Designed to slip into doorways from 24 to 36 inches wide, the Multi-Grip Pull-Up Bar can be installed anywhere you have a sturdy doorframe. But, if you have a permanent location in mind, it can also be mounted to the doorframe with the optional, included J brackets. Thanks to the multi-grip design, you will be able to develop your back, chest, shoulders, arms, and abdominal compound muscles with one simple piece of equipment. In addition to traditional pull-ups and chin-ups, the bar allows you to perform closed-wide angle and hammer grips as well as multiple leg raises and oblique curls. Built to last, the Multi-Grip Pull-Up Bar is constructed of high-grade steel with ProSource Comfort Grip Foam for a secure and pain-free grip. The bar’s maximum weight capacity is 300 pounds within a sturdy doorframe.Multi-Grip for Muscular DevelopmentThe ProSource Multi-Grip Pull-Up Bar is a simple and efficient way to strengthen your entire upper body in the comfort of your own home. 10 cushioned foam grips and 2 PVC textured handles give you the ability to perform variations of wide, hammer, close-grip pull-ups and chin-ups. It’s mobility also allows you to store it away quickly. And at 41-inches long, it provides a wider grip than smaller versions that limit your range of motion. Great for both men and women due to its versatility. It’s also super convenient for getting in a great workout at home anytime – ideal for workout programs like P90X. Strengthen your back, shoulders, arms, and abs from a variety of angles with just one affordable piece of equipment!Consistency is keyPull-ups are one of the most beneficial exercises, yet also one of the most difficult to master. Having a pull-up/chin-up bar at home in your line of sight is a helpful reminder to keep practicing! The more consistent you are, the quicker your strength and coordination will improve. And since no one likes to be seen at the gym struggling to reach a pull-up bar or unable to complete a reps, you can practice at home in privacy until you’re ready to impress your friends! The additional upper body strength will compliment you in other athletic endeavors as well as improve your daily functionsGreat product!

  2. An Effective and Affordable Option for At-Home Fitness. I am normally not one to leave written reviews, but there are a few things that I feel must be addressed given the amount of negative reviews.1) The build quality is just fine. The construction is sturdy; the assembly is all metal tubing, including the support that goes over the top of your doorframe. It does move a bit when applying my 170lbs of bodyweight, but that is definitely due to the foam padding compressing against my doorframe.2)The product was true to the measurements provided. MEASURE THE WIDTH OF YOUR DOOR! Every review section for one of these type of pull-up bars are inevitably filled with people who don’t take the time to measure anything first, and I used to be one of those people. My door has a with of 36in. and I needed a replacement for my SPRI “premium” pullup bar, which worked fine, but was just barely wide enough to fit. This ProsourceFit bar was true to the 41 in. width that was stated and it fits perfectly in my door with plenty of clearance. If this bar is not wide enough for you, you may have an unusually wide door. I would say it can fit your door if the opening is up to 38in. wide, any more and I’d be a little nervous.3) This product includes two optional j-brackets to help secure the bar to the top of your doorframe. They are NOT meant to take the full load of your bodyweight and one look at the provided wall anchors and screws should tell you that (Don’t be stupid like the guy in that one video review above, he doesn’t even have the right type of doorframe for this bar). These are only intended to help keep the bar from slipping away from the door if you so choose to use them. Personally, I don’t find them necessary. If you are okay with drilling these into your wall, you might as well get a full-blown wall-mounted bar for a bit more money.4) Understand that these types of pull-up bars WILL damage your doorframe and the wall above your door, unless you add some additional protection. Yes, all of them. This kind of foam grip material is not enough even though ProsourceFit has provided a generous amount of padding. With the amount of force even my 170lbs frame exerts there will inevitably be some damage. Either prepare to patch it up in the future, or use some towels as others have mentioned.5) Remember what these bars are intended for. They are designed as a cheap and affordable at-home option for bodyweight resistance training, controlled movement. They are inherently not as secure as a free-standing or wall-mounted bar. Make sure the bar is securely hooked on top of your door, keep the force of your movement down/ forward and you will be fine (this is why kipping is a no-no on these). Think before you act, and you won’t end up on a gym fails compilation.6) I don’t ever recommend using these types of bars as push-up handles or dip bars as advertised but it can work. I also don’t really use the additional grips to often, but sometimes I do hammer-grip pull-ups. I highly recommend getting a set of gymnastics rings to help fill these roles. Rings work just fine on this bar and they come in real handy for assistance work too. They helped me work up to my first full range pull-ups 3 years ago and now they are helping me on the way to the one-arm pull-up, one-arm push-up, and pistol squat. They are also useful for the support hold and L-sit. With only a bar and rings I’ve seen great results. So, given all the above points, I would definitely recommend this bar (along with a pair of rings). It was worth the money. Don’t be dissuaded by the negative reviews, the 4.5 star average is that way for a reason. If you’re looking for a pull-up bar that fits a wider door frame this is it.

