The color Pinky Ring is priced low as lipsticks are flawed/broken in that shade, but.. . (READ ON!). As other reviewers have mentioned, Wet ‘n Wild clearly suffered a manufacturing oops with their production run of the color Pinky Ring. I’m not sure how I landed on the Amazon listing for this product because I was actually on the hunt for a pinkish-nude gloss or lipstick that would be flattering on fair skin, and yet, I purchased this (on a whim) with some other products. (“Hello, my name is Laura and I’m a makeup junkie.”) In the listing images, it looked like it may be a bit more pink than I was looking for, but the reviews for the product are pretty raving, and at such a bargain (under $2?), I had to give it a try.It arrived quickly. As soon as I saw the color in-person, it’s very (VERY) bright bubblegum candy pink. In the tube, it looks very leaning tower of Piza-ish – leaning over to one side, so it’s definitely prone to breakage. You can see in my last image how the side of the brand new product is jacked up because it’s not standing straight in the tube. It’s 100% guaranteed to break, and is going to be pretty messy with product already smearing on the outside of the tube as a result. (For whatever reason, I can’t seem to add that picture to my review. I’ll try again later.) Keeping that in mind, I won’t be turning it up and out of the tube much or often (if at all); rather, I’ll be applying it with a lip brush in an attempt to prevent those issues. However, for my trial and first use, enough sticks out over the tube that I just applied normally. With one swipe, the color is soft and transparent (and pretty much what I was looking for), but since it’s a lipstick, you really do need a few swipes to cover your lips. This provides more coverage and opacity, so the color gets brighter. I don’t feel like the images shown truly represent the color, so I’ve included an image taken in normal household tungsten light (soft white for most indoor bulbs), another taken in bright indirect daylight, (which is a more blue colored light), and the last taken in sunlight, which falls somewhere in between the first two.The formula is nice. It feels light but moisturizing on the lips. It has a lovely sheen that’s not as shiny as a true gloss, but is shinier than most lipsticks. As to be expected with any formula that’s on the more moisturizing side, it doesn’t last all day. I have to reapply about once an hour, less if I’m not actively drinking something. I would not expect this to last through any kind of snacking or a meal.Would I repurchase? Probably not. The color is a bit brighter than I’d like, but I can see myself wearing this in the summer with more of a tanned look. I reach for gloss more than lipstick, so this tube will last me forever. However, if the color selection were expanded and there was a color that was what I was looking for, I’d definitely repurchase as I do like the formulation for a lipstick. It’s not like a lipgloss and a lipstick had a baby, it’s more like a lipstick whose grandparents are lip glosses! 🙂

Doing a one-eighty on my original review. Yesterday, I wrote that this balm had little color or shine and I would likely never use it, as I was looking for a shiny lipstick to replace the late, great Revlon Glass Shine in Rum Raison. The thing is I’m no stranger to new lipsticks and should have known it takes a few applications to wear down that initial nothing’s-happening wax-only coating. Initial applications are never representative of what you see later. Yesterday, I was getting all wax/very little pigment. Today? WOW! True, the formula is more creamy than glossy, but if you reach for the product over a few days, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the rich but semi-sheer color.I took a photo of me wearing the Lust Red and really wanted to show you how fab it is. But when I went to add a photo from my phone gallery, Amazon wanted unlimited access to my photos/camera. Absolutely nNO WAY, Amazon! Used to be you could only share what you wanted. No way does Amazon need to be all up in my business like that so you’ll have to trust me: I’m a pale, green-eyed woman with graying long cool red hair. Normally, I don’t like red lips with red hair, but Lust Red is that rare thing: A universally-flattering neutral red. It would look great on ANYONE. And it’s buildable so you can make it casual or va-va-va-VOOM! It’ll be a go-to for me. Just give it a few tries to REALLY see what you have.
Moisturizing lipstick. This lipstick was moisturizing and the two colors I bought were pretty. This is a heavier lipstick than the Silk finish, and the color was more opaque. I was expecting a more thin balmy feeling, but it definitely feels more like lipstick than lip balm.No shimmer in the colors I chose, and I did not have any feathering or sinking into my natural lip lines. The colors did not stain, and wore off pretty evenly, without leaving an outside ring. Even when the color had worn off, my lips still felt moisturized.I bought Strawberry Lingerie and Pinky Ring, and they both performed similarly. I hope they come up with more colors, since I’d like a nice peach and red for Fall.
Like this as well as more expensive brands. Ordered this for my purse as I didn’t want to carry more expensive brand in my purse. It is very hot here and I have had tubes of lipstick actually melt in the past. I am happy to say that the quality is very good. It goes on smoothly, is somewhat sheer with a shine that is flattering. I was afraid it might be a deep matte red but it is instead more translucent with a bit of an orange red color. Subtle, but with that extra hint of color that is nice for the summer. Why have I ever spent so much more on lipsticks? This stuff is perfect.
