  1. A real kitchen asset – long term review 1 year – recommended. After a year of using one of these as the only cooking appliance for a family of foodies, I can say it is an excellent choice. Good and bad follows, mostly good. This thing is great for what it is, and what it does. Just bought a second unit to have 4 burner ability…OK, up front – some are defective, if you get one with issues, just return it.(Hey, it costs about one pizza, delivered, after all!)It is a 1500 watt cooktop, reasonably priced, with cast iron burners. The 1500 watts means a bit slower heating than an 1800 watt unit – but if you are in a place where you can’t put it on its own 20 amp circuit breaker, you stand a better chance of actually using it. Divided into 900 and 600 watts means left side is nearly a thousand watt cooktop, right side is 20% hotter than a 500 watt cooktop. Good compromise. It gets hot, it controls the temperature reasonably well for what it is. Coil cooktops are notorious for boiling over or just sitting there, cast iron mellows out the temperature fluctuations. Countertop doesn’t get too hot, and we’ve used much larger pans than the size of the burners – though if pushed to the ridiculous, the outer edges of a big frying pan might not be quite warm enough. To be expected. We’ve prepared just about everything under the sun on these things – and it’s more economical and generates less humidity in the house than a gas stove – efficient with all pots and pans, not just the ones that are induction capable – and just as efficient – the only thing I can say is “well done”…Small, easy to transport, good for travel, too.Recommended.

  2. It works, but there’s some issues. So it definitely works, and if you’re not all that concerned about your electricity use then it’s not half bad. It will NOT, however, replace your regular stove top.Pros:LightweightFairly ThinTwo burnersPriceCons:Short cord like most appliancesDoes not get very hotDoes not do well at maintaining a constant tempIt will get water to bubble, but not to a full boil. It also does some weird power cycle thing where it cools itself off a bit then heats back up. Idk man, it’s kinda weird. All in all, I’d buy it again at the same price ($25 at time of purchase) but not if it were higher. We purchased it to help us conserve our propane in the RV when plugged in. It’s done that at least, so it serves it’s purpose well enough. Now I’m wondering how long it’ll keep going.

  3. Worth the price. I bought this in order to cook in my room as most of the house I’m staying in is shared space and my job keeps me up at odd hours. Honestly it’s worth it, but it does have pros and cons.Cons:Chassis is just cheap, easily dentable and can be pulled apart easily if you try. So if you don’t have a safe area to keep it, it can be destroyed if dropped. The right burner started rusting basically immediately. No amount of immediate clean up or Bleach or other cleaners are helping, it’s just slowly rusting. The burners themselves are a little small, if that’s something that’ll bother you. I cook for one person, but cooking many things or for many people will start causing issues.Pros:It gets pretty hot, I have no issues cooking anything I need. While the Chassis feels cheap, the burners are built fine and I don’t have any safety issues using them.1500 total watts, one burner is 900 and one is 600, so if you’re worried about flipping any breakers you can adjust which side you use.A good purchase for the price, something for college students or camping gear if you expect to have power.

  4. For Apartment. Bought for boyfriend’s apartment which has a “kitchenette” if you can even call it that. Works ok. He uses it to cook eggs and basics like that. The only temperature he uses is the high as it’s not very high and does take a bit to heat up. Is a little to snug to fit 2 decent pans on too. I think he’s boiled water with it, but does so with the help of his kettle first. Otherwise he uses his air fryer. Was cheap and does the job.

  5. Wonderful hotplate. I bought the hotplate to use when our kitchen stove was giving out, and it served well and cooked food perfectly. I definitely would recommend this brand for anyone who has an emergency situation with a broken kitchen range. The dials are easy to use, and the frame of the hotplate is very smooth and easy to clean. It also is light weight, and it can be stored in the original box and on a shelf very easily.

  6. Unbelievably great addition to my life. I got two of these burners (2burners on each) after I tried the first one out and loved it. The reason I got it to begin with is that I have a very large glass cooktop made by GE which was very difficult to clean. And when our son left home and my husband took over his duties of cleaning countertops and the stove top after dinner, he hated it so much, I began to investigate what alternative methods I could use to cook a meal.I first tried cooking everything in the oven and burned myself badly twice! That’s when I investigated getting a burner that I could plug-in like this one. I love it! Yes, it takes longer to heat up to high but I just add time for that. I have never made better omelettes than using this burner and the reason is I can’t hurry along like I used to try on the stove top and then get it rubbery and overcooked! It cooks eggs absolutely perfectly. And everything else perfectly too. I even used it to boil pasta and it worked out great. I just had to give it extra time to come to a boil. So now I use two of these every evening and in addition, an incredible large electric pot for large meals that I want to simmer. For searing and browning food, I have another very large electric pan, as well, so the only time I’ve had to use my glass cooktop was for Thanksgiving when I was making too many items to use the burners. Cleaning that terrible cooktop twice a year for holidays is not too much for our family! So what you should know about these burners, is that they work perfectly, but you will need more time to get it hot to begin with. They are extremely easy to clean and there’s no place for anything to go underneath something that is unreachable. I overboiled some soup and thought that it would be a mess to clean up, but it wasn’t at all! I simply got a sponge and wiped it off. I can’t think of a single thing that I don’t like about these burners which are so incredibly reasonably priced. I hope if you get them that you enjoy them as much as I do!

