  1. Back to 5 Stars – Sourced and Processed in USA. I’ve been buying Stewart Freeze Dried Beef Liver for my dogs for 20 years. It’s been a go-to treat that’s healthy and tasty for my pooches. The tubs always had “sourced and made in the USA” emblazoned on the lid and side of the tub, with prominent American Flag. That’s what you need to see to know what’s what. Many treats have an American Flag, and something like “processed in”. If something is sourced, made, processed etc. in the USA, rest assured the company will be screaming it from the highest tower.Sadly, with my most recent giant tub purchase, I noticed new packaging. Nothing new, companies often refresh their packaging. What is missing however is the giant American Flag on the lid, and tub. Now, there’s a tiny little flag back by the nutrition panel that says “freeze dried in”. Great. One more fantastic product falls by the wayside. This is a pricey product as-is, and there are other companies that are either sourced in the USA, Canada or New Zealand and state as much on the package. Until they decide to become transparent and list where it’s sourced, I’ll make the assumption it’s from China and laced with lead and assorted pesticides.[edit 5/24]I’m revising my review for Stewarts. The past 3 buckets I’ve purchased are sourced and processed in the good old US of A. I’m going to assume that the issue arose with our supply chain problems, so to be fair, they can’t be blamed for that. I wish there was a bit more transparency, but then it’s hard to change packaging when you don’t know when things will be back to normal. Anyway, I’ve been buying these for 21 years now, and am happy to report that I will continue to stick with Stewarts![edit 1/25]They’ve improved even further and are back to what I originally fell in love with years ago. The past 2 buckets I’ve purchased have been amazing. There’s no longer any weird shapes or crumbly pieces at all. They’ve all been universally the exact size of Dice (maybe a tad smaller), perfectly square and uniform firm texture. This is what I was buying 2003-2015. They obviously listen to feedback, have improved and I respect that. I know in this economy and screwed up supply chain it’s not easy. But Stewarts has earned my loyalty after 2 decades and a short rough path. 100% USA. Whole healthy single ingredient protien for your fur baby or hairy adult. Highly recommended.

Not just for dogs. I bought these for my little dog who is very picky about what she eats. I like the fact that they are 100% chicken breast and totally USA sourced and packaged. But even more than that, my picky little dog loves this treat! The pieces vary in size from about thumb size to crumbs, but my dog will lick all the crumbs out of her bowl to get every piece. But what a pleasant surprise that one of my cats likes these treats more than the dog! Now if I feed one, I have to give the other treats too or they snatch it from each other. I am very happy with this product.

  5. How to be the most popular human at the dog park. These freeze-dried beef liver treats are like crack for dogs (and some cats as well). I work in a metropolitan train station as an elevator operator. The elevator is used on a daily basis by neighborhood dog owners to go from the lower ave. to the highest ave. in the neighborhood for to access the dog park. I needed a single ingredient made in the USA treat that I could give to my furbaby grandchildren as I refer to them. I have been giving these treats for over a year and I have been informed by several furbaby parents that I am the talk of the dog park. In all the time I have given these out I have only had 1 dog decline a treat. The rest of my babies love them. These treats come in mixed sizes which is perfect for me because I have all different size dogs 🐕 coming through on a daily basis. The running joke is the ” one for the road”. I usually give the babies 2 to 3 pieces while I talk with their humans. When we finish the conversation I always have to give the humans a couple of bribe pieces and say to the furbaby ” mommy or daddy has them”. Then I say “your 1 for the road” and give them their last one for the day. They love them, and I feel good giving them a single ingredient treat sourced and prepared in the USA 🇺🇸. These treats are a quality protein source and the container that they arrive in keeps them fresh . Only 1 time have I had an issue with 1 tub of treats and I emailed the company. They asked for a photo showing the issue I was addressing and that same week I had a replacement. These treats ARE WELL WORTH THE PRICE, you get what you pay for. I am a loyal repeat customer and can highly recommend this product

Wonderful training tool. We’ve taught our puppy to gently take treats from our hands using these treats. We hand chunks of these treats to our guests who arrive at the front gate to teach the puppy that they’re “invitees” as opposed to an intruder. They dispense these treats to him and it keeps him from trying to bite or jump or bark at them. The chunks are irregularly sized/shaped which enables us to use them as cat treats with the smaller pieces. In fact, the cat likes to sit on top of the container to express her desire for some in the evening!

  8. Our dog who does not love any food, really, really likes these, sometimes. Our vet demonstrated how much our dog would like these and she does. Not when she’s having a panic attack, but when she’s not distracted by any of the other things that distract her. Which is better than most other treats, which she rejects even on a good day.One thing about them that we don’t like is that they are not even remotely uniform in size or shape. Some pieces are about 3 inches long, others 1/2 inch. They are not easy to cut because they are kind of powdery.Aside from that, dog really, really, really likes them and she does not love any foods.

