Dulled quickly. These gardening scissors are a great petite size for my small hands. The other pair I had were a bit too big & I ended up needing to use 2 hands with them a lot. Not with these! They fit comfortable in my hand & are easy to control & lock/unlock with my thumb. My issues with them include- they dulled at the tips/ends after the first week with light to moderate use, which bummed me out. That shouldn’t of happened that fast! The lock/unlock button gets loose quickly & often slips on/off when you’re not wanting it to, but it’s not a deal breaker.
Surprisingly useful. I don’t usually give 5 star ratings, but these have been awesome. I bought them specifically to cut basil, because it was tough to use scissors without accidentally cutting other stems.And they do work perfectly for that – they can get in to the thick area of the basil and cut without accidentally getting more than I want. Even in a very dense cluster, if I’m careful I can usually avoid cutting more than I intend.But these have been helpful even beyond that – they were strong enough to cut off tomato branches that had started to yellow, and their size meant that I was able to cut them right at the joint.I’m quite pleased, especially for the price.
Sharp, easy to use small plant snips. I just received these snips and am happy with my purchase. They were just right for those tiny hard to get to areas for trimming, dead heading, and cleaning up the dry leaves and stems. Since it’s Fall, I anticipate a lot of use in the next few weeks. The price was especially attractive and these surely be a valuable part of my go to yard tools.
Very sharp blades; useful for any cutting task. I find that ordinary scissors are often expensive, the blades become dull very fast, and they don’t fit my hand size. This pair of shears overcomes all of those problems for me. They are wonderfully sharp and inexpensive compared to sewing and embroidery scissors. Such a good deal! I share this idea with all my friends.
pinch. Don’t really know why this happens but the handles tend to pinch my palm when cutting. Have to be careful, just an owie, no blood. I had an old pair just like this and don’t recall this happening.