Better as blush. I love using this lipstick as a blush. It fives the perfect orange peach cream blush color. It isnt super pigmented on the lips and it doesnt apply well. It shows all the cracks on my lips so it must be used with a lip liner. The color is gorgeous i just wish it were another forumla. I would rebuy to use as a cream blush though
It’s a $2 lipstick–get more. This doesn’t have a lot of staying power, but for $2, I’ll probably get more colors. This is kind of between a lipstick and a gloss as far as coverage goes. This is nice for a quick reapplication and I can see layering this over a lipstick with more staying power.
Soft, but wears well. Super great price means I’m willing to use a lip brush when it broke first time using. Color is medium coverage
Lip stick. I liked it I just wish it stayed on longer but the price was a 10 score! Nice color.
Inner lip. I have one of those inner lips that certain lipsticks won’t cover. If you have the same, you know what I mean, and this product doesn’t cover it. Although, it gives tons of shine and gloss on what it does cover, and the color is beautiful. Can try to make it work with foundation, and blend with gloss, but it’s almost a lip liner for my lips.
Love These!!!! – Casual Lipstick User. TLDR: get them!!Caveat: I’m only a casual lipstick user and am happy with all types of formulas such as stains, mattes, liquid lips, opaque, sheer; love it all. These are creamy, moisturizing, comfortable, balm-like, and not long lasting. I wouldn’t carry these with me, they are rather delicate and soft, loose in the tube, even in cool temps. Depot if you like.First picture taken indoor in artificial, warm light. Second picture, outside, bright sun. “C” represents Clothes Off, “M” represents Mad for Mauve.I have very pale, cool toned skin, incredibly pale/blue lips. Mad for Mauve is perfection and my absolute favorite color of lipstick I have ever owned. It actually goes well with my blue-ish lips and is a really natural light pink. I’m in love. Clothes Off is also great and only slightly warmer.I can see these being lovely additions to almost anyone’s collection as they are medium/sheer pigmented. Not for a bold look, definitely more natural. They are a great price, I got mine for $1.30. I will definitely buy more.
Great color and shine. I recently tried the wet n wild Mega Last High-Shine Lipstick, and I’m loving it! The color payoff is fantastic, and it glides on smoothly without feeling heavy. Infused with oils, it keeps my lips feeling nourished and hydrated throughout the day.I appreciate the glossy finish that gives my lips a lovely pop without being overly sticky. The range of shades is impressive too, making it easy to find the perfect hue for any occasion. Overall, this lipstick is a great addition to my beauty routine, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for vibrant color and hydration in one product!
This item is not the color that it shows in the picture. The color is super pretty and its very moisturizing. Just not the color I thought I was getting, its very pink and rose colored and not at all the purplish brown I thought it would be.
Perfect fall/winter semi dark neutral. Love it just love it applies nicely, great for fall and winter, also warmer seasons for going out or romantic occasionI have light olive complexion, color is a smokey plum sophisticated smart med/neutral color, elegant chic has a slight shimmer truly a great color
fantastic base for me. i got this because i thought the color would be a really good pinkish nude for me and my complexion, and this lipstick is actually a FANTASTIC base for every lip combo i’ve tried. it makes the bolder colors a little less bold and startling and it mixes well with every lipstick for me. it’s smooth and goes on smoothly and it feels moisturizing.the only issue i have (which is why it’s 4/5 and not 5/5) is that the actual lipstick kind of moves around within the tube so i think i’ll probably have some problems with that later on. otherwise this lipstick is fantastic and i will absolutely be buying more when i need it. fantastic, especially for the price
Moisturizing, creamy lip balm lipstick. UPDATE: This tube of lipstick isn’t the same as the previous one I bought. It’s not as creamy, opaque or thick as the previous one. I still like it, the color is the same, but I don’t like the texture and coverage as much. I think the company tried to make the stick firmer so it wouldn’t break. It definitely seems like it, but some of the creamy, moisturizing properties are reduced. Bummer. I would buy again because it’s still a great value, but I’m not as in love with it now. I love this lipstick which I would describe as like a balm, super creamy and moisturizing and yet not sticky! The tube is adorable, and the lid didn’t crack or fall off like you’ll see with some cheaper lipstick tubes. The color Rose & Slay is a muted pinkish-mauve color that is great for a natural look. It is so easy to apply and doesn’t run or bleed. It also does not last very long, but for the price, I’m not complaining. After awhile, the one I bought prior to this purchase did break, as it is definitely a softer stick. But I put what remained into a little pot to use it up because I love it so much. I give this wet n wild Mega Last High-Shine Lipstick Lip Color 5 stars because for the exceptionally low price, it delivers!
Imparts Moisture And Moderate Shine. The shine of this lipstick is a little less than that of a lip gloss. Since it feels oil based, I feel this would be easy to remove with a micellar water makeup remover. The texture is just right; not thick or thin. Perhaps it’s thus since I applied it with a lip brush. This lipstick is fragrance free. I purchased the color Sangria Time which in reality is a medium toned purple with a very slight bluish iridescent finish. It looks flattering against my deep complexion that has cool undertones.
Better quality than expected. Very moisturizing, absolutely wonderful color; first product received had the bullet broke, but they sent a replacement very fast. The bullet is smaller than typical which I like. Not a long lasting formula but plan on buying more colors. The price is amazing for the product.
It’s a good one. A real nice value. Perfect color, long lasting and moisturizing for my dry lips.