  8. Good, but know what you’re buying. For what it is, this is decent. The small burner is rated 600 watts, the large is 900. In actual use, I measured 580 W and 870 W. Both together 1400 W. This is due to voltage drop that you *will* get in a normal house. That’s normal, and about as much as you will ever get from a 120v appliance.Compare those numbers to a home stove, ~1400 W for a 6″ burner and ~2500 W for an 8″ burner, for reference. All that simply means that you can cook, boil water, make pancakes, etc, but it will take longer for things to heat up.Quality is ok, and for occasional use it is fine. Knobs are a bit loose feeling. Even after ‘burning off’ any residue, there is still a slight odor when it gets really hot.The surface near the burners gets hot, about 180 F. Not enough for an immediate burn, but if you touch it you will go “ooo that’s hot.” You need a cloth or potholder if you need to move it while hot (recently used). The burners are cast iron, no coating. They are fairly thick, and retain good heat. I cooked pancakes on a small cast iron skillet, and the temperature was very consistent. I mostly use this for travel in hotels that only have a microwave. I also keep it handy for emergencies, although I have several gas stoves. Being somewhat lower wattage, it will run off many inexpensive inverters and even some battery packs (i.e. incorrectly named Solar Generators).

  9. Works perfectly. Very easy to clean, heats up perfectly! The cook time is pretty good and it only gets the eye very hot so you don’t burn yourself.

  10. Works well. I have a gas stove and sometimes I run out of propane. When this happens, and I can’t get to the store, I take the 2-burner out of the box to use for cooking. The burners are easy to use and the red light showing when the burner is heating up is very helpful. This burner was well worth purchasing.

  11. Works for the most part. But the temperature knobs have no detents at all – they are free wheeling. The only indictors that the unit is on is a red light that turns off when it reaches the set temporature and then turns off so it could possibly accidentially be left on when you are done with it. It is a bit slow in heating up whatever pot or pan you are using and has a really hard time bring water to a boil in large pots (i.e., 3+ quarts).Overall it does the job but not as well as I expected.

Love my little stove. This small stove has been a very good choice. I live where my kitchen is very small and this size is perfect and it heats up very quickly. It is very efficient.

  13. Plate Works, After Replacement. The reason I wanted this hotplate was to take it camping in out new Ford F150 Lightning, that can export enough power to run a hotplate while we are camping. But the product I received had a defective left burner, that didn’t turn on like the right burner did. I scheduled for a replacement through Amazon, and selected for a replacement rather than a refund. To my surprise. the replacement showed up the next day and both burners work, as you can see in my second photo. I finally got around to returning the original hotplate a few days later, and that went seamlessly. I was very happy with this transaction, it went just as business should, like I am being treated as family and not some stranger to be used. As much as I have issued with Amazon in general,. this gives me hope that things can actually work, and the people involved can actually care.

  14. Acceptable for Emergencies. The media could not be loaded. I purchased this for emergency use in a “grid down” scenario (I have solar to power small electric appliances in that scenario). The low price suggests I shouldn’t expect top-tier performance. While I have reservations about this product’s quality, I would give it an acceptable rating when considering the price-to-performance ratio. It does get hot, both burners can boil water, and I believe it will be able to accomplish my goals in an emergency.OUT OF THE BOX (see video): (1). Unit wobbled when placed on a flat surface. It rests on three feet, while the fourth foot does not touch the flat surface. The unit is not warped, and nothing on the bottom of the unit is preventing any of the feet from resting on the flat surface; it’s just that one foot appears to be poorly installed permanently. This could be a safety issue. (2). With both burners set to “1,” the small burner on the right reached a temp of 227 F (as shown on an infrared thermometer), while the larger burner on the left only got to 193-ish F.NOT SHOWN ON VIDEO: The disparity between the two burners’ temperature was even higher when the burners were set to lower points than “1.” Further, when both burners were set to “4” (not at the same time), the small burner on the right got to 764 F, while the larger burner on the left only got to 716 F. Perhaps the larger burner’s consistently lower achieved temps were due to the sheer fact that the heat is distributed over a larger plate surface. Not sure.

  15. excelente. wow genial la comida sebprepara rapidisimo muy buen producto

  16. Muy bueno. Excelente

  17. Quality over all. Burners are perfect quality, look nice and easy to keep clean

  18. Solid product, works well. This hot plate worked well for us every day for 2 months during our recent kitchen remodel. It was routinely used to boil water for coffee and pasta, and heat pans for eggs. If possible, try to avoid using both sides at their max setting for too long, or with other power intensive items. We connected this to a power strip, and it tripped the strip on a few occasions when using with other small appliances.

  19. Works Great. This is a great product. Since my stove decided to go out on me, this has been a terrific substitute while shopping for a new one. So far, I’ve cooked scrambled eggs and pasta. The only word of caution is that it takes quite a while to cool down after use. I

  20. Love it. Works well and it is light and compact. The price is awesome too. It works great. As soon as it arrived. I used it to make eggs on one burner and boiled water for on the other burner. it takes a couple minutes to warm up but its Excellent. Recommendation use max heat to start then once desired temp is reached lover the heat to medium or low
