| Directions | Puppies start to nibble solid foods at 3 - 4 weeks of age. Keep moistened Pro Plan available at all times. Allow your puppy to eat at will until fully weaned (6 - 8 weeks). After weaning, Pro Plan can be fed moistened or dry. For best results, develop a regular feeding schedule such as three small meals a day for younger puppies. You can gradually reduce to one feeding in the morning and one in the evening as your puppy ages. The routine should not vary. As puppies near adulthood, their calorie needs may drop, and your puppy may begin leaving some food in the bowl. Don’t misinterpret this as an indication of dislike for the food. Instead, begin offering less so your puppy doesn’t overeat and stays in ideal body condition. Nestlé Purina Research indicates that avoiding overfeeding of puppies may help their development. Maintaining ideal body condition is key to encouraging proper growth in all puppies, especially large breeds. The indicated amounts are only a guideline. If your puppy becomes overweight, a reduction of your puppy’s daily food intake may be appropriate. You may wish to consult your veterinarian about a weight control program. FEEDING FOR REPRODUCTION Pro Plan provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female’s ideal body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation. MAKING THE SWITCH TO PRO PLAN Although you’ll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your dog, please allow 7 - 10 days to ease the transition from your dog’s current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you’re feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. Contains a source of live (viable) naturally occurring microorganisms. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly. |

Amazing Dog Food with an amazing price. My baby girl has been on this food since I got her at 12 weeks! She’s now 7 months old and still loves it! I tried using hills science just to switch it up for her at one point and she got deathly sick!! Never using hills science again. This is our go to, and will be forever our go to. She loves the taste, and the food does right by her fur and skin! We use the lamb and rice formula but she’s also had the chicken formula and did well on it.

Great Food For Puppies. I have fed this food for more than 30 years to my puppies and am glad Purina is still making as it’s a great food for puppies. I feed it to them up to the first year, and then switch them to one of the Purina Pro Plan adult varieties. It’s the first time I ordered through Amazon and while there were packaging and shipping delay issues, the bag of food received was the same as the bags I buy at the store.

Dog loves it. While I don’t eat it,so I can’t myself say how it tastes, lol., my dog seems to like it, although he was meant to eat the large breed puppy instead, as this was ordered by mistake,and unlike another brand I fed my last GSD, this brand seems to upset my puppy’s belly by just switching from pro plan puppy to large breed puppy even with the same flavor , which seems weird considering it’s the same brand so other than protein,and a few other ingredients you’d think it wouldn’t matter too much , but apparently it does if you don’t slowly switch over from one puppy to another type of puppy food with proplan..

Great product for my Pup. I did a lot of research to find the healthiest food for my 10 week old Beagle. It’s small bites, which he prefers, and he loves the flavor. He digests it very well, and is growing perfectly. I like that I can transition him right to the Pro Plan Dog food when he is ready.
Best Puppy Food Ever. I’ve been using this food for 3 years, per my vet and it’s an exceptional product. I’m a breeder and I’ll only use this. Pups never have skin or digestive issues what so ever. Highly recommend

Vet recommended an dog approved. I have two puppies both around 8 months old that eat purina pro plan. This food was actually recommended by my vet. I was told that they spend a ton of money on research to make sure this food is exactly what our furry friends need to stay healthy. My dogs absolutely love this dog food and it doesn’t upset their tummies. Also, they don’t have any allergic reactions such as licking paws.