Requires No Tools or Special Set Up – Just Hang Up and GO. After the foam padding came off our old pullup bar system and discovering that it was cheaper to purchase a new bar as opposed to buying new padding, we purchased the ProsourceFit Multi-Grip Lite Pull Up/Chin Up Bar to replace the old bar. The ProsourceFit Multi-Grip Pull Up Bar is an excellent replacement for our old bar. Unlike our old bar which was literally just a bar that was screwed into the doorframe, this bar is a full system with multiple grips so you can perform your pull-ups while isolating different muscles. You can perform the standard overhand and underhand grips, but this bar allows for the hammer grip where your palms face each other. Because of the bar extends past the doorframe, some may also be able to perform wider stance grips. As far as installation goes, the bar can be installed without the use of any tools – simply hang over the doorframe and you’re ready to go. The only “complaint” I have with this bar is that I cannot close the door of our study with it in place – but it’s a very minor complaint because it’s easy enough to simply lift out of the doorway when needed. Overall, this is a very well-made pull-up bar that the son and husband enjoy using daily as part of their upper body workout. It’s reasonably priced, well made, and something I would purchase again.

  5. Sturdy Construction, Limited Door Frame Compatibility – A Three-Star Review. I recently purchased the ProsourceFit Multi-Grip Lite Pull Up/Chin Up Bar to enhance my upper body workout routine conveniently at home. While the bar boasts sturdy construction and multiple grip options, I found its compatibility with certain door frames to be limited, resulting in a three-star rating. One of the standout features of this pull-up/chin-up bar is its heavy-duty build. The steel construction instills confidence in its durability, ensuring it can handle the rigors of regular use. The foam padding on the grips adds comfort during workouts, reducing strain on the hands and making it more pleasant to use.The multi-grip design is a great advantage, allowing for various hand positions during pull-ups and chin-ups. This versatility targets different muscle groups, enhancing the effectiveness of upper body workouts. It’s a valuable feature for those looking to diversify their exercise routine and focus on specific muscle groups. However, I encountered an issue with the bar’s compatibility with certain door frames. While it fit securely on standard door frames, I found that it did not properly fit on some wider or non-standard door frames in my home. This limitation was disappointing as it restricted my ability to use the bar in certain areas of my house. The installation process was relatively straightforward, with no need for additional tools or drilling. The adjustable design allows for easy setup and removal, making it convenient for users who want to install and remove the bar as needed.I did notice some movement and slight instability during my workouts, particularly when using the outer grips. This could be a concern for individuals who prefer a completely stable bar for pull-ups and chin-ups. It’s important to use the bar with caution and ensure it is securely installed on a compatible door frame. In conclusion, the ProsourceFit Multi-Grip Lite Pull Up/Chin Up Bar offers sturdy construction and multiple grip options for effective upper body workouts. Its steel build and foam padding enhance the overall exercise experience. However, the limited compatibility with certain door frames and slight instability during use impact its usability and functionality. If you have standard-sized door frames and are looking for a versatile and reasonably priced pull-up/chin-up bar, this model might suit your needs. However, if you have wider or non-standard door frames, it’s important to check its compatibility before purchasing to avoid potential disappointment.

  6. Results. Initially because of low back pain just wanted to hang. But hanging gets boring so I started doing exercises. I do pull ups and chin ups. At 6’0 tall in a door with an RO of 8’0 I have to lift my legs to free hang, that’s not the devices fault but if you’re tall hopefully you have a tall opening. I don’t go to the gym, I’m fairly toned and all I own is this and a roman chair. Seems sturdy, I think I’m going to destroy my door trim before this thing gives

Got this as a gift and he loves it. I bought this for a gift to my friend’s son who recently got involved in rowing and wanted to keep his arms in shape during the summer vacation. He uses it everyday and is happy that I got him this one rather than the one he asked for due to this one having multiple ways to use it.

  8. Very versatile and sturdy but leaves marks on door frame. Overall, it’s a very good product. It’s easy to assemble, fits a pretty standard-sized door well, and has lots of grips for working different muscle groups. The one major downside is that it will leave marks where the pads meet the door frame. You can scrub it off, but those marks eventually become permanent though still very subtle.

  9. Gets the Job DONE. I bought these for my man who is into working out but can’t go to the gym rn. Came on time, well packaged, and easy to put together. He has used this pull up bar as often as he goes to the kitchen where I put it which is several times a day. He couldn’t pull himself up at first but after trying over a course of Maybe 2 to 3 days he was able to. Now he is about 3 weeks in and MAN those results are real. He can do at least 10 at a time and I can physically see and feel how much stronger he is by using this item. He said he gives it 10/10 and will buy again if needed. We recommend this item and I can say as long as you stay vigilant you will see results. Super sturdy, hasn’t damaged the door frame, and worked well for push ups as well.

Solid, but the grips wear down quick. You’re getting what you pay for. Assembly was fairly easy and it does what I need it to do, but the foam grips on it seem to be wearing out faster than I’d expect them to.

  13. Home pull up bar. I purchased this pull up bar in the midst and chaosOf the pandemic as I needed to keep up with my workout. The height is pretty much how it is installed on your doorway. Pretty sturdy and easy to install. All hardware is included. Holds weight very well. And is aligned to my door frame. I am 5.9 and I still have to do a light jump or stretch my arms to reach.

  14. Nice and sturdy, easy assembly, not an eye sore. Got it for my boyfriend and he loves it, he uses it every time he walks through the door way lol. He’s happy and I’m satisfied. Great product, easy assembly, and very sturdy.

  15. Sturdy and comfortable. This is my second doorway pull up bar and I like it a lot! I like that it’s “shorter” so I don’t have to bend my legs as much to keep them off the ground when doing pull-ups. The foam is also denser so it’s more comfortable to grip than my other pull up bar. It’s super sturdy and I like all the different grips you can take to train different muscles! Highly recommend to add to your daily routine!