  9. My Dog Had a B*ner for these. I’ve never seen him so excited for treats. We always get organic stuff, like apple this and honey oat that. These dried liver treats come in tons of sizes, so break them into smaller pieces for training. Or crush them and sprinkle them as a topper. Anyway, I’ve also never seen my puppy have a b*ner before tonight, and it was because of this liver treat.

  10. It’s like “crack” for dogs. Hold onto your doggie booties, because Stewart Freeze Dried Beef Liver Dog Treats are taking the world of pup snacks by storm – or should I say, by “breeze.” These treats are like the rock stars of the dog treat scene, with a flavor that’s so intense, your pooch might start composing love ballads to them.Imagine your furry friend’s face when you whip out a bag of these bad boys – it’s like they’ve stumbled upon a treasure chest of carnivorous dreams. One whiff and their doggy instincts will kick in, prompting them to perform feats of acrobatics that would make a circus performer jealous. But let’s not gloss over the texture – it’s like a crunchy rave happening in your pup’s mouth. Move over, boring biscuits; these treats are like the mosh pit of taste sensations. And don’t be surprised if your pup suddenly becomes a beef liver aficionado, demanding a VIP seat at the meaty feast. In a world of ordinary treats, Stewart Freeze Dried Beef Liver Dog Treats are the rock legends, the culinary headbangers, and the tail-wagging flavor explosion your furry friend never knew they needed.

  11. Amazing quality that helped keep my cat alive when it was touch-and-go. This chicken breast, which I bought as treats for my two dogs, was the first and only thing I could get my 14-year-old cat to eat when she was deathly ill and battling a serious UTI. She was on oral antibiotics for a month and didn’t eat for almost as long, about a week before she started the meds and two-plus weeks after. I tried everything: tuna, Churu, turkey, ham, milk, CatMilk, cheese, you name it. She walked away from everything except these treats, which I tore into tinier pieces. She eats a little dish of these every day now, and her appetite has expanded to include her chicken Temptations. I honestly think my kitty would have wasted away if not for this chicken. I am now subscribing and will feed her what she wants for as long as she wants! Thank you, Stewart’s!SIDE NOTE: Beef livers are also excellent for dogs. However, I had a horrible experience with my last order of the salmon product, which was more skin than fish and very poor quality. I don’t recommend it AT ALL,

  12. Beef Liver, grain free 21 ounce tub. EXCELLENT deal for beef liver!! i grind these up into powder to add to kibbles as a topper and to add to home cooked food. instead of paying anywhere from $9 & up for 3oz bags, you get 7 – 3oz bag amounts in this tub for half the cost or less.. This is great when you are using it as a replacement for 5% of real liver in your home cooked food for your dog AND the tub is a bonus for future treats to be put in it as well.. Good deal, already have two extra tubs on backup just in case they go out of stock in future or price goes up like everything still seems to be..

  13. Great Dog Treat. I can’t say whether the negative reviews were justified, but I’ve had a very positive experience with this product. The liver treats are a high-value treat that dogs love, they’re a healthy treat, and they’re a decent value in the big bucket. They were exactly what I was looking for, and exactly what I paid for. Highly recommended.

  14. Great healthy treat for my little dog. My little dog loves these liver treats. When you open the container it doesn’t smell all that great, but she loves the crunchiness of the treat. Downside to the container is that when I received it, there were a lot of little broken pieces all down at the bottom. I’m assuming this happened during shipping. Most of the pieces that are not broken are little pieces about the size of a sugar cube which is a perfect size for my little dog. She loves these treats. One thing I notice outside is that when my little dog has some of these liver treats and she goes outside to pee, there is brown dead grass everywhere she goes. Something in these liver treats kills the grass. Never had that happen before, but noticed it once she started eating these treats. Worth the price.

  16. My dogs leave a puddle of drool for these treats. I have bought these treats multiple times already and for the price I think they are the best ones on the market. Especially because I wanted to get treats that didn’t have so many weird ingredients and chemicals in them. This has been amazing for training and even the pickiest of dogs love them. The only complaint I would have is that the sizes of treat range from small to giant but I usually just break them apart. 10/10 get these!!!

  17. Yum Yum. My two Yorkies beg me for these. I had bought another brand from Amazon and they took one sniff, turned their little noses up and wouldn’t have a thing to do with the product. I thought I’d have a problem but I saw these and they were reasonably priced and I thought it was worth the try. Well wow they would eat the whole container if I allowed it. Try them they’ll love them.

  18. Excellent treats. These are great and excellent for daily treats. Dry so you can stuff in your pocket for short walks

  19. My pups love it as a food topper. recently tried the Stewart Freeze Dried Dog Treats in Beef Liver for my pup, and they have quickly become his favorite! The quality is outstanding, with a simple ingredient list that makes me feel good about what I’m giving him. These treats are packed with flavor and have a nice crunchy texture that my dog loves. I appreciate that they’re freeze-dried, preserving all the nutrients and taste. They’re perfect for training or just as a special reward, and they’re easy to break into smaller pieces if needed.I also love that they’re made in the USA, which gives me peace of mind about their safety. My dogs love these. This product is a winner in my book. My dogs love them. I like that they are not messy and do not smell bad. Since they are freeze dried, they weigh practically nothing and are very portable. My dogs have no problem chewing these. Some of the pieces are large for my dogs so I cut those down into manageable sizes for training purposes. I also like these because they are beef liver only. Not loaded down with chemicals, additives, preservatives. I like that the tub is resealable.

