GREAT Skirt WITH POCKETS! (Only Drawback So Far Is I Suck At Tying Knots). A little background: Had to invest in some Nice Clothes for office work. When I realized that (with current undergarments) I had about 40 – 32- 40 measurement, I decided that for “dressy casual” or “business casual” in modest but flattering styles, I clearly had to look to the vintage styles of the 1950s/60s or so, which Belle Poque apparently excels at taking inspiration from. At less than $30 for a skirt WITH POCKETS, I was more than willing to give it a try..My verdict, after wearing it for one afternoon and evening? This is 100% my New Favorite Skirt, 10/10Fits. Like. A. DREAM. And so comfy! It moves elegantly, and flatters my figure without being overly tight or uncomfortable – Not even in the waist, and in was seriously wary of wearing something that fat above my hop since I’ve had bad experiences with fits in the past but its GREAT. Fabric is a lovely color, close I think to the pictures, nicely saturated and consistent; it feels slightly waterproof ish but without feeling sweltering in FLORIDA SUMMER HEAT?? like…what kind of wizardry did they make this with? AND IT HAS POCKETS! Decent sized ones, too! I can fit my whole (admittedly small) hand SPLAYED and up to past the wrist, with no constriction and room to spare, so yes most phones, keychains, wallets, lip balm etc will easily fit. So comfortable I practically forgot I was wearing it, and for those who skew femme, it’s a very pretty and classy look that can work as well with casual as Business casual. I loved it within minutes of getting it on and continued to the rest of the day, so much so I’m definitely planning to collect it in other colors!Literally the only issue I’ve had is keeping the tie actually, you know, tied…but that has nothing to do with the skirt and everything to do with my inability to tie a knot right 😅
Super Cute, Not Forgiving. I absolutely LOVE this skirt and the flow of it. I didnt pay that much attention to it being a zippered skirt. Not a deal breaker totally but there is absolutely NO give in the skirt. It is not stretchy whatsoever. The XXL is kinda snug on me and I was worried if it would actually zip or not. I usually wear an 18 in pants and its pushing it. Since it has no give, I was torn with keeping it or not. I decided to keep it because its just that adorable and they dont have it currently in XXXL but any weight gain and it will be a no for me any longer. I love that it has pockets! Definitely worth the try!!
Perfect A-line skirt. This skirt is great! It’s a light and silky material that doesn’t cling and flows beautifully. It sits on my natural waist like I was wanting. It has slight stretch in the back of the waistband which is nice.I’m 11 weeks pregnant and already had the lower curves making many dress fittings a challenge. My lower pooch can’t be sucked in anymore and I wanted something flattering that I could wear for a few more weeks until this pregnant belly is undeniable. This skirt is very flattering, especially for someone with wide hips like me. I plan to wear this to church and may have to buy more colors!I’m wearing an XL for reference. My natural waist is 34.5” but my hips/butt are 52”. Hope that’s helpful!
Good Costume Piece to be Incorporated in Normal Wardrobe. I bought this as a costume piece for a show, and it worked so well. It easily fit a crinoline under it for a nice flare but still looked just as good without the crinoline. It’s not sheer and has a little give depending on whether you wear your skirt at your natural waist or lower. You can also tie the bow tighter or looser to adjust the fit slightly. The bow can be tied anywhere along the waistline which I love. I plan to incorporate this skirt into my professional wardrobe and have bought a second skirt in another color.
It’s a nice skirt. NOTE: I definitely recommend purchasing a petticoat to wear under it to floof it out. I’m wearing one in my pictures to give it more of that 50s A-line shapeDISLIKES: The fabric of the skirt is kinda cheap and prone to wrinkling, you will have to iron it. The ribbons to tie the bow are even in length so if u tie it to one side as pictured one ribbon will be longer than the other.LIKES: the dress was true to size, has a zipper in the back, AND IT HAS POCKETS!!!!🩷🩷🩷🩷
Literally my most favorite article of clothing. These skirts are literally my most favorite article of clothing. Like I’ve come to be known by them at work. They are super cute, comfortable, durable, and they have good sized pockets! I currently have 2 blacks, one wine red, one navy, and one yellow in this style (5 total) and I want all of the other colors and I want to try their other styles. For some reason the yellow one that I got has a second layer underneath, but I honestly didn’t even notice it the first time I wore it. The lining in that one is super soft, so I don’t think it’s a problem, I just thought it was strange that that one had it and none of the others did lol. I have a lot of sensory issues and I also get hot really easily and I love love love these. Will definitely continue to keep buying them.
Cute, functional, but fabric is a little thin. The material was a little thin, but the skirt fit based on what amazon said would likely fit me. The material is very flowy and the length is exactly what I expected. It does feel a little cheap, but only to me. I love how, as a plain black skirt, I can put almost any of my blouses over it and it matches perfectly.
Love this skirt ❤️. Bought 2 different colors, Grey and wine Red. Fit to size Large. Such a refreshing look , right length, color is as pic. Style is beautifully made. For those who dont understand how to iron this material, i iron inside out. I wore it to church , so pretty the fit is awesome! I will buy more colors, I am a large , 5″6′ 190lbs the large fits perfectly. The pockets a plus , no bulk i love the material. ❤️ 5 stars.
Good skirt. Bow skills help. Thin but comfortable, cute, and flexible. I just wish I could tie the strips in a bow like n the pic. I certainly do not know how the tied it on the side because there’s not enough length … I mean, the strips are on the side seams and the same length do tying it on the side means one end is MUCH longer than the other. And you can’t twist it on your waste because they start at the two side seems and half of the waste is scrunched with elastic. But the bow not being in the side isn’t a dealbreaker because the rest is great.
Very stylish. I haven’t had the chance to wear this yet but I have tried it on. It looks so attractive on. It is very flowy as well. It hits really close to my shins. The band is a little stretchy. I weigh 147 lbs and got a medium.
