More adult palette. The difference between these and the regular green-and-yellow box is the color choices. That is all. I did side-by-side comparisons, and these are exactly the same pencils. However, the palette is more mature and corresponds with common adult coloring book themes. (Lots of greens, blue-grays and pinks.) Some of the candy colors that kids love have been left out. You can get all these new colors as well as the old ones in the 120-pencil box, although lately the price has been erratic and sometimes Amazon has them for @ $26 and sometimes wants $35+ for them. I got these on sale for about half a buck less than the traditional box was going for, and I prefer these colors, so it was a no-brainer for me. I have nearly used up my 120 box and don’t think I will miss the other colors. If I decide I want them, I will probably just get a traditional box too and end up with all the colors and lots of spares to use as replacements at less per unit than I would have paid for the 120 box.If you are an adult and don’t color much and can’t imagine ever using a whole box of 100 pencils, I would recommend this box. My reasoning is that these colors are more suited to adult coloring than the traditional ones (which I think are terrific, too.)I think people are prejudiced against Crayola because they associate them with crayons and are so surprised when they give these a try that they automatically assume these are better than the originals. They aren’t. Crayola makes a good product that lends itself very well to adult coloring. They aren’t as pigmented as Prismacolor and other artist’s brands. They don’t blend as easily as those soft-core brands because they are harder, but that also means you don’t use a whole pencil every three or four pages. For those of us with meager budgets, that’s important.For coloring, the most significant difference between these and artist’s pencils, IMHO, is that those are usually much more colorfast and lightfast than Crayolas. I do have artist’s pencils I use for my original “artwork” that I want to frame or keep, but I don’t display or gift my coloring pages, and no one is ever going to pay me for one, so that doesn’t matter at all to me.

Nice selection. Good selection of colors. But be careful when you sharpen them, points seem to break easily.

Great for Grown-Up Coloring. As an adult, I recently picked up the hobby of coloring for a fun, relaxing activity. I don’t need professional grade colored pencils, but wanted ones that would work well and provide a large variety of useful colors for a good price. These deliver on all counts. I am very happy with my purchase.

The colors are perfect for light duty coloring. The pencils are just fine but the box probably won’t hold up very long so I have put tape around it to try and keep it shape as long as possible.I would order these again.

Perfect for coloring. They blend very nicely for cheaper pencils. I enjoy using them in my coloring books.

Nice pencil set. This is a nice set of colored pencils. I wish it was accompanied with a pencil sharpener though. Who even has pencil sharpeners any more? These are soft, easy for coloring and pretty shades.

Extensive set with lots of shades – great value. Many more shades of every color. Really allows more creativity. The leads are soft enough to allow great control of how depth of color. Appreciate the light pastel shades not found in other sets. Last a long time too. Will definitely buy again.

Colored pencils. 50 count set. Already sharpened…appreciated that. Given to 10yo girls for xmas. They loved all the colors!