  24. A hit at my house. These have one ingredient, beef liver. Which is great for pets on a limited ingredient diet or who have food sensitivities to things other than beef. Break easy. There’s a variety of sizes as not all “chunks” are the same size. But they’re easy to break up if you have to. My guys love the soft yet crunchy texture. They’re high value for my pups which makes them excellent for training.

  27. My dog thoroughly enjoys. Well worth the money, plenty of treats and high quality.I wish the treats had a more consistent size, but I was able to cut the big ones down to a reasonable size no problem

  28. Topper for dinner. Love to see those wagging tails when this is added to dry kibble for dinner. Great quality, amazing amount for the price. Very healthy addition to our feeding.

Great for distraction to give my dog his insulin. Bear absolutely loves these treats. I also received a small container of chicken liver as a bonus. These are freeze dried so the texture is almost the consistency of styrofoam, sort of. Easy to cut if the chunk is too big. They don’t smell too bad – about what you’d expect but not overwhelming.Bear is an older dog but he has no problems chewing these: chewability great! He’s had zero stomach upset so the digestibility is great for him. They must taste really good compared to his other treats – I use them to give him his insulin shot since he loves them so much he gobbles them and I get that insulin in him quickly before he finishes but when I try this with another treat, he fights me on the insulin so there you go — I put smaller pieces so he has to work at it.My containers say sourced and made in the US so that’s good.

  32. Picky dog’s new favorite. If your dog is a treat fiend like mine, keep these treats in a secure spot they can’t get to. I ordered the smallest portion of these to try, since she only eats full meat treats and not cheap artificial treats. I decided to give her a few treats before I went to work (which she loved btw). When I came back from work she found where I put them and chewed through the container and ate the entirety of the treats! I had no idea she would love them that much. Will definitely be ordering them again, but this time being smart in where I’m putting them.

  33. All the dogs absolutely love them, even my picky 13 year old. All the dogs love these, as treats, or even as a smaller crushed topper to mix in kibble, for those picky eaters. I wish they had one size smaller and the bottom 1/2 inch is pretty much crumbs, but that can be due to transit. They don’t smell good for us, which is great for dogs. I can open the container, and my 13-year-old is already coming down the hallway. It’s a much healthier treat than products that have dyes and other harmful or synthetic ingredients. The tub last quite some time, so we share with my daughters’ dogs. A great Christmas gift for a dog owner with multiple pets.

  34. Freshness and turnaround time. My frenchies luv these liver treats and Amazon usually delivers within 24 hours… my vet has the same treats which makes me comfortable with feeding them to our puppies! Thank u Amazon and thank your amazing drivers…. Roxie and Rosie

  35. Perfect for my dogs. My Bulldogs need a single ingredient treat like these beef livers. They are allergic to chicken and these fit the bill perfectly. My dogs love them.

  36. EXCELLENT PRODUCT dogs LOVE! I mean go NUTS for. DOGS GO CRAZY OVER THESE! My Chessie gets SO excited he swallows whole, so I need to break up and give him smaller pieces. NICE to have a GOOD TREAT!

  37. Great treats for when you need something extra rewarding. I bought these after I took my puppy to the vet and they used them to distract him from what they were doing during his exam. He loved them so much he didn’t even notice that they had given him his shots! They are a bit hard to break up and some of the pieces are a bit large, but I like that they are just one natural ingredient and they are motivating to him.

  38. Paws down the BEST treats. Treat of choice! BY FAR.The Stewart freeze dried beef liver treats are the best!! Ive been purchasing this brand and specifically the beef for over 3 years now. The quality is consistent and always arrives sealed and fresh. The treats are perfectly sized for medium/large dogs or even small dogs who take the time to chew.I, on the other hand, generally slice the treats up or break up a treat prior to giving, as my dog would rather send me into a panic then to use his teeth to chew! The treats hollow like consistency makes this process an ease!Be prepared to solely buy Stewart’s from here forward, my dog will walk away from any other treat so quick! So It’s a 10/10 from TJ!

Great treats for dogs. My dog loves, loves, loves these. Great for training too!

  40. Great treats. My dog loves these treats! They’re his favorite. We have a 55lb Samoyed puppy and wanted to keep the ingredients we give him to a minimum. We love that these treats are 100% beef liver. They are super rewarding to him. The bin lasts us a long time and we’ve only had to purchase a few times so far. They’re easy to break apart to use smaller pieces for training. They’re a good size if you want to give bigger pieces as just one treat as well. We keep coming back and ordering these because they’re tried and true!
