The choice of what food to feed our dogs is never an easy one; differences in breed and size and digestion make what’s good for one dog not necessarily good for ours. What I can objectively say is that Blue Buffalo dog food is filled with high quality ingredients and they make many formulas (ex. puppy, large breed, older dog) to match the needs of most dogs. It is certainly pricier than the economy dog foods, but then again, it is reasonable to expect to pay a bit more for higher quality feed.From our experience with Shelby, our black lab, Blue Buffalo is the food she likes the best and the food that her body responds to the best. When she was a very young puppy she was fed Health Extensions brand, which was decent, but did not make a large breed formula. We then switched her to Blue Buffalo Puppy which she loved and which aided in her turn from a sickly shelter rescue to the healthy, shiny, energetic dog we have today. She eats this food voraciously (which is more than I can say for the Kirkland brand we tried for a few months), has plenty of energy, a super shiny coat (Kirkland brand left her with dry, itchy skin), regular digestive activity (yup, I went there), and she maintains a healthy weight. The price here on Amazon is significantly cheaper than the pet store and ordering online allows us to receive a fresh bag at our doorstep on demand.Blue Buffalo is the food we have found works the best due to the fact that it has high quality ingredients, it is made in the USA, there are many formulations to fit individual dogs needs and because the results thus far in our dogs health speaks volumes.I posted a before and after picture of our black lab. Great dog food at a somewhat reasonable price. Our dog loves this food. Seems to do well with this food. He has been on it in the eight years. He has been on this earth. Our plan is to continue using it.

my picky great dane loves it. i have a 16 month old great dane who tends to be very picky when it comes to food. i had her on the chicken and rice large breed puppy from blue buffalo in the past and even though she liked it at first it didn’t take long for her to get tired of it and stop eating it. this was a shame as her coat was so soft and shiny while eating this brand. i changed her over to Purina one large breed puppy and she quickly developed a skin allergies to it, her coat also got dull and she began shedding much more then normal. i knew i was going back to the blue buffalo and found this large breed lamb. i was a little worried she might not like it but she LOVES it! i am a little disappointed to see that they do not make the large breed puppy in any other flavors however she is almost 2 so i feel she is old enough now to transition to adult dog food. I will always feed her this brand as it had her at her most beautiful and healthy!

High quality, great price dog kibble. We have used Blue Buffalo food and treats for years. High quality dog food, great ingredients, dog loves it. The quality foods are never cheap, but this price was the best around for this food. Well tolerated by our 2 year old Labradoodle.

Highly recommend. Packaged well. I’ve been ordering this food for over a year on subscribe and save and it’s consistently good quality food that my dog loves. Stays fresh in the bag. My dogs coat is beautiful and he is a massive 100 pound dog that hasn’t had any joint problems. I relate that to the amazing quality of this food. My dog is in great health.

Perfect large breed dog food. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Been using this for years & won’t switchI’ve been feeding my Saint Bernards Blue Buffalo Life Protection for years now (ages 2 and 4), I honestly have zero complaints. People constantly stop to comment on how beautiful and shiny their coats are, and I really think this food plays a big part in that.I love the ingredients — real lamb, no weird fillers, and clearly made with large breeds in mind. It gives me peace of mind knowing it supports joint health and lean muscle, especially with such big dogs.Best part? They love it. Bowls are always clean and we’ve never had tummy issues. Happy dogs, healthy coats, good ingredients — that’s a win in my book. I’ll definitely keep buying this.

Okay when it arrives. We are fine with this dog food. Our dogs like it and overall meets our needs for a large breed food. The postal service was selected by the shipper for delivery contributing to a significant delay. We find Amazon and other parties more dependable. Our Great Pyrenees are very picky eaters but they do okay with this food. Sometimes we must add part of a can of blue buffalo to encourage them a little.
