  1. Great Low impact kids watch. My daughter prefers the “no charging” .. she is 10, and we just moved her up to a buckle band. Even on the very tightest setting, it is loose for her. She is extremely tiny and long boned build. Her 8 year old cousin could not wear the slip on band, and it eventually went to a 6 year old nephew. She loves the Frozen theme and having racked up a ton of points, ended up reading half of the story on the first day. Otherwise not much change on the app from the Jr and the Jr2.She likes the colors instead of just black/white display. There are more things to earn and more step slides to choose from. The rewards are more interesting. Timers are the same except the new version has more color. She avoids the interactive app and just uses the watch features. She misses her old watch band. She does not like the buckle.Overall, Frozen Watch Garmin Jr.2 is a big win!4 month update : She still loves the watch and watchband. She’s gotten use to the extra space of the buckle band and has grown enough to need to loosen it up. Of course, that is why we bought it in the first place! She loves that she can enjoy the frozen theme – but because it is a pretty color and engraved instead of painted pictures – she looks like she’s wearing a more grown up watch. You have to be pretty close to it to see the engraved pictures.Still very happy with the watch!

  3. Only lasted 4 months before the problem but SOLUTION. UPDATE:I found out after communicating with the Garmin customer service that the battery the watch comes with start after it gets assembled so while sitting in a warehouse or store shelf it’s wasting battery. I was told the watch I bought in July was produced back in December so it totally makes sense that it died at the end of November because it’s been a year since… and that made total sense…While I do believe they do need to improve how the watch is packaged up like including an extra battery to replace so you are guaranteed a full battery life of 1 year, the solution was the replacement of the battery… I just ordered a 5 battery pack on Amazon for around $5 and switching it out was super easy… the black console pops out since the band is made out of silicon for this purpose. Unscrew some screws and you have an access to the battery… I did that and the watch came back to life!!!So if you already have this watch but died a year after and thinking about having to buy a whole new watch, you know you don’t have to do that! :-)I will update as I’m waiting to hear back from Garmin regarding the issue we are having…My daughter loves this watch and have it on her wrist everyday and it was working wonderfully for 4 months but one day we are walking our dogs and she had hit her activity goal the watch gave her a notification celebrating she completed her goal but the the goal screen would not go away and kept flashing… the only button the watch comes with was not responding and trying to sync the problem away using the app did not work so I sent Garmin an email… the next morning I looked at the watch and the screen has gone black and dead, it won’t turn on even when I push the button.I get the email from Garmin support but she suggests I remove the battery in the back to see if it will resets but I do not see any opening to get to the “battery” and I’m pretty sure she is not paying attention to which watch I’m contacting about…So I reply back and tell her I don’t see a way to get to the battery and also attached some pictures of the watch so she can see I can’t open this watch up to take out the battery and this is where we are at…I really liked the idea of not having to charge the watch for a year but then this kind of problem happens and if the Garmin customer service is a pain to deal with then this is not worth the money or time… my daughter can’t track her activity and who knows how long it will take until we can get a replacement so she can enjoy the watch again…Will keep you posted.

  5. Durable. Got this for my 4 year old son for Christmas because he wanted a watch like mine. He mostly just checks the time with it. He took it off one day and gave it to my husband to hang on to, so he put it in his pocket. Well, we forgot about it and it went through a wash and dry cycle and it still works! I haven’t had to change the battery yet so I can’t comment on that.

  6. Super fun and helpful. I love that you can add alarms, so instead of a potty watch… guess what! you can use this AND for other reminders for your child. I think it’s super fun and useful for both my child and I.

  7. Kids watch. My grandsons dog chewed it up within a week! Keep it away from dogs!!

  8. Kids watch. My grandsons dog chewed it up within a week! Keep it away from dogs!!

  9. Perfect for Ages 4 – 7or 8. This Garmin watch is perfect for the younger kiddies, right size and easy to learn. They love it ! ! !

  10. Buy extra batteries. I love Garmin products and believe a battery would last a very long time I’m this device, but the battery was dead in about 3 weeks. Going to buy some more for it today. I assume the seller bought it for resale and it’s fairly old.
