Great product. I’m a trim carpenter and use pencils every day. I was skeptical when I ordered these particular pencils and thrilled to be wrong. They work well, the lead is strong and marks on everything I’ve used it on so far. I came across a lot of more expensive products when I was looking at this one and I’m glad I made the right choice. I will be buying many more in the years to come.

Great customer service and a solid in-the-field mechanical pencil. Very nice product. Very handy in the field for marking drilling locations. It even comes with a spare top that doubles as a sharpener. Super!

Happy with what I got. The product was everything I hoped for.
Very nice…but don’t drop. The pencil itself is wonderful. I only just realized that there was a sharpener in the end of the pencil. But the first one I had, I knocked off the side of my workbench. That was the end of it…..I could not get it to extend after that. Can’t tell if the metal tube got tweaked or what, but it as dead. I loved it enough that I bought a second set. It never arrived, even after a couple weeks. So Amazon sent me another one. I’ll try to keep this one a little safer. Sad that it isn’t a bit more robust.
Love this thing. Saw over the years that my coworkers had something like this. So I had to get a pair myself. For how many extra pairs is led come with it is a solid deal. Work really good for conduit and more. A must have for sure
Good buy. Very well-made. Should last forever. Easy to load. Holds leads snugly without slipping. Would recommend.
Best Carpenters Pencils. Best carpenters pencils for the money. Graphite and red work best for wood, all great for stone and flooring depending on colors and types, all are good for metals, except for some coated typed, then they don’t like to stick and write so well. Great wear for use so far, love the sharpeners attached to the pencils, and just super durable when you get used to retracting the lead. Would have liked the pencil caps or covers that some come with, but don’t see that being a deal breaker.
Great Must Have tools for anyone who builds…. These are the perfect size just when you need to mark a board or whatever you are building.
So much more convenient than traditional carpenter pencils. If you use carpenter pencils often, I highly recommend this product. The set comes with 2 pencils (one black and one red) filled with lead, plus two dozen refill leads (12 black, 6 red and 6 yellow). It works just like a click-top mechanical pencil, and it’s super-easy to retract the lead, so you can keep it clipped in your shirt pocket without getting lead all over your clothes.The built-in sharpener is a game-changer, although it took me a few minutes to realize that the sharpeners are recessed quite far into the pencil caps; you need to expose a good amount of lead to get it to reach the sharpener (unless you unscrew the sharpener from the cap and use it separately, but that seems like an unnecessary waste of time). Sharpening was easy once I figured it out, and it beats the heck out of shaving down traditional carpenter pencils with a knife or carrying (and risk losing) a specialized sharpener.The lead feels quite sturdy. It’s not a strong as a traditional carpenter pencil, but it holds up very well for all but the most heavy-duty applications.The kit also comes with a good-quality plastic carrying case, which is a nice bonus. The pencils and refills have a tidy place to live when they’re not in use, and the see-through case means you won’t confuse the pencils with drill bits or anything else in similar-sized cases.5 stars.
Excellent product! Can’t believe I waited so long. I put off buying these for a long time, just getting by with carpenters pencils and sharpies. These are a major improvement. I mark a lot of dirty and wet wood, and the red lead works great. The black lead is dark and marks easily. Fits perfect in my tool belt and has survived several falls without breaking lead. excellent product!
Tip Too Thin to Grip. First of all, this is a high-quality product that does all they say. Good solid build and enough refills to last for a very long time. I like the built-in sharpener as well. My only gripe is that the lead tube at the end is too small for my large hands. It would be nice if there were a removeable tube that fits over the end to make for a more comfortable grip. With that addition, I would have rated this one a five.
Great product. Was skeptical that this would be so much better than my regular work pencils because I mean come on…. its a pencil….. not a very complicated thing right? But to my suppose these are awesome love the sharpeners the lead is super thick its well built comes with alpt of lead multiple colors 3 pencils I mean the value is incredible its truly worth it and a great couple dollar investment in yourself to make your work days that much better!
Great quality and price. Very useful in marking on wood or paper. Very clean crisp lines. Lead does not break easily. I highly recommend this.
