Stays sharp, but needs a better eraser. I love mechanical pencils but I have always struggled with finding the right lead size for my writing style. 0.5mm is my general preference since it allows for smaller writing, but breaks easily. 0.7mm does not break as much, but feels too thick as though the pencil needs to be “sharpened” just a little.I love these pencils because of the rotating lead design. This truly helps keep the lead feeling “sharp” and reduces the issue of the lead breaking significantly. My only complaint is eraser design. Its small and long so you can pull more eraser out, but if you erase a lot, it has to be adjust frequently, and if you put too much pressure on it, the eraser recedes back into the holder

  2. Improves writing. I bought this because I was curious about the product. I knew it had a motor inside that turns the lead as you use it and wanted to try it out just for fun more or less. I actually really like this pencil. It has a nice weight to it without being heavy that makes it so I’m able to rest my hand a bit more while still writing neatly. I bought two more on sale for my niece and nephew who love Japanese things. I think they will really enjoy writing with them in class and see their handwriting improve a bit. It’s a great gift idea if you know someone who still enjoys writing by hand.

  3. Top 3 Pencils. I really like the simplicity of this pencil. It’s silver, made out of metal, and has a nice grip overall. Writing was smooth thanks to its sharpener and all. For 8-9 bucks (which I got it for), I’d recommend this to anyone!

  4. Sharp lines. The kuru toga engine spins the pencil lead every time you push down. When you push down it isn’t very noticeable compared to other kuru toga pencils but that also means that the lead spins a bit slower. If you write in cursive the pencil probably isn’t the best for you as it only spins the lead when you lift the pencil and push down.

  5. It works like a charm. The product is very smooth to write with the metal grip feels great in my hands. It’s weighted lower to where you write which makes you have better handwriting. It also looks great, but the only downside is the price of around 10 bucks.

  6. Amazing pencil, for some people. This pencil is really amazing to use, it’s a very different experience than a typical mechanical pencil. The quality of the pencil is very good and feels like it’s valuable. While this pencil is amazing to use, it really isn’t for everyone, if you are known for losing pencils or only really use them for school then I would suggest just buying those 100 packs of cheap ones. I use this mostly for school but I’m also a stem major so I am constantly writing things or doing math and pencil just makes writing so smooth.

  8. So close, yet so far. The Kuru Toga Roulette is an amazing pencil for writing. It has a great grip, decent weight, and good value for money overall. There are only a few things that make this pencil so close to perfection. For one, the clip. The clip came un-centered with the Kuru Toga Engine window, which I fixed by moving it. However, I noticed that the clip doesn’t fully surround the little notch in the body, which makes it loose. Secondly, the retractable tip. This pencil is my go-to writing pencil ever since I got it. However, I have to be cautious in order not to break the tip, which will make the pencil useless if I do so. Overall, great writing experience and value for money. 4.4/5.

  9. Black Lead Pencil. This product was exactly what i was looking for. I am soooo glad I found this with all the led it has with the entire pencil. Sooo great for the price you get it all. A lot of people say why are you buying pencils, this is such a Class Act for people in Acounting or people come through your offfice, they notice your Classy pencil. I always tell them where they can get this Super writing Pencil. Try this one out!!!

What a Joy. I have terrible handwriting, always have. Back when penmanship was part of our school grades, my scores suffered. I saved and saved and bought my first mechanics pencil and quickly burned through the fragile leads. I press overly hard when I write and I write in a rush, so whatever I’m writing with, takes a beating. I read about the Uni Kuru Toga and bought it. (First time I got same day delivery too! What a day!) This pencil is a joy to write with. It feels sturdy and as I wrote I could tell in the feedback that the lead had turned and was even on the paper. My handwriting still is terrible. I did break the lead twice while writing what’s in the pictures. I wrote on a Moleskine ruled notebook. This pack comes with 3 containers of leads. The smaller containers I combined the leads and used the empty one to hold the 5 erasers than came with it. The knurled grip on the barrel really feels nice in the hand and allows great control. I love this pencil right out of the package. Uni, in my experience really takes pride in the quality of products they produce regardless of “price point”. Across lines they produce quality products for affordable prices that are just a joy to use. A+

  11. Works for me. Writes well, comfort is OK, not super comfortable. Can write stable and for long periods of time. It’s not luxurious look and have a standard look. It’s plastic look and feel. It’s weight is good, not too heavy for large hands like mine, but if u have small ones idk. It’s easy to use and although I wanted a more premium feel pencil with retractable tip, I’m OK with the purchase. I wish it was priced better, I don’t think it should cost approx. 15$, it should be way less.

Best pencil. I sometimes write small when consolidating notes and having a smaller lead greatly helps on the letter legibility. Having the lead auto rotate is the cherry on top. I would suggest getting a pack of Pentel erasers so that you don’t go through the erasers for this pencil. I don’t think you can buy more erasers for this pencil and considering how small they are, you would use them all up in a weak if you write a lot.

  13. My new favorite drawing tool. I was a bit skeptical about this product, but now it has become my favorite pencil ever. Really smooth, has a nice weight, and the consistent quality of the strokes are really worth the price.

  14. Wonderful pencil. This pencil is amazing, stop using the old style that you have to reposition in your fingers every few words to stay on the sharp point, this rotates as you write! My only complaint is the eraser, not very good. It’s small kinda hard to change

Best mechanical pencil I’ve ever had. This pencil feels solid in the hand and is very well-made . The grip is knurled to insure there is no slippage and is slightly wider than the body itself; all of which means that you don’t need to grip it tightly and eases strain. The pen looks great. My handwriting is sharp and clean. I highly recommend.
