Great fun, icy treats and comfort drinks. We purchased our first one when the kids were young as a way to make snow cones and bring back memories our youth. It has served us well over the years and now that the kids are off in college, we bought them each one to take with them. Not only do they enjoy them as a treat, they love these when they are a bit under the weather. They will take the ice shavings and cover them with a bit of ginger ale. It really soothes a sore throat.As for the machine itself, yes, it is a bit noisy, but only while you are shaving the ice and that only lasts a minute or so. We useregular cubes from the automatic icemaker and they work fine. It is very easy to use, the kids did it all themselves.One word of advice, remember to put a little bowl under the slot after you are done shaving ice, because the unshaven ice left in the machine will melt and drip out.All in all, it is a great product that works well, is easy to use and is built to last. I hope it brings you as many great memories as it brought us.

Good Ice Shaver for the cost. I bought this to make Filipino halo-halo desserts. When I was a kid, my parents had a manual ice shaver. This is so much easier! We were able to use it straight out of the box with simple assembly. We used ice cubes from our freezer’s ice maker. I like that it won’t turn on unless the lid is secure and that my kids can operate it without me worrying that they’ll spray ice shavings everywhere. The only thing I don’t like is that it really loud! However for the price point and safety features, it’s a good value. I knocked it down a star for durability because it’s plastic and if you’re too ambitious with turning the lid, it can break. I wouldn’t put anything other than water ice cubes in this too, because it looks like it would be difficult to clean otherwise. TIP: when I see that the snow isn’t coming out, I turn it off and loosen the ice cubes a bit. Sometimes the ice cubes get too close together and they can’t move towards the blade.
Great for snow cones. I am thoroughly impressed by how well this can handle making a delicious icy treat. I eat a TON of ice and love snow cones, I was spending probably 35$ a week during the summer on snow cones at a local shop. I picked this up and this version is well worth the price. I’m only 1 person, but I use my new machine at least twice a day. The ice is a bit crunchy, and I do use bagged ice, but I don’t mind the crunchy. It is quite loud, but paying more for a quieter version isn’t really worth it to me. On a side note, the Hawaiian ice syrups have great flavor– I bought Banana 12oz in particular. I’ve also learned to make my own, and tried another brand I’m not happy with, but will probably keep buying pre-made Hawaiian Ice Flavors because I love some flavors in particular that aren’t easy to make at home.
Total Exceeded My Expectations. I had my doubts when buying this little guy, I though for sure it would break after a small number of uses. I serve Hawaiian Ice to all of my guests, so it gets a lot of use. I was going to buy a commercial machine until I saw how much they want for one of them. So when my last one died after 2 months, I bought this one and have been very happy with it. I can say that after 6 months of almost daily use, it is still up and running and not having any issues…Just works every time I use it. One thing you have to remember is to check the machine to make sure you shaved all of the ice or remove any remaining ice or else it will melt, and the water will drip down onto the overflow area at the base of the machine and will overflow onto the counter if a large amount of ice is left to melt in the top of the machine –>This is solely a user issue and not the products fault at all.

Great Buy. I absolutely love this. Bought for a gift for my kids! They love this. So easy to use and clean. Fun to use on hot summer days as a fun treat. Works really well. The ice comes out fast and sprays out a little, but not a big deal. Great purchase for the price. Definitely recommend buying this product.

Delight. I got this for me to make my kids a cool treat in the summer time. They are all love it. It is easy to use and the run time of 2 minutes does seem to short of time but the ice cup that holds the ice before it gets shave holds just enough for about 2 servings.

Great overall. The taste that this product produces just taste like ice (obvi) you should definitely invest in getting some nice flavor syrup . the the speed of this product was good the only bad thing was that it kept jamming and if you don’t use ALL of the ice it will leak. However with that said this product has great overall Quality stability and durability

Easy to use. Purchased for grandkids and they love it! Easy to use and clean. Regardless of ice size or blade, It really doesn’t SHAVE ice. It’s more like ice CHIPS, which was fine for the kids.
Great product, easy to use. After researching multiple snow cone machines, I decided to order this for an 8 year old for Christmas and I am very pleased with the purchase. Assembly was incredibly easy and was able to figure out use without the instructions. Quality and durability of the product are great. My 8 year old can make her own snow cones without assistance. I ended up purchasing a second machine for a 10 year old after using this one.
How it crushes ice. I bought a second one. For it does a great job. I’ll put the second 1 in my garage . For mixed drinks
