater, every time I flipped it. After 20 minutes of weird lint removing fever (I don’t bother with a few pieces of lint on the average, so I blame the fabulousness of the chomchom), I started calming down & that’s when I realized how long I had been removing lint & finally looked under the sweater to discover why I kept getting lint on the side I had cleared.I put 4 stars because even though my hands are tiny, or maybe the fact that the little recess/button is in the middle of the chomchom, I kept accidentally touching it or something was making it constantly flip open & I’d have to close it to continue using it. If it happened just a couple of times, it wouldn’t be a big deal, but in that 20 minutes of lint removing fever, that button/recess made it pop open over 9 times (I stopped counting after 9). Maybe people with bigger hands won’t have that problem or maybe I have a defective one, but either way this is great & reusable & if you spend way too much on lint rollers, you might find buying this an affordable investment because it’s reusable, less waste going in overstrewn landfills, & the large surface makes this a dream. I’ll update this after I adopt another furbaby from the shelter.
Works great on hard-to-remove Pug fur. Anybody with pugs knows that their fur is not like regular dog fur. It buries itself into the fibers of clothes instead of just laying on top of the fibers. This means you have to go over it many times with a regular tape roller remover and do it from multiple directions. And even then it’s likely you’ll still have to pull some out by hand. This roller gets it out so much faster and tons more easily than the tape rollers! I have some other brush type things that use the same type of red stuff to remove the hair and they also work great. The advantage of this particular roller is that it has the built in feature of removing the hair from the roller and depositing it in the little tray so that cleanup is easy.
Just buy it. Ok, it’s time I review this thing! It is great! My very furry fur baby leaves a lot of hair behind each morning. I was debating what to do. Lock him out of my room (nope…not an option), or buy some small vacuum for clean up? I ran across this device and decided to take a chance. Boy, does it ever work great!? Inexpensive, easy to use, and it cleans up the kitty hair so well on my bed. Thank you!
Worth every penny. Absolutely works like magic! We have 10 indoor cats and 4 indoor dogs – and we are neat freaks. When I read these reviews and decided to try one, I wish I had purchased one a long time ago. Works phenomenally well on hair. It is a little work to roll it effectively, but it picks up every little bit of hair. Love it. Do yourself a favor and get one.
The BEST. I was initially skeptical about the ChomChom Roller, but after seeing one of my favorite influencers rave about it (she has a German Shepherd, so I trust her opinion), I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! My lab sheds so much, and her bed in particular can accumulate an overwhelming amount of hair that’s hard to remove with a vacuum. The ChomChom Roller has been a game-changer.This tool is incredibly easy to use and works like magic on pet hair—especially on fabric surfaces like her bed. It picks up hair so effortlessly, and it’s so satisfying to see the bed left perfectly clean and hair-free. I love that it’s reusable and doesn’t require any batteries or sticky sheets, making it an eco-friendly option too. The process is quick and effective, and I feel so much better knowing her bed is nice and clean after using it.If you have a pet that sheds a lot (especially on soft surfaces), I highly recommend giving the ChomChom Roller a try. It’s become an essential part of my cleaning routine, and it’s made such a difference in managing all that pet hair!
Amazing! 5 stars isn’t enough. Been struggling with dog hair for a while now, our Bella sheds a lot. The carpet on my stairs seems to be a magnet for catching it all. This product popped up as a recommendation, and after reading reviews I figured I’d give the Chom Chom a try. I am so glad I did! I’ve tried other products, but they always leave a bunch of hair behind or take a lot of time and energy to use. Vacuuming takes forever to get it all up. The comb style removers tire my arm out.The Chom Chom made quick easy hair removal on any surface I’ve tried it on, including a plusher carpet, sofa, and a thinner area rug. No waste like using a lint brush, quicker and easier than using a comb style remover. The big test was my stairs! A couple of quick passes that didn’t tire my arm out and the visual difference was amazing (think black/white/gray hair on a beige carpet!). To pop open the chamber to see the amount of hair it collected was so satisfying. I had to carry a trash bag with me up the stairs because it was pulling up so much hair, even the deeply embedded hairs, that I got tired of walking to the trash to empty it. I can already see that regular use of the Chom Chom is going to keep Bella’s shedding in check!Only downsides I could see was when emptying, some of the hair gets stuck in the sides of the chamber and had to be pulled out by hand but using it in conjunction with my shop vac solved that issue. Also, during my first couple of uses my thumb kept hitting the button to open the chamber. So, I had to adjust my grip so it wouldn’t keep popping open. Nothing that couldn’t be fixed or worked around.Only thing that would make the Chom Chom better would be to have a mini version for quick use on clothes, and maybe a modified version that could get into corners and edges (like along my stair treads).Bottom line, I highly recommend the Chom Chom, it’s the best pet hair remover around!
It works. I was skeptical. But it works! It really works!I have one shorthaired cat with straight stiff fur that I believe could wedge its way into concrete. The other cat is a long-haired with a wiry thick undercoat and long fine overcoat. As much as he sheds I’m always in disbelief that there is any fur left on the cat. It’s all on the furniture and on my clothes. 😳When I got this, I first ran it on a corduroy chaise. It picked up all the fur. There was no trace of fur left. It’s simple to use and easy to clean. It holds more than I imagined it would.
Excelent Pet Hair Remover. I have two Persian cats that have more hair than you can believe. I have used every hair remover on the market over the past 30 years. This one works on 90% of all kinds of materials and places. On pants the roller will pick up hair and smooth out wrinkles even eliminating ironing. It also picks up hair that you can’t see. It is easier to use than sticky rollers,
